Today's Edification (7 April 2024)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

I trust you're standing strong in Him! Pressing on in the faith and keeping occupied in your duties!

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 55:22

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:6

Awesome scriptures to help us trust in Him and take all our burdens or anxieties to Him! He is so good that He even cares about them.

Proverbs readings for you here...

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
Titus 2:4

I was studying what that word love in there means how older women are to teach the younger women to love both their husbands and children.

And it literally means to be fond and friendly with them.

So that's your command from the Lord, any sisters in such a case!

And I will include the rest of the scripture here as it says so God's word isn't blasphemed. Pretty serious matters.

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:5

Some more scripture for you mothers to encourage you to keep going well in your duties! That is your calling and a very important one to focus on to do right and your best in!

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
1 Timothy 5:14

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
1 Timothy 2:15

Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
1 Timothy 5:9-10

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Ephesians 6:1-3

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
1 Thessalonians 2:7

And as a related note we are also to have this friendly fondness to family in the Lord.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:10

Meaning of kindly affectioned here...

Meaning of brotherly love here...

So from wives to mothers to brothers and sisters in the Lord, we see how God wants us to be, amen sisters. I'm thankful for His Word and that we can't be deceived by man from it! It says what it says! It is the truth and we want to walk in ALL truth amen sisters.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:4

And this is one of the sins listed as being in the last times...'without natural affection'...

We do not want to treat other sisters that way do we. Or any in the family of Christ. Or the two areas I shared about above from Titus 2 for those sisters with husbands and children. You do not want to be without natural affection for either. Yeah I am taking some liberty to share a bit deeper cuz it's areas women can teach other women in. Let us ponder how the Lord wants us to be as His witnesses on this earth. We women may not have the calling of the men to be leaders in general and teachers of the gospel and the body and such but we do have many great duties which should not be thought of as mundane or anything as they are what the Lord Himself gave us. You can even think of the Lord creating woman in the first place...it was to be a helper. We should not want to rebel and go outside of this.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Hebrews 6:1-2

Pondering that scripture too and how we leave the principles and go on to perfection.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 5:14

We are aiming to grow and keep discerning aren't we sisters and becoming more mature and complete (perfect). We know we will never fully attain as God's ways are so deep and high and we are so limited in this flesh but He grows and refines us over time and through trials right sisters?! Let us also be patient with what He is doing in us.

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Ephesians 4:13-14

I had to go on some errands. This was a super quick peek at the ocean in passing...

Beautiful creations of the sky and clouds and ocean and the sand or rock. We are blessed to know the Creator amen sisters?! Praise God for that!

You realize how foreign true faith is when you're out in the world and where basically no one is thinking about the Lord or getting ready for His return.

God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psalm 53:2-3

This life is all they know and we know the Saviour has 'gone into a far country' but is going to return.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
Matthew 25:13-14,19

I can't imagine what people will be thinking when He does return. Well we know they will want the rocks to hide them from the Lamb's wrath. But us His saints are longing for His return and looking for Him.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:13

Some gospel cards went out on my trip and I had safe travels once again back to my little home refuge. I have much time with the children coming up ahead but one day at a time and we do what's in front of us right sisters?!

I'm super thankful that we won't need to worry about the Lord misunderstanding us on judgement day or making false judgements! He knows all truth perfectly. We can rest in that sisters. When He opens the books and all are judged out of the things written therein...no we will not need to fear being misunderstood on that great day! That's comforting. Neither will there be the accusations of man against us written in His book...but the truth. But let us also be preparing and ready to stand before the Lord...washed in Christ's blood and having borne much good fruit/works because we abode in the Vine!

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
1 Peter 1:17

I can't stress enough how we must cling to the pure Word of truth. We have it in easy access so we have no excuse if we don't focus on it to know how to walk worthy of Him through this world. And yes I know there are deceivers using it too as satan himself did to Jesus, but let us remember all what is written. Yes the things written for the men are not always for us women either. Let us study our roles and do what we know for sure and clear as day what we are to do. We can trust the Lord will help us in the rest. Keep searching the scriptures daily sisters!

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

And that would really help if we threw away (and I trust all us sisters have) all the other things that are competing for people's time and attention in the Word...other books, music, sports, media, hobbies, false teachers, and even things like blogs from women who are not in all sound doctrine or getting swept away in things that could be good like learning how to garden or cook or sew. I love the simplicity in Christ and once we get rid of all these distractions and learn to cherish the Word even more we do well. A sister was sharing how she loves the pure Word even more now after seeing things that are not pure but are plain ugly. And I agreed with her also as I feel the same. Man may fail us but God never will. Let us keep faithful to Him. And it doesn't mean we just read the Word more cuz there are plenty of people doing that a lot but we need to actually live it out too in whatever applies to us don't we sisters.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:22

Hmm it says we deceive ourselves if we do that. That's an area I've been meaning to study. The Word speaks about self deception in other places and we sure don't want to be.

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
James 1:26

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Galatians 6:3

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
1 Corinthians 3:18

Good to ponder on and know it is possible to be self deceived.

These tomatoes grew like 'weeds' but they're not but great blessings whatever we can get and use...

(I'd let my sisters gather for your families if I could!)

Nice to get a pocketful on the way by...

And some more delicious passionfruit blessings...

And you can peek at what's in my other pocket:-)

That's their home in there...until needed I guess. No I don't get many opportunities but I guess I never know!

Super awesome flowering tree creations...

Glory to God the Creator! So amazing.

So many different kinds He made all over the world! Not only did He make so many varieties of plants and animals it's really hard to fathom how billions of people can all look different and unique! He is amazing to make that possible!

I'd serve these as a snack in my little home if you sisters were here and we would edify and encourage one another in the Lord!

This was the moon rising awhile back that I didn't share yet. So peaceful.

Well that's all from me for today. I hope it edified you and Lord willing I will be back tomorrow. Keep pressing on in the truth and light sisters! 📖🕯

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
John 3:21

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32

Love in Christ,
