Today's Edification (1 April 2024)

Salutations to my sisters who serve the Lord!

A new morning and day God gave to serve Him and remember His goodness!

God is good! God is light! He is the God of peace and hope and of all comfort! Aren't we so blessed in Him sisters?!
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2 Corinthians 1:3

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Romans 15:33

I'm so thankful to know the one true and living God!

Next Proverbs readings here...

Many good things in there to ponder. So much wisdom.

More subjects I have been pondering on is love, forgiveness, trust, and mercy that we are to have to one another as saints. I'm thankful first of all for God's forgiveness to me and for those who have true love who hide a multitude of sins (which have been repented of). The Lord forgets our sins when we repent and so I am thankful for those who also forgive and show true mercy for those who truly have repented and hate all sin that they ever do or anything done that hurt others. God's ways are so good and it is a joy when others walk in them. To truly have godly fellowship with one another their must be trust, humility, openness, repentance, mercy and love shown towards each other. This binds saints together when each side is humble and know they can and have failed and you know you can and have failed but everyone hates sins and loves the Lord and all truth so you can build trust as much as any human can trust one another. We only can fully trust the Lord but when we see the good fruit of others in humble repentance there is no reason to be suspicious of their every action following as this is no environment for trust and growth and true love. Just sharing some good things of God's holy ways that are really rare in these last days. I'm thankful to know a few saints like this (the ones in Canada). I am willing to forgive and receive with open arms anyone who repents of their sins. But on the other hand it is impossible to have this good situation I spoke about above when one side (or both) are not humble or repentant or merciful or forgiving or loving or whatever it may be that is lacking. But let us surrender to the Lord's good ways sisters and walk in them with joy and reap the benefits!

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8

He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.
Proverbs 17:9

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Luke 17:3-4

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:12-15

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
James 5:9

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
Proverbs 10:12

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:35

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Matthew 5:7

God's ways are good! He also is our perfect example as He too is loving, forgiving, merciful, gracious, compassionate, kind, and many other good things!

I was thinking...how long do we need to mourn over our past repented of sins? I do not believe it should drag on and on...lest we rob God of His glory for His cleansing and mercy. Heaven rejoices over repentant sinners...should we not also, for others and ourselves even...to give God the glory? How long do we need to allow satan to get to us over sins we never did? He is the accuser of the brethren...to be cast down one day. That one may seem like an easy answer...like never...but that can be a hard one to overcome as we wrestle with injustice. How long will we allow anyone or thing to rob us of light and peace and joy? I say rejoice as Jesus our precious Saviour told us to! Let's all ponder that sisters. I know the trials of this life can be hard and sometimes mental and spiritual trials can be harder than physical ones but let's keep looking up and knowing the Lord knows our hearts and the truth. The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory to come! Some things in this life will never have answers. We want something to change...like people to repent who have wronged us...but we must press on and not allow satan to steal anything from us. Let's remember God's grace is sufficient for us sisters! He is our portion! Over and over we are told to take pleasure in and rejoice in trials. Easier said than done sometimes but the faster we surrender to God no matter what, the easier it will be. Let's do that sisters! I cheer you on in all good things!

Yeah there's my garden enemy again...

Just like satan we have to watch out for. He was in the first garden too.

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3:1-5

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Luke 4:8

This is interesting too...

And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Numbers 21:6-9

And that being an archetype of Jesus.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:14-15

And this will happen one day!

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Revelation 12:9-10

Just a little edification from my garden snake enemy. There's always something in the Word to share from our every day lives isn't there.

And another lesson from nature. Here's a very small and young but super fruitful apple tree I picked today.

See how small it is yet I got a big bucket of big apples off it!

So you can probably imagine what lesson we can get. Someone may be young in the Lord or physically and yet produce a lot of good fruits for Him!

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers,
in word,
in conversation,
in charity,
in spirit,
in faith,
in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

We all have a high calling no matter our physical age or age in the Lord although of course it takes time to mature and learn discernment.

Our Lord Himself was young...
And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
Luke 3:23
(same age as me.)

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
2 Timothy 1:5

I love thinking about unfeigned faith (which young Timothy had and also his mother, and grandmother). That means there is such a thing as 'feigned faith' and we do see it all over actually. And the same thing it is as faith that is dead because it doesn't have works.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
James 2:26

So let us be fruitful in the Lord, young or old or in between! It is for His glory!

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:8

Good blessings the Lord provided too!

More tomato canning...

Starting to bring up the pumpkins bit by bit...

Trying to get them before the rats get too many. Many are still growing though. Not going to be able to push them all up the hill in a wheelbarrow! Incredible how many there are.

Wanted to can some apple sauce...

Yeah just leaving the peels on and blending it after and just canning it plain (finish that tomorrow Lord willing).

Looks pretty too.

Got three shirts cut out so ready to start sewing maybe tomorrow...

See what each day has in it and if we even get the day, right sisters? The Lord knows and we can trust Him.

Thankful to have a way to store up some food from what the Lord provides.

(I know all the picture of my day may seem mixed up but that's how it is...lots going on at the same time and filling in time while things cook or cool and such like. I'm sure you sisters know about such things.)

I would share garden veggie stew or soup or whatever it is with you...

Thankful for some cooler weather and a tiny bit of rain. Cozy. When you have so much garden produce to use up it's nice or rather essential to find a way to use up several different things in one dish. You don't want to be making separate things to use each veggie! This has in onion, leek, pumpkin, tomato, cabbage, potato, zucchini, garlic, and basil from the garden. I like stew and soups because you can basically throw anything together. Whatever it is...the Lord provides and I'm thankful for food and raiment and good works to occupy in.

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:9

Amen!

Strive on after our great God sisters! Lord willing I will edify you some more tomorrow.

Love to you all in the Lord,

Sister Chayil
