Today's Edification (6 November 2024)

Greetings sisters!

Here is another day to serve our Lord! Hopefully you're pressing on in His grace which is sufficient for us! That's always so encouraging if there's any trials in the day to press through! We just need to think on His great goodness to us which we didn't deserve...and that is encouraging and uplifting!

This is a good scripture for us...

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Romans 15:9-12

He has been so good and merciful and gracious to us! And I'm sharing the scriptures from the Old Testament which it mentions in that passage above. Just interesting seeing all that has been fulfilled.

Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
2 Samuel 22:50

Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
Deuteronomy 32:43

O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
Psalm 117:1

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Isaiah 11:1,10

I'm thankful to be able to be grafted in and to be part of His one sheep fold!

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
1 Peter 2:10

Surely it is of His tender mercies and grace we are saved! We are His work! And now we strive to follow after Him, working out our salvation with fear and trembling as the righteous will scarcely be saved and the way is narrow, the saints few, the adversaries many, and the flesh weak. But with His help we can be more than conquerors!

I was pondering this scripture...

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Romans 15:1-2

I'm pretty sure we each have strengths and weaknesses and also we can be strong at times and weak at other times and some may be stronger in the faith and some weaker in general. So in Christ's body we are to be helping one another when they are weak. Helping to build up and encourage and not tear down. There's so much hope in Christ as long as we keep striving through all things! We are still in our earthly bodies and in this world plagued with many trials and temptations. But we have the Lord as our help and strength and His Word to guide us through it all. May we not lose hope but keep fighting the good fight of faith!

Job had a good testimony of helping the weak and then he had his own time of need...

Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.

Job 4:3-5

More encouragement on the subject...

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Isaiah 35:3-4

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Acts 20:35

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Hebrews 12:12-13

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

1 Corinthians 8:9-13

The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
Isaiah 50:4

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
1 Thessalonians 5:14

Good words for us to heed and obey...whatever may apply in our situations!

I was pondering about fruits and it being how we know people by. It's true we humans do not know peoples hearts the way God does and who will be saved in the end and who won't be and obviously we can be mistaken in our assumptions or judgments but we can know who people are by their fruits. Jesus said we can.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew 7:15-20

We do want to bring forth good fruits don't we sisters as we remain in the Vine and the Father prunes us to be even more fruitful! That is awesome. So may we also know others by their fruits, good or bad, and we know these come from the heart.

Well I must go now. Keep remembering the hope in Christ and press hard after Him sisters! Finding the kingdom is like the man who found one pearl of great price and sold all he had to buy it! We see a glimpse of how precious it is but I don't think our minds can fully comprehend all God has done and has laid up for us if we endure. So let us continue to endure patiently! Love to you in His holy name.

Greetings sister saints!

Another day to bear much fruit for His glory! And to labour diligently in the duties set before us! I hope you're doing well and pressing on along the narrow road.

I'm sharing some scriptures on the Lord being our refuge! Hope those edify and comfort you.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Psalm 62:7-8

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalm 91:2

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
Psalm 94:22

I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
Psalm 142:5

In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
Proverbs 14:26

May we truly find our refuge in Him...and not look to the things in this world for that. May we be thankful for all the blessings in our lives that make life easier. We don't desevere so much but we can give Him the glory and use all we have for good! All we have is His and He can take and give at any time! Blessed be His holy name!

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Psalm 103:1-14

That's a good uplifting psalm! Our God is good! And we are blessed to have His written Word and to know Him and be known of Him!

But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
1 Corinthians 8:3

Keep holding fast to the truth sisters! May our great God be magnified!

Saluting my sisters in the Lord!

This day is another one to live for His glory! I hope you're pressing on where you are! God sees all His children and that is a comfort and we keep pressing on after Him by faith. We surely are absent from Him. But one day we will see Him face to face if we endure! That will be precious but let us while we are absent strive to walk worthy of Him.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

2 Corinthians 5:6-9

Awhile back a sister shared this scripture...

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

2 Timothy 1:6-8

And it's good to think deeper about what it is saying and how Paul is admonishing young Timothy to stir up the gift of God in him...as God hasn't given us the spirit of fear. There is much in this world we could fear and also we know Paul told him not to let anyone despise his youth. And yeah some even stretch that scripture to say we shouldn't fear God but I'm thankful that I got a deeper understanding of the context to understand it better! We know God is the one giving His children different gifts and so we each only need to be concerned about the ones we do have and not try to work in ones others have as that will never work!

These things command and teach.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

1 Timothy 4:11-15

That's encouraging to ponder on too!

It does remind me though how a woman was telling me awhile ago how God gave people different talents and so it proves there's a God, for example worldly musicians and sports players etc. But clearly He is not the one helping people to sin. He made humans amazing to be able to do a huge variety of things and of course this means man is capable of sinning but these talents are clearly not blessed by God. Man can make idols with his hands too and God is not giving him that talent to do so directly obviously. And many people get skilled at doing bad things so just because people can do something well doesn't mean it's good and from God! But let us sisters use our abilities as humans and the gifts He has given for good!

