Today's Edification (31 August 2024)

Hello again sisters!

Another day the Lord gave us to keep doing our good works. I hope you're pressing on wherever you are on this amazing yet troubled earth.

The end of a season is here and the next one is beginning.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22

And life just keeps going in one direction and we can't get a second of it back! Best we make sure we are doing our best in each moment with His help, as once done many things cannot be undone.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15-16

While we cannot go back on anything not right that we have done, praise God there is redemption and forgiveness with Him and also thankfully by walking in His ways there can be restoration and forgiveness and reconciliation among people especially in saints. He is indeed a God of hope!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

This is a good scripture to remind us that everything is the Lord's...

Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Psalm 50:7-15

Good to ponder and that He owns us too and we submit to Him!

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
Romans 14:8
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:20

I was pondering how people try to fit Jesus into their lives somewhere in a little gap. It seems like it at least. But we know He must be Lord, Master, God, first with no other gods besides Him.

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luke 16:13

Then I was thinking how sometimes the words of a hymn I used to know may come to mind and it's like 'no that's not right, that's heresy' and so it's just like you know you can count on the Word alone to be the pure truth! Let us live by the Word and not man's words sisters! Test all things and put away that which isn't true!

O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
Psalm 119:97-98

I'm having some busier days doing some deeper cleaning here and pressing through a sickness but still glad to come here to share whatever I can in the Lord! I hope you keep pressing on in whatever the Lord has for you! Lord willing I will be back tomorrow! Hold fast until He comes!

My love be with you all,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (30 August 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are strong in the Lord and the power of His might, pleasing Him!

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 1:12-14

That's something to ponder for sure. We have the Spirit as a down-payment until the redemption of the purchased possession! We don't have it yet...let us strive to attain and fulfill all our part of this covenant.

Just sharing a few pictures from my days too.

It's been really windy spring weather but the leaves and flowers are popping out more.

I thought you might like to hear the Laughing Kookaburras out my room window one evening...

Funny sounding birds for sure and there's so much variety God put into His creation!

And just some pics of Titus 2 and the Lord's provisions as well.

(Sweet potato herb muffins)

(leftover oatmeal pancakes)

(potatoes with fried fish)

(roast beef and veggies with gravy)

God is good to provide food for mankind. And not just one or a few types but great variety too!

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1 Timothy 6:8

That we sure have!

Little nine month old dishes 'helper'...

Really just keeping him with me so I can wash dishes and he doesn't get into things elsewhere or fuss at my feet to come up:) But he loves it:) Precious little ones. I get plenty of hugs and smiles and chats with him while I'm looking after him. Good and pure things in such a world as this.

Heading off to the post office with my two sewing orders the other day...

Just an eight minute or less drive so that's convenient. Funny how my sewing shop can go from really quiet for a long time to busier. I got those two largish orders on consecutive days and then I have two skirts I need to custom sew for someone when I get back to my sewing machines...Lord willing at the end of next week. All good things are a blessing from the Lord. I'm thankful to be able to sew for others.

I always find this scripture interesting and good to remember when we think of all the wars and death in the Old Testament at times. God doesn't do anything without a good reason of course and we humans also shouldn't question anything He does as what do we know compared to Him? He is the Creator and we the created.
Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.

Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
Deuteronomy 9:3-7
And it makes you see the mercy and longsuffering of God on the world now for a time because the world is indeed exceedingly wicked. And we know He had a special people Israel through whom our Saviour came, who the whole world has been blessed by, as whosoever will can come to Him!

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17

I sent this scripture to a sister so I share it here too. Just another glimpse of our great God!

Yeah let's take heed from all the examples we have and be wiser thanks to God telling us it all!

Well I think that's all from me today. Let us keep labouring to be accepted of the Lord. Strive on sisters!

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
2 Corinthians 5:9

For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Romans 14:18

Much love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (29 August 2024)

Greetings sister saints!

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 27:14

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
Psalm 31:24

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Deuteronomy 31:6

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:7

Good scriptures to encourage us to keep pressing on in the faith and not growing weary in any good works that we should be doing! And today we have the law of Christ and liberty to live by and we know we have obedience to observe to do today based on our faith in Him!

I hope you're all striving on stedfast through anything this life has in it for us as humans in general and as His saints!

I'm going about my daily works here too...each day is unique but also we have very many repetitive duties! But aren't you glad the sun comes up each day and goes down for our rest? I am. Aren't you glad our hearts keep beating and we keep breathing? I am so let us be encouraged to keep doing our duties over and over again!

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
2 Timothy 3:14

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Romans 11:22

Let us continue in all good things!

