Today's Edification (16 June 2026)

Hello sisters!

I get to drop in again to share in the Lord and His truth here! God's mercies are new every morning! Great is His faithfulness!

The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

Psalm 145:8-10

This is a good scripture to ponder and set our thinking straight because many many people say they are believers, yet their actions suggest otherwise. Let us also be warned ourselves too.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:21-23

People do get stumbled and swept away by seeing so called signs and wonders from people who claim His name and are not biblical. It's really sad but we need to not be deceived by such things but walk by faith in the truth, and certainly be obeying all of His ways including the hard ones, no excuses.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:22

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
James 1:26

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
James 2:20-22

We do not want to be living in vain or deceived

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:7-9

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Ephesians 5:6

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:3

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1 John 3:7

Yes, we had better be on guard. We are to walk circumspectly and soberly through this life. But we have His Word and Spirit to guide us! May we put on our armour so we will be able to stand and overcome through it all!

Love unto you in His name. Hold fast to the truth sisters!
