Salutations to my sisters in Christ!
I hope you're all doing well and striving on after Him! That's most important! Let's be wise and live for God and eternity and not what our temporary flesh wants!
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 16:26-27
Here's another catching up post with any pictures and things and thoughts that may come from them to edify or whatever!
Interesting mushroom creations that looked like pancakes...
They'll be returning to dust and I'm sure the worms will help in that! I'm glad things rot down in this world...or otherwise we'd have a horrible mess on our hands wouldn't we! So very many things have to work together to allow this huge amazing detailed intricate varied creation to work! Glory to the Creator! There's not a chance it all made itself from nothing! None.
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.Genesis 3:19
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.Ecclesiastes 12:7
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.2 Corinthians 5:10
We sisters in Christ have way too many blessings to ever be complaining about anything amen?! Thankful and content is how we want to be even if our flesh doesn't want to be sometimes.
In a snap lock bag. But I'm sure there are other ways too. Looks like we're about half way through the big pumpkin stack already. Some went bad but we are going through them nicely too!
And it was kind of strange for me to see that as I guess some people don't think much of lying at all. Sad but God teaches us otherwise and His ways are all about what? Truth!
And this world sure is loaded with sins and God is so longsuffering but it doesn't mean at all that He approves of any of it just because He doesn't kill people on the spot.
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:
But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.
Ecclesiastes 8:11-13
Let us be wise and remember His mercy and longsuffering but yet never let it be a cause for any of us to continue in sin and not repent quickly. We do not want to tempt God as we remember He does still kill people over sin. Well He did in Acts and 1 Corinthians 11 and of course all through the Old Testament. I really appreciate the truth of 1 Corinthians 10 where it gives us ample warning for today from what happened to many in the OT. We see He is still the same God. May we fear Him.
I was listening to Ezekiel and there's many things to ponder. We know God sees all the evil at once on the earth but here God was showing Ezekiel, the son of man, some of what they did and they thought God didn't see them. I just thought it was interesting. And also the way God talks to His people too (Ezekiel in this case).
Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.
And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.
Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.
Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Ezekiel 8:5-18
Oh the longsuffering of God! He is God and all sin is against Him. How much more should we be long suffering with our fellow man? Let us not add to His longsuffering but instead do that which is pleasing to Him. I guess you can see how much joy His children could bring Him after seeing all those who reject Him and sin against Him. Oh yes He still is longsuffering with us when we fail and we're not perfect compared to Him, but He sees our hearts trying and doing our best and chastens us because He loves us. Let us yield to Him knowing we will be more pleasing to Him following any of His corrections and trials He allows to refine us.
Keep pressing on in all good things my sisters! Hold fast till He comes! Lord willing I will be back tomorrow (after travel too) but we never do know what a day may bring forth. May we surrender to His will and mortify the flesh and keep trusting in Him and waiting on Him.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Psalm 37:5-11
The Lord be magnified!
Love to you all,
