Today's Edification (25 April 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Another day to glorify and thank the Lord for all the blessings we enjoy in this life. We truly are the rich ones as we have such a grand inheritance laid up for us until the redemption of the purchased possession! We have the earnest of our inheritance, the holy Spirit of truth, but the rest is a hope to come if we keep our covenant with Christ faithfully.

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Ephesians 1:12-21

That is a great encouraging scripture of our blessed hope in Christ! Let us labour to abide in Him and His love. Indeed He came to save us from our sins which lead to our death. We can have power over them and to keep fighting all enemies of the soul with what He has provided! Our complete salvation is to come if we endure isn't it sisters. Let us rejoice in this hope and keep striving on in holiness.

We have a wonderful Saviour who became as one of us and went through things we do too.

He was tired...

Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
John 4:6
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Mark 4:38

He was hungry...

Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
Matthew 21:18-19

He wanted to not have to go through something...

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Matthew 26:37-39

He cried...

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Luke 19:41
Jesus wept.
John 11:35

He was moved with compassion...

And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
Mark 1:41

He was tempted...

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:1-4

All this without sin! Truly He was human, one of us, while being the Son of God and indeed God made flesh who dwelt among us!

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16

How blessed we are in Him. Let us follow His perfect example! Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift!

I hope all your duties as godly women are going well sisters! Let us keep pressing on and not growing weary in any well doing. We will reap in due season if we faint not! Love and peace to you in His name.