I'm having some busier days here but that's good too and I always have time to come share some of His eternal Word with my sisters! Maybe I know you or maybe I don't and God has His children all around the world who will all be together one day! It's a blessing to get to at least do what I can to help cheer you on to keep running the race and striving to obtain that incorruptible crown! Let us sisters stand for the truth right where we are and shine our lights wherever the Lord allows us to reach! Let us cleave to the Lord for He is our life, sisters!

Press on my sisters press on! Let us hunger and thirst after righteousness and diligently seek out His truth to live by and walk in and believe. Nothing else on this earth outside of the truth is worth it. Let us follow after Him hard...nothing hindering us.

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Salutations to my sisters!

I hope you are striving on in the truth! And hopefully all your works are going well and prospering whatever they are...all good works unto the Lord! There's so much in His Word about our works...that they are good and pleasing to our holy God!

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Ephesians 5:2
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

I'm thankful that Christ loved us and gave Himself for us. What a sacrifice. Let us love Him who first loved us and follow after Him with thankful humble hearts!

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:14

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Ephesians 3:6

We are blessed in Him for His grace and mercy and that the middle wall was broken down!

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:13-22

This is a cause for exceeding great joy! Let us not forget all we have in Christ...the mystery kept secret from the foundation of the world!

All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
Matthew 13:34-35

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Romans 16:25-27

Amen, to Him be all the glory!

Let us follow our Father's example...

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Luke 6:35-36

He is kind and merciful to the wicked. May we be also but we know judgement is coming from Him not us. It is a high calling we have to follow.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:44-45

Let us strive to be perfect as He is perfect. We can never stop growing up in Him!

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:15

Hold fast my sisters and let us keep being godly women going about our serving duties and ready to help others in the truth too if God gives us those opportunities!

Much love in His name,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (27 August 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I'm back yet again! The Lord allowed me to as without Him truly we are nothing and can do nothing physically as well as spiritually. I hope and trust you're standing stedfast and unmoveable in the Lord and His truth and light!

The joy of the saints! The Lord is our joy!

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Proverbs 17:22

That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
Romans 15:32

Rejoice evermore.
1 Thessalonians 5:16

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
James 1:2

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
Proverbs 15:13

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Romans 14:17

And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 13:52

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
John 15:11

The joy of the Lord is our strength! No matter what, He is faithful and is outside of the troubles of this life and greater than them all. Let us look to Him for our joy and not things on this earth. Oh yes there is a time for sorrow and even permanent soberness and grief at the state of the world and indeed we are commanded to weep (with those that weep) so we can have both, yes even at the same time! But in Christ our joy is full!

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1 Peter 1:7-8

That's a great scripture! Truly our faith in our Saviour who is unseen causes great joy and love for Him!

One of the perils of these last times is satan making things look like the complete truth while sneaking in things that are not true. We have to be careful we do know!

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

We should be cautious of everything, testing, proving all things. The Lord help us. It just teaches us to trust in God alone and read His Word for our spiritual food! We first should judge what we say and do and also what others say and do like you should judge whether what I say here on my blog is the truth or not! I certainly hope to speak all the truth but I am human and I know there's things I don't know or understand perfectly and am growing still as we always will be! Only God knows everything perfectly but we do search His Word and have the Spirit of truth to guide us thankfully.

I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
1 Corinthians 10:15

I was reading this scripture and pondering on it...

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Matthew 26:41-42

And I was thinking how I don't really like the term 'lot in life' myself as it seems to have a negative connotation or be half complaining. Whatever the Lord wills for us, the cup He gives us, let us accept and drink willingly and as Christ showed us a perfect example He submitted and went through no matter how hard it was.

Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
John 18:11
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
 Matthew 26:52-53

We know Jesus told the disciples to get swords and we know Jesus could call for angels to deliver Him, so we know they were capable of fighting against what was happening and delivering themselves plus miraculous deliverance from the Father if He willed, but we know Jesus said this too...

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
John 18:36

It's all a powerful witness of submitting to the Father's will and of His true kingdom which is of peace! Reminds me too how Jesus knew the truth and was capable of 'saying it all' against His accusers...but He opened not His mouth. It's just very interesting to ponder and not man's ways. Indeed He was as a sheep for the slaughter and we are as sheep too and follow our good Shepherd. And as a side note sheep are gentle creatures and indeed we were told Christ was gentle and we have been commanded to be too! I guess I'm just sharing some thoughts that are coming to me and hope they edify you too.

Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
2 Corinthians 10:1
To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 3:2
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 3:17-18

God's ways are amazing and so high above man's. Let is keep searching them out to walk in!

