Sisterly Edification for October 5

Hello sisters!

I'm back! All the glory and praise to God for keeping us and for allowing us to use this technology for good! No glory to man or us but God alone!

Do we believe God's Word sisters?

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

2 Timothy 3:12-14

That does not mean we just go along and don't stand against sin and wickedness and deception does it. No we are to strive to live holy! We would not be persecuted then would we if we just fit in. We would be loved by the world instead.

Obviously the first thing people notice is our dress and headcovering and I'm sure they don't like that but that doesn't matter what they think! We live to please God! If anything it might cause questions to be asked for sharing the gospel right? And then all our actions and our firm standing on God's truth and ways, the separation we must have from sinful people especially those claiming Christ will also cause conflict with those around us. We will not be popular for sure and we don't want to be, only pleasing to God but yes we do want others to find Him too but the way is narrow. And we are to the best of our ability to live in peace with others but we know we must obey God rather than man.

Thank you sister for the pictures of God's creation...

Glory to God...how beautiful!

And thank you sisters for the scriptures...

That's pretty clear sisters! If we love the things of this world we do not have the love of the Father. We got told what the things of the world are...like the lust of the eyes and flesh and pride of life. We all could think deeply about what that could be. We want none of that sisters! A big one would be the way the world dresses too (and us sisters in the past and sadly most people claiming to be of Christ too). The world dresses to fulfill their lusts and pride in that area for sure. They love that...so the love of the Father is not in them. But we hate those things and want to please the Father by obeying His ways to clothe ourselves and all other areas too.

Praise God for giving us warnings and reminders from those gone before us...remember Lot's wife. Let us press forward following after this glorious risen Saviour and enduring till the end!

Praise God for that! Amen darkness to light in His Son!

The body of Christ is so alive isn't it. By that I mean it's working in the way God has for it doing good works, loving the brethren caring for them and rejoicing and weeping and bearing burdens with one another, sharing the gospel, and such like. Indeed we have been raised from spiritual death! Let us strive on in newness of life!

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Romans 6:13

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:5

Here's some sunshine and peaceful scene from my room window...

Pretty creations from the Father...sky, sunshine, clouds, trees, grass!

And some garden produce...

And carrying it up to the house...

And chopped up to cook and eat...

Praise God for providing and that we godly women often get to get the foods God makes to grow and make them into things to feed others. What a good and pure job!

And thank you faithful sister for more gifts to share here:-)

The Lord is worthy to be praised continually!

What forgiveness on the part of brother Stephen there! Interesting God had a plan for one of his persecutors to become his brother Paul. What a great example to us of not only his forgivesness but God's also! One day we shall all be gathered home together to the Lord with all those who were faithful before us!

Amen sisters, let's focus on what is most important first! The Lord will take care of the rest!

OK well I better go now. Lord willing I will be back tomorrow! Hold fast to the true faith once delivered sisters!

Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jude 1:2-3

Much love in Christ,

Scripture Collection and Encouragement

Greetings godly sisters!

I'm back again. How are each of you going? Striving and strong, rooted in Christ and His peace that the world can't take away I hope!

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

I just thought I'd share a collection of edifying and encouraging scriptures for us all to ponder. God's Word is true and so strengthening is it not sisters?!

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Isaiah 64:8

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

2 Corinthians 7:10

And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Romans 5:11

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18

Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Joel 2:12-13

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

(thank you for the pictures sister:-)

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Romans 12:15

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12:26

Those are so true in the life of true and loving saints. Such a contrast isn't it sisters from the big church buildings today that someone can slip in and out of with no one having a clue what is going on in their life and of course there is no real unity because no one knows what the other believes. What a counterfeit of God's ways He ordained. Praise God for the true body of Christ and God's true ways. We are knit together in love and working as a body, all with different roles and abilities and gifts but nevertheless the same love and care for each other without partiality.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

1 Corinthians 12:25

Thank you sister for these pictures...gifts of love that I get to also share here.

Amen indeed it is a blessing and refreshment to know of and have communication with other saints who love the Lord fervently. It is refreshing to share daily life together, the joys and the sorrows as we run this race, glorifying and praising the Lord together.

Amen sisters let us remember that the Lord gives us peace and safety. Our trust must be in Him.

What a great God we serve who knows all things and changes not!

And a sister and I were sharing about how when we say things we need to mean them. Like for example when we say 'the will of the Lord be done' we need to have realized the depths of what that means. It is a total surrender of our will to His isn't it. We sometimes find we really didn't mean it or understand the depths of it until something  unexpected or disappointing comes upon us and we get moved or discouraged.

And it can be in other things too like when we say we trust God we have to mean it too. I so love what Job said here...

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job 13:15

In fact aren't you thankful for the example of Job and what horrendous situations the Lord allowed to happen to him...yet he trusted still.

And another sister was sharing how she is amazed at how few true believers there really are. I was too when I first learned the truth and I still have a hard time realizing it but it's one of those things we just have to trust the Lord about. He will deal with everyone justly. We have been told the way is strait and narrow and there are few! We must cling to Him.