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.
1 Thessalonians 4:11

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Ephesians 4:28

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:23

Peaceful end to my day. His creations doing what He ordained for them from the beginning.

Well that is all from me for today. I'm keeping occupied here and thankful to be able to be sewing as well! Just a lot of general woman's works.

Keep pressing forwards my sisters! We are not ignorant of the deceptions and adversary and so we must keep on guard.

Love to you all in the faith. Be of good courage and continue to endure as good soldiers!

Today's Edification (3 November 2024)

Hello again sister saints!

Hopefully you're striving on faithfully wherever the Lord called you!

Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.

For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

1 Corinthians 7:20-24

We are free in Christ whatever life we are in! May we always obey and love Him first. We are also His servants...may we be faithful ones!

Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
Ephesians 6:6

It is clear that we must follow after righteousness as well as having righteousness through Christ's blood and cleansing. Let us be encouraged in this truth from the word!

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1 Timothy 6:11

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
2 Timothy 3:16

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
Titus 2:12

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Hebrews 11:4

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Hebrews 12:11

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 3:18

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
1 Corinthians 15:34

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:11

His Word is good and we must cling to it in this deceived world! I hope those edified and strengthened you in the truth!

Keep walking in the truth and light sisters! Christ is our only hope...follow Him!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

Today's Edification (2 November 2024)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:2

I hope you're holding fast today! God Himself is our portion, our hope, our peace, our joy and all good things. So if we look to Him and focus on Him the things around us can diminish in importance or if it's a trial it can seem not so hard. Just have to keep our mind rightly directed don't we sisters!

Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.

I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

Psalm 119:57-60

There are so many circumstances to teach us patience! I'm sure you have those too! The Word says a lot about it so it is something we with our human nature need to master as His children! And no doubt this pleases Him!

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Romans 12:12
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
Romans 2:7

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Luke 8:15

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:36

Let us continue in practicing patience as the lessons come along!

I was pondering how it is no new thing to be vexed by the lost world. The word says Lot was vexed as he lived in Sodom. I'm sure Noah was also when he lived in a generation filled with violence and where man's thoughts were only evil continually. You think of all the prophets sent to rebellious and stiffnecked Israel. I think of our Saviour too the holy God Himself coming into this vile world and living and walking among us humans. We know He was troubled and grieved at times as is written.

So it is no new thing for saints to be grieved by what the lost world does. It can be encouraging knowing all the saints have gone through the same really in varying degrees as man has always been wicked since the first sin. But we just shouldn't be surprised by what they do. And we just press on in the midst of it all and yes avoiding situations that we can but any time we can't, the Lord helps us endure! You learn about His longsuffering for sure!

One thing it can make you be is thankful that God was gracious and merciful that we could see the truth and His better ways. We can't change the world if they won't listen to the gospel. But we must go on ourselves and are responsible for ourselves.

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:12

I had travel to the children's today.

So I'm just finishing up some pics from the other place as I will have different kinds of work.

Been busy sewing for a sister too (and still going) and that is a blessing to be able to do so!

And I got blessed with two sewing orders this morning and have another headcovering one on order waiting for fabric to arrive so I'm thankful to have some busier times in my store and then there can be quiet ones.

Was busy in the garden...

Netting fruiting trees and planted pumpkins...

And the zucchinis are up...

Hopes of a lot of good fruit from them. But a lot of water is needed this time of year. And there's always things that could go wrong but they sure are known for being super productive and it's so amazing how fast the zucchini fruit can grow.

Would share buckwheat soup...

Good to use up those tiny potatoes which cannot be peeled...

We don't want to waste what the Lord has provided!

Keep striving on sisters! Lord willing I will be back here tomorrow. I'm sure I will be busy catching up on housework here and just on going things and I did bring my sewing things with so that will fill any cracks of time I have! Keep labouring in your good works wherever you are! Love to you.

Today's Edification (1 November 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are pressing on in the faith wherever you are! God sees us all! And we may have tests of our faith to go through at any time. May we lean on Him and seek His truth to walk in and be corrected with. There are always going to be things that are vexing on this earth as it is a wicked generation. But we must keep being salt and light sisters!

Sharing a few scriptures on zeal and we want to have it for the right things! So many in this world are zealous for the wrong things aren't they...the things of this world. But may we be for the Lord and His truth!

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:

And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel

Numbers 25:10-13

For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
Isaiah 59:17

But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
Galatians 4:18

For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
Colossians 4:13

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Revelation 3:19

May we keep pressing forwards with zeal for the Lord, sisters!

I was studying this scripture and then a sister shared it too so it's good to look into. It's refreshing actually as it's contrary to much of the thinking of our time that thinks grace covers sins.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Titus 2:14

May we live by all of His Word!

Well Lord willing I will be back sharing here tomorrow. Keep striving on sisters. Our Lord is worthy and it will be worth it all! Love to you in the faith.
