Greetings in Christ, sisters!
Hope you're doing well today! We have so many blessings each day to be thankful for!
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:Psalm 92:1
Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.Psalm 97:12
O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.Psalm 107:1
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:1 Corinthians 10:31-32
We are to be careful not to stumble others.
But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.1 Corinthians 8:12-13
Of course we look at the context in all scriptures but it's definitely a concept we need to be aware of.
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.Romans 15:1-3
And we know so much is summed up in loving our neighbours as ourselves, and especially fellow believers, God's children.
Reminders me of these scriptures too about preferring others...
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.Philippians 2:3-4
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;Romans 12:10
This goes a long with what I mentioned yesterday...
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;1 Thessalonians 4:4
Yes we must be in control of ourselves at all times.
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.James 3:2
So strive on sisters in the ways God has for godly women! We must bring ourselves into subjection to these! Keep walking in the truth!
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.2 Corinthians 13:11
