Greetings in Christ to my sisters!
One month of the year is over and time is moving on swiftly. So let us keep redeeming the time for the Lord and good works unto Him and that we were created for! Good to just stop and think and reflect on our use of time isn't it. And change anything that needs correcting too.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.Ephesians 5:15-17
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.Colossians 4:5-6
And in Titus 2 areas, whether that would be writing a list of what we need to do or forcing ourselves to do things we don't want to do but that keep getting put off! There's just ways to be more time efficient and organized. We know God is one of order and disorder can be a sign of laziness sometimes no doubt but certainly not always. Reading about the industrious Proverbs 31 woman can be inspiring as well although we don't all have the same life or opportunities she did we just need to do the best with what the Lord has given us right sisters?!
I was pondering this scripture too and it's a good one to keep in mind in how we deal with others especially fellow believers. It really helps you see the severity of not treating people rightly too.
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:31-40
And it also reminds me of this one where you can't say you love God and not love your sibling in the faith at the same time.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.1 John 4:20-21
I was pondering how what we focus on magnifies! So that means we want to focus on the Lord right sisters and not all the things down here and the problems and things we will never understand. A lot of times I can't understand why people do what they do. And I don't want to misjudge anyone or imagine things so best not to think about them unless we need to. And we also don't want to focus on problems and the 'what ifs' in life do we so let us focus on our glorious Lord!
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;2 Corinthians 10:4-5
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
Psalm 34:3-9
So it must be time for a picture catch up post. I've had quite a busy few weeks and a couple trips back and forth to the children's in there so I'll just dump any pictures I have of good pure and true things in here and maybe it's a blessing to you somehow! And all we do is to be for His glory isn't it! So may He be glorified in all things!
There's a lot of garden and fruit pictures here...
I'm thankful for anything that's growing well here as it's been a challenge with a lot of hungry creatures around, nibbling off tasty young vegetable seedlings, and other issues with some plants.
Still quite a lot of blessings the Lord grew for food!
Amazing that just getting all the water out of them can preserve them for a long time. Good snacks!
So much sand blowing around on windy days here...
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.John 7:37
This was a skirt for my sewing shop. And it's been really quiet on my shop for quite some time but that's always how it seems to go! But we know biblical clothing is not popular but either way I'm thankful to be here for anyone who needs some!
I think of this scripture...
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.Luke 16:15
And while it doesn't apply in all situations I know like needing to eat food and everyone having a house etc but it could apply to types of clothing no doubt. God's ways are so good but yet so few want them as yes the way is narrow. Hard on the flesh but a joy in the spirit! The flesh wants things right here and now and whatever it wants but in the Spirit we are living for eternity aren't we! And we are not our own but the Lord's.
And finally a pretty sunset through the smoke this evening...
And another day is over. Yes time is moving on and eternity is coming closer for each of us and indeed also the Lord's mighty and glorious return for the end of this earth as we know it.But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:10-14
So let us be diligent sisters. We want all to be well between us and the Lord. We want to be ready and watching at all times and not caught unprepared like the five foolish virgins. This life is really very serious. We don't want to be fooling around in this world without being reconciled to God.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.2 Corinthians 5:20-21
May we be reconciled to God and I encourage all who are reading to make that their priority in life...to be at peace with God, glorifying Him for He is worthy! We find peace with Him through the good news of Christ and the path He established. (You can see that summarized in the link below).
And so it is time for me to get rest for another day if the Lord wills. Peaceful crescent moon and a planet over my little house...
Goodnight sisters:) Lord willing I will share again here tomorrow. I hope that the good works you're doing are going well wherever you are and whatever time you're reading here! Know the Lord sees and that's what's most important as by faith we strive to please Him! Hold fast to the truth and may the Lord keep and sustain you all. My love be with you. Farewell.
