Today's Edification (25 November 2024)

Greetings again sisters!

I'm dropping in again with some simple edifying from His Word which is a treasure to us! I've had such a busy day so will be brief I think but thankful to send out something good pure and true to encourage you to keep pressing on! Of course it is each and everyone of our duties to make sure that we strive on but it's also very true according to the Word that saints do and should encourage, lift up, refresh, help and all sorts of good things to each other! So I know coming here is not in vain and is in line with the scripture to do so. This is simple encouraging and edifying to my sisters in love!

I was pondering these scriptures on some of what godly love is and the depths it goes to...

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John 15:13-14

Our Saviour being our perfect example to follow!

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:16-18

We are to even lay our lives down for each other in the faith. And so many more ways to love each other in the truth. It's not just in physical things of course but also in spiritual as we hope every saint, precious souls for whom Christ died, stays strong and runs the race well to the end! And again we see love is actions and not just words and saying 'I love you'. How vain if it has little fruit or the opposite even. And I'm sure we can never stop growing in learning the depths of this godly love. 1 Corinthians 13 is also a good one to read to refresh in what it looks like!

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
1 Peter 3:8
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 1:22
So may we each do what we can, in our places as women, if we have saints in our lives! God must be glorified in the bearing of good fruit!

Keep pressing on my sisters! Lord willing I will be back tomorrow and it looks to be another extra busy day but I'll see what really happens! Don't grow weary in any of your daily duties either sisters! These are pleasing to the Lord and so has He ordained these duties for us women, His daughters and handmaidens! Grace, mercy, peace, and love to you in the faith!
