Hello sisters!
Good day to you in the Lord our God!
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
2 John 1:3
The end of another month has already come! I am able to be back and share a picture catch up post then too.
I hope you're all keeping well and busy in the labours God has given you. Above all, I hope you are keeping the faith and striving on in His ways and all good works! We should always ponder our ways and make any adjustments needed.
It can be amazing how much has been packed into a month which you have forgotten! The time seems to go fast but also so much can be done in it as the Lord allowed!
Lots of work going on in the garden here, well when I can at least. Also challenges to overcome as there seems to be so many more critters out to eat the new seedlings. So I'm behind, but finding ways to get around it. I'm thankful for what grows relatively problem free!
There's still a lot growing to be thankful for.
And hopes of more harvesting to come!
God is always good no matter what!
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Thankful for any harvest!
Thankful for all the ferments I have been able to do while I can; sourdough, kefir, and sauerkraut.
Been experimenting with more things with kefir! This is carob 'yoghurt' with it. Very good in my opinion.
This is kefir cheese dip (with garlic and chives)...
I 'overferment' the kefir and strain out the whey for both of those.
Still keeping reasonably busy with cleaning. I had the biggest cleaning job I've ever done this month which took 9.5 hours straight for me with only a six minute lunch break. I'm glad I've been getting stronger the more cleaning I do as I was expecting to be more sore than I was. Anyway I try to realize my limitations and need to say no to such jobs in future I think or do them more spread out! It's more hectic when you're working for an hourly rate than just going along in your own home at your own pace!
I have about 3-4 cleaning jobs a week on average so I have a variety of things to keep occupied in which is a blessing. I could go 'full time' with cleaning by there's other important things to do too and my needs are met and you just be patient in saving up for other possible things or to have to give if others have true needs.
It can be satisfying cleaning really dirty things. Cleaning isn't 'exciting' but when it makes things drastically better it seems more worthwhile or something!
A good before and after picture can be encouraging too! I've been helping some of my family move out of a rental and into another so a lot of cleaning and moving has been going on with a lot of travel too. I'm back there now as I type this. And the power has been turned off so it's a little more challenging too.
Thankful for some form of light and for a battery powered vacuum.
Light is a gift especially in the spiritual meaning! Christ is the light of the world but we are to be also! We do that by believing in Him and following His ways!
Reminds me of this scripture actually.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 13:12
A lot of cleaning of big empty rooms to be done...including some 'children's artwork' on the walls.
Satisfying getting to the end of the day with other things and a bathroom deep cleaned.
It was/is just me staying at their old house. A big thunderstorm came through earlier in the month so I watched it while I worked on curtains.
There was a fire too so I had to call the fire brigade as it was hot and windy and the farmer wasn't around. Thankful it's still green as summer fires are not light matters here.
Several police cars came too.
More storms rolled in as I cleaned...
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.1 John 1:7
There's a lot of monarch butterfly caterpillars on the milkweed bush here. My little one year old niece loves butterflies so I gave them some to raise and watch hatch into butterflies! That's an amazing process God created!
Though spiders are not my favourite creatures, there are some interesting ones...
Little gecko creature...
Some beautiful weather too!
The birds are especially loud this time of year though there's always a lot around.
Just prettiness.
God is good to allow us see beauty on this earth that is greatly changed because of sin. No one deserves to see His goodness.
To God be the glory for all beautiful things He has made!
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,Psalm 19:1-4
So that's another month behind us! Only the Lord knows what the next month will bring. We can trust it to Him and keep walking in hope! (You can see my last months post here.)
Keep pressing on in all the Lord has given you to do, sisters! We are to do all things as unto Him!
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.Colossians 3:23-24
Love, mercy, and peace in our Lord.
