Today's Edification (26 November 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I'm back again here in hopes to edify you today in the Lord who is good!

Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Psalm 86:4-5

I often ponder how the standard we are to aim for is very high indeed! Think of such a holy, holy, holy God and how we have been called to follow Him. Think of all His great goodness and mercy and grace and love shown to us in Christ and all His blessings. Ponder on His longsuffering that He is showing the wicked world as He gives them space to repent of their sins. Indeed He died while we were yet sinners and was longsuffering with us sisters when we were yet in our sins which perhaps were mostly in ignorance but still sins and false ways nonetheless.

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:10-11

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:27

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Colossians 1:28

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:12-14

And we do not begin to think we can do it on our own! So let us cling to Him to help us be conformed into the image of His Son. We know it is not any of the 'alones' that people say like 'faith alone' but a great combination of many things that must be in place for us to enter the kingdom! Indeed it is a covenant between us and Christ. May we be faithful to Him as He is faithful! Much diligence is required sisters! Do we have enough of it?

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.
Hebrews 12:15
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2 Peter 1:10

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:23

May we do so sisters and I want to encourage you to press on with more zeal and love for Him as I want to as well! He is worthy! There is no doubt about that and the reward He gives His beloved children is unfathomable. It will be so worth it sisters.

Well I will go now and Lord willing be back again tomorrow after rest and another day of duties. Hold fast sisters and keep going in your good works not growing weary in any good thing! This glorifies Him!

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Ephesians 6:23-24