There are other areas we have to really think whether we really mean what we say or not like in forgiveness and love. People can say they forgive but if it isn't full forgiveness, well aren't you thankful for your own life that Jesus' forgiveness is full? He doesn't hold sin against us that we repented of. So we need to have the same forgiveness lest we not be forgiven by God either. And love too...it's not just words but actions. So we need to make sure our words are not idle but sincere from the heart meaning what we say. And the Lord knows the truth and all the motives of our hearts and those around us.

We all learn in the depths of trust and faith and being submitted to the Lord's will don't we sisters. His promise is that it all works for good to those who love Him.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

And thank you sisters for these scriptures you shared with me today...

And the sun sets on my day...

Lord willing (meaning I will be submitted and content if He has other plans for me or takes away our ability to communicate) I will be back here tomorrow. I know you sisters understand that too.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 124:8

Love in Christ to you all.

Hold fast!

Thoughts for Today

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:15

Are you thankful today for all the blessings we have?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Ephesians 1:3

Amen sisters we have very many blessings! Let us remember this and be thankful and content, leading quiet and peaceable lives.

Don't we hear this sisters?

Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

Malachi 2:17

That can be hard to bear sisters as we live our lives with those around us, family or the outside world. So many take it all lightly and have switched what is good and pure calling that evil and evil good. They can think we are crazy striving to obey the Lord and live holy lives can't they and all the while they're claiming to be followers of Christ and they laugh about the things of God.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20

But we just go on minding our own business, shining our lights, striving to please our Lord and prepared to speak the truth of the gospel.

Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Malachi 3:16-18

We all have this battle of flesh versus spirit don't we sisters. Praise God for the Spirit in us that wants to be pleasing and holy to our great God. And we strive on in faith looking for the great hope to come.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1 John 3:1-3

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 23:3-6

Praise God for the peace He can give us...even as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Let us trust Him, sisters, with a simple childlike faith even if we can't see what is ahead. Let us keep our eyes on Christ and things above!

And let's give Him glory for some things from His creation too.

A pretty pink bird...

And a cute baby lizard...

I'm grateful for asparagus from the garden...

And next year's plums...

I'm thankful that God made these fruit bearing trees and that they continue to do what they are supposed to do...be fruitful and multiply...and it provides us delicious food. Praise God!

And I love watching the wind blow through the grasses...

Praise God for wind and fresh air! All His world fits together as He created it. This goes along with this scripture that a sister shared today...

Share a cup of tea sisters...

Some Titus 2...

Praise the Lord for providing and for the good things we have to do to work with our own hands.

And thank you sisters for sharing these scriptures with me today...

I so appreciate you who love the Lord and love the brethren fervently. It is a precious thing in this dark world and where most are seeking their own desires and not serving God or others. Until tomorrow Lord willing sisters, hold fast!

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Love to you all,

Sister Michaela

Sisterly Edification for a New Day

Greetings sisters!

I'm back one more day! I hope you are all striving on looking forward to the hope set before us.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:1-3

God is trustworthy isn't He sisters! He cannot lie and His promises are true!

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Titus 1:2

I read you sisters a scripture...Galatians 6. Hope it can edify you.

Peaceful chickens...

And little lamb...

And the neighbours alpaca...interesting creatures.

God's creatures doing what they were created to do! Let us strive to do what we were created for too sisters!

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:24-27

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:18

Thank you sisters for sharing these scriptures today. I appreciate your love of God and how you overcome in Him.

Lord willing I will be back tomorrow sisters. One day if we endure we shall all be gathered together with the Lord! Until then sisters strive on faithful to the Lord we love!

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Jude 1:20-21

Love in Christ to you,

Edification for Today

Good day sister saints of God!

Here's some more simple edification for your day. Praise God for His ways and let us strive to walk in them all! I'm grateful we have His Word to guide us how to live pleasing to Him!

I love these verses that show some of what it's to be like in the body of Christ.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Romans 12:16

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12:25-26

I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

1 Timothy 5:21

God's ways are wonderful when fully followed aren't they and when His saints strive to obey them crucifying their own selfish fleshly desires and instead walking in the Spirit.

I'm so thankful God told us how to live!

These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:  But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

1 Timothy 3:14-15

And I share some pictures of God's beautiful creation from the other side of the world that a sister sent me. Thank you sister:-) Glory to God!

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Ephesians 2:13-14

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

Glory to our God for such beautiful things! We know so little about all He has made really, it's so huge and detailed, but He is worthy to be praised for it all!

And you can have some lemon chia pudding I made today...

Praise God we have good foods and a great variety to eat today!

Sisters, Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow. I may have a quiet life with little variation from day to day but there's always some edification and encouragement to be shared in God's Word! And there's other godly women out there where God has them doing such similar things.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

And we can be bright lights shining in this dark world as wickedness grows. But we know our Saviour is coming back again!

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 2:4-6

Love in Christ,
