Greetings sister saints!
Here is another day to walk in all His good and pure ways! I hope you are steadfast and strong in the faith. If not, keep looking to the Lord and His truth and hold on and keep walking in His ways. We know we will have spiritual battles to fight and we have the world to keep ourselves from the best we can. May the Lord help us fight on!
I came across this scripture and it's a good one of Paul's heart of godly love to other saints.
For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
2 Corinthians 2:4-8
Indeed God had given him great responsibilities in his ministry. I'm thankful for all we have that is written down for our instruction today too! And we can learn what we can from good examples too.
This scripture on godly love is great too...
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Good to ponder and test ourselves against.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;Romans 12:10
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Colossians 3:12-15
His ways are clearly taught to us and they are precious. So let us be doers of the Word!
Keep pressing on, sisters, in the things the Lord gave you! Let us look to the Lord and be of good courage for He has overcome this wicked world! Mercy, peace, and love to you in the truth.