And back to what I started out saying, whatever we have as our life, if it's not sinful, is our best life the Lord gave us! His will be done! The human flesh has a tendency to want something different and more and it's ok and good to take any requests we have to the Lord as Jesus did, but let us be faithful, thankful, and content in His will and in what we do have! So press on with joy and cheerfulness my sisters. Let us please our Lord and bring our flesh into subjection to His commands and will. Look to our Saviour as our perfect and wonderful example to follow! Because of His obedience we can find eternal life through His blood and resurrection! Glory to God and I'm thankful to Jesus for what He did!

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15

Indeed what a gift God gave the world in sending us a Deliverer from our sins! Let us abide in Him, bearing much good fruit for His glory!

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
2 Corinthians 13:11

Much love to you all,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (26 August 2024)

Greetings to my sisters in the faith!

Yet another day is here. They just keep coming and going don't they, quietly slipping by one after the other. We are hurtling towards eternity...are we ready? Are you ready? Am I ready? Do we take the faith seriously enough? May our zeal be renewed to keep pressing on when we stop and ponder the reality of this life and eternity. Many souls are entering eternity each day. They say around 150,000 souls a day die worldwide (but that's obviously not counting the 200,000 or so lives of the unborn that are murdered each day, so sad and wicked.). We know few people who are capable of choice find the narrow road, so sadly most have chosen the broad road leading to death and God is the just Judge. It's all very sobering really. But makes you even more thankful to know the truth and the way and the life...Jesus Christ! But even many will say they knew Him but will be sent away on that great day as sinners. We cannot be sinners, continuing in wilful disobedience, and expect to enter. Sure we may fail but so many take sin so lightly and do not count it as deadly and repent asap. So let us strive on fervently sisters and cleave to the Lord with purpose of heart.

Sharing a psalm that we know is about our Saviour!

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

Psalm 110:1-7

I was reading in Malachi and it's quite an interesting book with much about our Saviour but this stood out as something we may also hear people say today...

Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
Malachi 2:17

And reminds me of this too...

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20

Nothing new under the sun is there.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1

That's something I ponder how not only are we to lay aside sins but also weights. And I think how there may be things in our life or that we do that could be weights and hindrances. And if we remove these even if it means we have less things to 'do' we can fill that with extra time in the Word and prayer and examining our lives or refreshing in His creation or refocusing or something. Whatever good things we are capable of in the life God has given us. We can think we have to be 'doing something' all the time and a lot of the time we will and should be but quiet time can be good too as we can clearly see the distractions that satan has set up in the world and we don't want to be like that.

We know we are His witnesses. And while doing active evangelism in the gospel may seem like the greatest way to be His witnesses, our every day life is very important. Whether we have just a few people in our lives or who we may interact with or many (or even close to none), obviously people observe us. And perhaps the most obvious witness to our faith may be our biblical clothing but also our body language and tone of voice also and obviously what we do and don't do, what we say and what we don't say. So it's good to remember all this and I know we know it but every second we are His witnesses. And we can't either let down our guard for example at 'home' as we still are His witnesses in how we relate to anyone in the home of course. We are never off duty in the faith and we can never relax in that we don't have to keep on guard at all times. We don't want to even just 'go through the motions' doing our every day duties because we should do them heartily as unto the Lord and with thanksgiving and contentment! We are truly rich in Christ! And most importantly let us please our Lord as He sees no matter if any humans do.

Much fervent love to my sisters. I really hope we all press on to the very end. I am here to encourage you to do that! We see in the Word saints helping each other so it is God's design if possible. Reach out if you want encouragement and are following Christ in truth no matter the cost or want to!

May our great God be magnified!

Peace to you,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (25 August 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I'm hoping you're all strong and stedfast in the faith today! Let us pray for the saints to endure to the end. We know they're all out there where the Lord has them enduring much the same trials as us all. Humans are all very much the same but we do have different lives too...whatever the Lord has for us! And we have the same great Father who helps us overcome the adversary and all things.

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1 Peter 5:9
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:18
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16

Our brother Paul gave us a good example of praying for the saints...

We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Colossians 1:3, 9

Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
Ephesians 1:16

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
Philippians 1:4

I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
Philemon 1:4

I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
2 Timothy 1:3

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
2 Thessalonians 1:11

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
1 Thessalonians 1:2

He is a good model for us to imitate.

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

1 Corinthians 11:1-2

I love this scripture...

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Jeremiah 17:13-14

I sometimes pondering all the titles and descriptions of the Lord our God. He is the hope of Israel! He surely is our hope too and indeed we are spiritual children of Abraham by promise.

I was pondering how amazing it will be to actually see the Lord and be in His presence one day. Now we walk by faith not sight and He has spoken to us through His Son whom we are to hear and has gone to prepare a place for us. We know we are absent from the Lord while on this earth although His Spirit is with us and He is not far from any of us, as in Him we live and move and have our being. But heaven is different and we see glimpses of it in Revelation with the throne and those around it worshipping Him who is worthy!

