Good day sisters!
Every day is a good one in the Lord! If we focus on Him and His goodness and are steadfast and faithful in Him then all is well. We have hope of an incomparable better place to come. And His will is best for us here too. Trials are to be rejoiced in! Yes, doesn't mean there won't be sorrow but our Lord Himself was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we are no greater than our Master of course. Our faith may be tested and that is a good thing if we press through and overcome!
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.Job 23:10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.Psalm 66:10
And He may chasten us as well and that is a good thing!
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.Hebrews 12:11
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.Revelation 3:19
May our faith be strong and unmoveable through all things. Even every day life that's just much the same day in and day out needs pressing through and even in that there's always thoughts and attitudes to adjust and test our actions and how we spent our days. Were we content and thankful and redeeming the time the best we can?
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.Ephesians 5:15-17
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.Hebrews 13:5-6
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.1 Thessalonians 5:18
His Word guides, teaches, convicts, corrects and comforts us and much more!
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.2 Timothy 3:16-17
Yes may we be throughly furnished unto all good works! Reminds me of this scripture which I think I just shared the other day too but it's a good picture of what we should be.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.2 Timothy 2:21
So may we be useful vessels for our Lord occupying in all good things. May we be faithful servants occupying while our Master is 'gone'. We want to be found faithful and still doing what He commanded us when He returns! Let us not get entangled with the affairs of this life.
