Today's Edification (19 November 2025)

Hello again sisters!

God granted life another day in His mercy and many blessings in the day! It is good to get our mind set on Him and seeking Him first. There may be many things to do in a day but through it all there is only one thing needful and that is the Lord and eternal things. Just reminds me of Martha who was too anxious about getting things right in serving.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Luke 10:38-42

Let us keep everything in the right perspective. Yes it is good to serve as Jesus said so and showed us that Himself in His life but it shouldn't get out of place and be more important than things that truly matter.

I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 18:1-3

May our Lord be our first love always. And we know we do that by being careful to obey Him. We are thankful for all His goodness to us and what our Saviour did for us. As we know we cannot serve two masters and we cannot love God and the world at the same time.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:15-17

May we do the will of God with His help, sisters. So strive on and hold fast. Love unto you in His name.
