Today's Edification (22 February 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

Here is another day to serve the Lord and be thankful for all our blessings in Him! He is good and has been so merciful to us! It is pleasing to Him when we are thankful, content, and satisfied in Him! He is our portion and all we need! His grace is sufficient for us!

So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
Psalm 79:13

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Psalm 97:12

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Psalm 100:4

So I hope you're all being thankful in the Lord! We are truly rich in Him. And let us keep going in all our duties the Lord has for us as women and doing them with joy and peace in our hearts. Don't grow weary sisters!

I'm sharing some more precious truths of Christ...

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 1:18-23

I'm thankful for the good news that we Gentiles can come into reconciliation with God and into one body through Christ's death!

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Ephesians 2:12-18

Surely this is the beginning of the gospel message to the world! It is good news of hope indeed! And then our actions of holiness and obedience follow our faith in our mighty Saviour!

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:14-16

There's so many things that you can read in the Word that you can kind of skim over inadvertently and not think of the depths of things. That's interesting to ponder that account in the old testament of the brass serpent that people could look at and be healed!

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Numbers 21:8-9

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.
John 12:32-33

Indeed we too can only have life through our Saviour lifted up in death.

This account is amazing too...

And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:

Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

Luke 9:28-31

Interesting that they were talking about Christ's death. We know He fulfilled so much in that.

And the fact that Jesus walked on water is another account to make us marvel too. Not that anything is impossible with God of course but we know Peter by faith also did so! I just heard that account the other day and it made me rejoice.

And there's so many wonderful accounts where peoples lives were changed physically and spiritually too. And you can ponder a lot on them. As John said he supposed the world couldn't contain the books that could be written about Jesus and all He did! Glory to God for such a wonderful Saviour!

So let us follow and obey Him, abiding in His love and keeping His Word!

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:8-10

So strive on sisters! Our redemption draws nearer! Be of good courage as He has overcome the world! We shall overcome in Him too!

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:11

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 5:3-5

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:37

Hold fast in the truth sisters. Love to you in His name. Mercy and peace.

Today's Edification (21 February 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I am dropping back again with some edifying for your day. Just a little bit today as my day was busy and long but I'm sure you know how things can be and it's all good duties to occupy in but I'm thankful to drop in here a bit too! I hope you are striving on and standing for all truth wherever you are.

I had travels back from the children's as well and I got to listen to scripture.

This stood out to me how saints were helping one another.

But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
2 Corinthians 8:14-15

It reminds me how life changes and sometimes someone may have more and sometimes less and vice versa and how they were to help those in need. And the reason saints labour is not only for their own needs but also to have to give to those in need. And we know food and raiment are the most important physical items we all need! And yet most of us have more but as you go through the world you can't help but get tired of what they're rushing after and the efforts and burdens of having a huge amount of possessions. Just seeing it all makes me feel tired as you have to look after it all and then you fear something might happen to it etc.

The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand.

As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.

And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?

Ecclesiastes 5:12-16

So let us seek first God's kingdom and righteousness and all we need will be added unto us and indeed it has been for now and we trust the Lord for the future. May our treasures be above, incorruptible ones!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:3-4

So hold fast sisters and keep pressing forwards on the narrow road! We have a lively hope in our Saviour! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (20 February 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I hope you're pressing on the narrow way after our Lord, today!

I'm sharing some scriptures on understanding today. I shared yesterday how Jesus made sure His disciples understood what He was teaching and so it is important we understand the truth also the best we can with His help.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Matthew 13:23

And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
Mark 7:14-15

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Luke 24:45

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Psalm 111:10

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
Psalm 119:104

I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
Psalm 119:125

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:3-6

There's so many more scriptures on it but we know the Lord is the source of true wisdom and knowledge!

I came across this scripture today too and we know it is talking about our Saviour. Indeed He was a man of sorrows.

Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Psalm 69:20-21

And yet many today have made Him into a partying 'friend of sinners' which is such a lie. Let us follow the true holy Saviour.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Hebrews 7:25-26

This life is serious. And while we have much to rejoice in in the Lord we also must be sober minded and there is so much at stake it is nothing to take lightly. May we have His peace and joy in our hearts as we go through this life and take whatever comes! Keep pressing on in the truth and your good works where you are sisters! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (19 February 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I am dropping back in again with a little edifying. I have had a busy day helping at the children's so may need to be brief but there's always something to share from His Word and it's important too! I hope you're all ok and striving to walk in all truth.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:4

I got to listen to a lot of scripture on my travels yesterday and one thing that stood out was Jesus making sure His disciples understood what He was teaching.

Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
Matthew 13:51

While it would be wonderful if we could ask Him directly of all the questions we have, let us just do our best and also beware of coming to our own conclusions or adding or taking away from His Word even inadvertently. The Lord have mercy on us if we're truly willing and open to all truth.

We can't do what Mary was doing...

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
Luke 10:39

But let us search the scriptures daily and try to do so not through any mindset that we have which the Lord can help us get rid of.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

We are so blessed to have His written Word! And yes we have to deal with a translation but let us seek and He will reveal all we need to know! And the rest let us just trust He knows all!

So hold fast to Christ and to sound doctrine sisters! Lord willing I will drop in here again to edify you tomorrow! Fervent love to my sisters who love and obey the Lord our great God.

We love him, because he first loved us...And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1 John 4:19,21

Today's Edification (18 February 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are pressing on for the kingdom today! We want to walk worthy of such a great God as ours. We are children of light not of darkness.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:7-11

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-6

Those are great encouraging scriptures of how things are and how we are to be!

It is always fascinating seeing all the things that particularly Jesus fulfilled in His life. Truly He is the mystery kept secret from the foundation of the world but now fully revealed!

And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

But God raised him from the dead:

Acts 13:28-30

We know Jesus' death was no mere plan of man but the perfect plan of God. He laid down His own life in His own power! He died for our sins. For this we can be eternally grateful to Him.

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Matthew 26:52-54

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Mark 14:49

And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
Mark 15:28

For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
John 19:36

It's amazing realizing that our Lord fulfilled so much of the Old! It's such a good subject to look into and it really helps you read the Old Testament in a different way as well as you see the Saviour foretold right through and many things pointing towards Him!

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:17-18

Let us follow after our Saviour! He is the way the truth and the life!

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Hebrews 10:19-20
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
Hebrews 7:19

But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Hebrews 8:6-7

But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Acts 13:37-39

Let us hear Him.

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Luke 9:35

For it is serious if we do not heed Him.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews 10:26-31

Keep walking in the fear of God sisters. Let us watch and be ready.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
1 Peter 4:7

Love to you in His name. Keep pressing on in all your duties as godly women and do them all with joy as unto the Lord and heartily! May we keep our eyes on Christ our Saviour!

Greetings sister saints!

How are you today? I hope you're strong in the faith and also well physically but that isn't always the case on this earth is it, so just keep pressing through whatever your life is at the moment! Usually things change in our lives even when some things seem to be the same for a long time but there's always changes. Each day is even unique and over time things never stay exactly the same. We just need to be content through all things don't we sisters! And trust in our Lord and obey His Word which changes not.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5

It is interesting to ponder how what man does can effect what God does though and He changes if man does. Reminds you again that what we do matters and sin matters.

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
1 Samuel 2:30

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

1 Samuel 13:13-14

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Genesis 6:6-8

Just a few examples but there's more. May we take heed. Let us not grieve the Lord by being rebellious against the order He commanded for us. We know those who obey are the ones that are allowed to enter the kingdom. There's so many verses that speak of consequences and use the word 'if' with promises.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Ephesians 4:30

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Romans 8:13

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
2 Timothy 2:11-13

But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Hebrews 3:6

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
Hebrews 3:14

Let us not be naive about the fact that there are conditions we must meet. The Lord help us! Let us love God with all we are and our neighbours as our self. That's really what all the Word comes down to! Simple isn't it but of course there's more details He gave us which is a blessing!

