Today's Edification (7 October 2024)

Greetings my sisters whom I love in the faith!

One more day is here to serve the Lord and press on!

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psalm 2:11-12

I've had a busy day helping here, so I'm dropping in briefly:) There's all kinds of good works to be done and some more urgent than others but I'm still glad to come here because I can and it is important...the things of the Lord and the love of the brethren! Lord willing I can continue every day! But still our every day works are for His glory and pleasing to Him if we do them well and with the right motive and all that! God commanded women to do the keeping of the home and some will have children and some not and still there's many physical things to do that are good pure and true no matter what calling we have and these are necessary for life like food and raiment.

While Jesus told us to pray in private, it is clear from the Word that we should pray for other saints so I share some scriptures on that to edify and encourage us sisters in it!

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
2 Thessalonians 1:11

Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Ephesians 1:16-17

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
Philippians 1:9

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Ephesians 6:18-19

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Colossians 4:12

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:9-10

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16

We see commands and examples in there don't we. And I like seeing what Paul prayed for the saints for. It's not physical well being and a good life here is it, but growth in the Lord and such like! May we do so too and strive to grow in Him!

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:18

Amen! Strive on sisters and may our great God be magnified!

Love & peace to you,

Sister Chayil
