Thoughts for Today

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:15

Are you thankful today for all the blessings we have?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Ephesians 1:3

Amen sisters we have very many blessings! Let us remember this and be thankful and content, leading quiet and peaceable lives.

Don't we hear this sisters?

Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

Malachi 2:17

That can be hard to bear sisters as we live our lives with those around us, family or the outside world. So many take it all lightly and have switched what is good and pure calling that evil and evil good. They can think we are crazy striving to obey the Lord and live holy lives can't they and all the while they're claiming to be followers of Christ and they laugh about the things of God.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20

But we just go on minding our own business, shining our lights, striving to please our Lord and prepared to speak the truth of the gospel.

Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Malachi 3:16-18

We all have this battle of flesh versus spirit don't we sisters. Praise God for the Spirit in us that wants to be pleasing and holy to our great God. And we strive on in faith looking for the great hope to come.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1 John 3:1-3

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 23:3-6

Praise God for the peace He can give us...even as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Let us trust Him, sisters, with a simple childlike faith even if we can't see what is ahead. Let us keep our eyes on Christ and things above!

And let's give Him glory for some things from His creation too.

A pretty pink bird...

And a cute baby lizard...

I'm grateful for asparagus from the garden...

And next year's plums...

I'm thankful that God made these fruit bearing trees and that they continue to do what they are supposed to do...be fruitful and multiply...and it provides us delicious food. Praise God!

And I love watching the wind blow through the grasses...

Praise God for wind and fresh air! All His world fits together as He created it. This goes along with this scripture that a sister shared today...

Share a cup of tea sisters...

Some Titus 2...

Praise the Lord for providing and for the good things we have to do to work with our own hands.

And thank you sisters for sharing these scriptures with me today...

I so appreciate you who love the Lord and love the brethren fervently. It is a precious thing in this dark world and where most are seeking their own desires and not serving God or others. Until tomorrow Lord willing sisters, hold fast!

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Love to you all,

Sister Michaela