So strive on faithfully sisters! Lord willing I will be back here again tomorrow. Love to you in the faith.

Hello sisters!

May the joy that is ahead of us encourage us to keep pressing on each day! There is so much laid up for God's children who endure faithful until the end. Just as our Lord endured the cross for the joy set before Him, so too can we be strengthened to press on thinking of the glory that is to follow for the faithful.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

John 14:1-4

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:3-7

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:4

Our Lord is merciful to offer this to us. And He made a way for us to find this eternal life through His Son! Let us follow after Him in obedience to obtain this joy! Indeed we must keep pressing on as we have not received our salvation yet! We have the hope of it if we strive on to the end! I hope and pray we all do. God wants none to perish and we don't either as we hope all will repent as that would be glorious. But God is also just and righteous and sin cannot stand in His sight. Let us strive to walk worthy of this high calling sisters. We are children of light. Let us keep laying aside and casting off any hindrances or sins.

I was pondering on this scripture...

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Acts 20:35

And indeed God gave Himself for the world while most rejected Him. And it also reminds me how Jesus taught us not to call those who may recompense you to a feast but those who couldn't. And while in our rich cultures it's much more rare that there's people with true needs of lacking food and clothing but it matters what we would do if we had the opportunities. God knows our hearts.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Ephesians 4:28

Indeed the reason saints are to work is to meet the needs of others and of course their own needs like Paul did and also provide for their own lest they deny the faith by being slothful and uncaring. We are not to lay up treasures upon earth. We want our treasures above. There will our heart be!

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

Keep pressing on strong in all your duties you have as women, sisters! We know the Lord is glorified in submissive, humble, serving women with meek and quiet spirits!

Much love to you all in the faith. Hold fast till He comes! Our redemption draws nearer!

Greetings in His name, sisters!

Hope you're well today and striving on steadfastly in the faith! I am back again in God's will to share some edifying. We know life is short so let us live for eternity and be ready to meet our God which is an amazing thought in itself. And I think it carries with it some fear and also wonder and joy as well because He loves His children and yet we remember His severity. We know not all who call Him Lord and do many wonderful works will be saved. Let us strive to do His will sisters.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:36

Sharing some scriptures of what we are to strive for as we don't settle for less than what pleases our Lord. We have a high calling in Christ don't we sisters! Let us aim for it always.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
Philippians 2:15

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:26-27

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:8

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
1 Thessalonians 3:13

In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.
Colossians 1:22

So let us keep examining our lives and proving all things, cleaving to the good and rejecting the evil according to the Word. So strive on sisters, forgetting those things behind and reaching forth to those things ahead!

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Ephesians 6:24

Hello again sisters!

Our Lord's mercies are new every day! Let us put all our hope in Him! I hope you're striving on in the kingdom today!

Sharing this passage with you today. I was just pondering on it and how God's timing is best as I'm sure that lame man was around when Jesus was as it said he was laid daily at the gate of the temple and that we know he was lame from birth and he has over 40 years old when he was healed so that's interesting. Reminds me of the blind man who they asked Jesus whether he had sinned or his parents that he was born blind but it was so the glory of God should be shown. Helps us not doubt and worry about situations too doesn't it. Always something to glean from all parts of His word!

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Acts 3:1-16

Quite an amazing account and I would be rejoicing and praising God too! So let us trust that...

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Let us rest in our God and submit to His will and timing and wait upon Him.

I have had a busy day of work so will leave it here for now. Keep holding fast to the truth sisters as if we compromise it just leads to another and another and we do not want our names blotted out of the book for life. Press on in faith and we have so much in the written Word to guide us. We must love Him first with all we are and be seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. Strive on sisters! My love to you in Christ our Savior.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:14

Today's Edification (13 February 2025)

Greetings in the Lord sisters!