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

2 Corinthians 5:6-11

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 John 3:2

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 7:9-12

This is what we are living and preparing for! Others may think we are crazy spending our whole life on something we cannot see and denying the fleshly earthly 'pleasures'...but that is faith! And indeed it is like we are waiting for the bridegroom and we don't be spiritual adulteresses with the world while we wait. We are God's enemies if we do that. We do not love this world or this life. We are set apart for Him. We are not our own but bought with a price. Let us keep watching and waiting and ready for our great God and the pure home He is preparing for those found worthy!

Let us keep looking for that new heaven and earth where righteousness dwells! Strive on sisters! Look up! Our redemption draws nearer!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (24 August 2024)

Salutations to my godly sisters!

I'm back again in godly love in hopes to encourage and edify you on this new day!

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
Romans 15:2

I don't think, or rather I know for a fact, that we won't stop learning the depths of God's ways as we walk this faith life and grow and mature. He is so great and His ways so good and we are nothing and so mortal and fallen that we will always have growing to do. Thing is though that we don't want to stop or go backwards do we! March on sister soldiers!

I got to sit outside some today and it was beautiful and refreshing and I shared a bit with you, my sisters!

Sometimes life can be really busy and other times have some moments of peace...for me at least and there always are times and seasons and none of our lives stay the same the whole way through!

Well, one fact is certain we came into the world with nothing and we leave with nothing.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1 Timothy 6:7

As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
Ecclesiastes 5:15

We sure don't want to strive to 'gain the whole world' and lose our soul! That's foolishness.
But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Luke 12:20

That's a little side trail I guess so back to what I was saying about times and seasons. We may want to 'do' a lot of good things but then there's times we just have to 'be' His daughters. And it's all good things whatever He has for us! We can be very pleasing to the Lord 'just sitting' for years in a prison because of our faith! Let's just be faithful in what the Lord has for us!

I was sitting under an olive tree and those trees usually remind me of the Word as there seems to be a lot of those trees in the lands of the scriptures.

I saw these scriptures when I was looking it up and just share for interest's sake.

Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Zechariah 4:11-14

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Revelation 11:3-4

And then this one is a well known one!

And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Romans 11:17-22

Praise God we can be graffed in but let us also be careful lest we be cut off.

A thunderstorm went by last night and so I sped up this video.

I was trying to catch some lightning but didn't but I thought the clouds moving away was nice too!

The days keep coming and going with many changes in them in His creations.

May we too consistently do that which God created us to! May we not grow weary in well doing sisters!

Always interesting things in His creations to see like this lichen...

It's interesting if you look real close.

And rain or dew drop sparkles...

Sometimes I am minding the nine month old outside and I tell him about the birdies and the wind blowing the trees and the chickens and the sunshine and he looks around fascinated at everything. Precious:-)

Was such a blue beautiful day today and good day for drying laundry...

I'd share some cheese and ham muffins if I could...

Getting some skirts ready for shipping out from my 'mobile sewing store'...

The buds of the fruit tree about to burst felt like marshmallows or strawberries and cream or something:-) Beautiful creations!

Just sharing a few pictures from my last few days I guess! I'm keeping going in a reasonable amount of Titus 2 works. I'm sure you all have those to do in varying amounts! And striving on for the Lord by His grace and mercy. I hope you all are too!

Let us be valiant for the truth! There's so many who talk about the truth, claim to have the truth, all the forty or so thousand denominations in Christ's name all claim to have the truth, other religions claim to have it but there's only one pure truth! Let us seek the truth no matter the cost sisters and actually love truth and hate that which is contrary to it. When you strive after the truth you must therefore change to conform to it and reject that which is contrary to it. Our Saviour came into the world to bear witness to the truth. Let us follow after Him in His ways!

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
John 3:21

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Ephesians 4:21

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:17

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

Godly love...

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1 Corinthians 13:6

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Ephesians 4:25

Let us sisters truly love all truth!

Sharing some scriptures on being humble and let us keep walking in it and truly His ways are good and peaceful.

A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
Proverbs 29:23

LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
Psalm 10:17

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Proverbs 16:19

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isaiah 57:15

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:4

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1 Peter 5:6

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:6

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Colossians 3:12

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8

Praise God for showing us what is good! Let us go and do it!

That's what I have for today and if the Lord permit I shall be back tomorrow. Keep soldiering on in the faith wherever the Lord has you ministering. We all have a ministry and we are all servants! Christ's servants and serving others. Keep serving sisters!

Grace, mercy, and peace,

Sister Chayil
