Salutations to my faithful sisters in Christ!
I trust you're pressing on today! We've got to keep doing that don't we as we know there's so many things that can take us out of the way or that cause us to lose a little zeal or to grow a little weary or something. We have been told it's a spiritual battle. We have been told there is an adversary walking around like a roaring lion seeking to devour and who may manifest as an angel of light. We have been told to take heed and beware and to fight and to not grow weary and to overcome and endure to the end! This world is full of distractions and cares and we do even have to be careful as we just do life from day to day not to get complacent. We got told about an armour we are to not just believe in but...to put on! It's actions we have to take.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.Ephesians 6:11-13
And those spiritual pieces of the armour are...
Righteousness
Good news of peace
Faith
Salvation
The Word of God
Let us keep being strong sister soldiers...warriors in the Lord's army! We have to be to make it through...with His help!
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.2 Timothy 2:3-4
Let us not be entangled in that which we do not need to be involved with in this life. Yes we need to eat and have clothing and work and such like but there's so many things that are snares, bondage, and distractions, and not necessary and can entangle us down here. Let us be about our Father's business as well as doing all those physical things we must do which are pleasing to Him.
Wherever the Lord has us, it's always a place where we can grow! Even in the everyday life things we need to do, we can do them with more thankfulness, more contentment, more joy, and more patience! It's a blessing to have opportunities to stand strong for the Lord also! There are easy things in life and hard things that we just don't want to face but we must! But we are not alone as the Father is with us! That's such a precious promise and comfort and hope!
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.John 16:32
Let us hold on to Him through all things sisters! He told us to cast our burdens upon Him for He cares! That's amazing. Let us not doubt this! God is not like man. They may fail or forsake us or forget or do evil or whatever but the Lord does not forsake His faithful children! Oh yes if we forsake Him He withdraws but still all humans live through His power even if they don't believe in Him. Anyone who repents and calls upon Him with a humble heart...He will hear and draw near to! Let us stay close to Him, our good Shepherd!
Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.Proverbs 4:14-15
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.Psalm 1:1-2
We are to avoid evil and corrupt company etc. Even though we are to love all people, be at peace, and serve others, it doesn't mean we will be close to them. We know the term 'friend of sinners' for Jesus was a slander just as to call Him a glutton and a drunk was as well. We know He was separate from sinners yet of course He came to seek and save the lost. He was not close with the Pharisees was He. He was close with the meek and lowly and those who knew they were sinners but needed a Saviour and wanted to follow Him. He said a lot of things against the Pharisees we know.
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Hebrews 7:26
If people don't want the truth...they don't want it and we just can't be very close as there's very little common ground. And so they live their life and we sisters have to live ours. Doesn't mean we don't care but we do have to remember the truth though that if they remain unrepentant they are God's enemies as disobedient to Him and this scripture does help me remember the truth.
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.1 Corinthians 16:22
It's very serious not to love Jesus...which is to obey Him.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?Hebrews 10:28-29
If someone is taking His Words lightly or making excuses or saying we don't need to obey Him today...well I don't want to be them for it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Let us all examine our hearts and be renewed in fervour to obey Him.
I read Psalm 103 just because I can and it's good!
May our great God be magnified!