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:15

Yes let us who are alive from the dead not live unto ourselves but unto Him who loved us and died for us and rose again victorious over death! It could not hold Him and this is our hope!

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 1:5-6

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Romans 6:8-12

Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
1 Timothy 5:6-7

There's something to be said about the blessing of not having much and trusting in God to provide. We don't want to be dead while we live.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luke 16:19-22

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
James 2:5

We surely don't want the world and what it offers to choke us that we become unfruitful.

And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Mark 4:18-19

I think it's also time for a picture catch up post so I'll see what I have from the last two weeks or so.

Been a few lots of pretty clouds here...

Usually something different in His creations to see!

(An eerie smokey morning one day.)

I stopped off for just a few minutes at this pretty place on my way to a cleaning job.

Good, pure, and peaceful creations the Lord made for His glory!

I sometimes get to listen to scripture while I work too like when it's an empty house...

Still going with a lot of pears and some big ones too!

Anything that produces well here is a blessing.

May we be fruitful 'trees' bearing good fruits for His glory!

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalm 1:1-3

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:4-8

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Luke 3:9
Yes we know the truth. So let us be fruitful in every good work and fruit of the Spirit!

So it is pear canning season. And usually there's the sense of autumn in the air when that is happening, just the very start!

Getting ready for more too when more are ripe...

Thankful for food blessings from the Lord. I guess we feel pretty secure being able to just go to the store and buy things but we never know when that could change. But whatever the Lord provides we don't want to waste what we can and sometimes we can't help it and that's ok too. We are limited and just do the best we can in all things.

Get to watch a constant stream of birds to drink and bathe in the water.

There must be so many around they keep coming and going! Peaceful little creatures.

I sun dried some thicker peaches and this time put them on baking paper with much better results.

I find it fascinating being able to preserve food for longer in various ways! I guess you're basically just stopping the process of things rotting! I'm also drying thicker pears as they are nicer I think but they take so long and the real hot weather has left here for at least a week. But I'm sure they'll still finish drying but slower. The 42 degrees yesterday helped them well on their way!

I guess this is why potatoes should be grown in the spring and not the summer. They're struggling on the real hot days. But they should make it now and then I guess it's possible frost may come at some point but there should be some potatoes forming already.

But I could put some shade cloth over the beans which seems to help.

The baby beans are kinda cute:)

Some tomato blessings from bushes that came up by themselves.

I love to use them in tomato chickpea salad...

(I posted a recipe to that here awhile ago.)

Passionfruit coming...

So many different fruits and vegetables He made!

Some super nasty thorns these are...

And we know why they are here on earth with us.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 3:17-19
And how our dear Saviour would have suffered with them...
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
John 19:2

He suffered silently, fulfilling the Father's will to save us from our sins. We owe Him so much! We can't ever pay, but turning to Him in obedience is pleasing to Him!

New little creature here...

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Genesis 1:24

A lot of hay needed for the cow as the dry summer wears on.

When you see the sun slipping below the horizon it makes you ponder time. It just so silently slips away and the day is over.

There's usually a lot in His creation that reminds us of spiritual truths and indeed Jesus used many in His teachings! Good to ponder on redeeming the time and being ready and such things. One day there will be no more sun. But the Lord shall be all the light we need and there will be no more heat either!

And the peaceful moon rising here which is the 'lesser light to rule the night'...

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Genesis 1:16

I would share my 'daily bread' with you.

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Luke 11:2-4

Despite Jesus' prayer having been abused by many today, it's still precious of course. We can pray He deliver us from evil too. There's so much evil in this world that we sure need it. And we want a heart to surrender to His will.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 17:15-17

Yes let us strive for all truth and reject that which is not of the Lord and His truth.

So that will do for my sharing here today and Lord willing I will be back at least for a little after a busy day tomorrow. Keep holding fast and being faithful in the duties in front of you sisters! Peace and love to you in His name.
