Today's Edification (5 March 2024)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Ephesians 1:2-3

I hope my sisters are doing well in Him!

I was looking up the Word accepted...and it goes along with what I shared the other day about being pleasing to God. We must be acceptable to Him! So much for unmerited, inelegible, unconditional that people speak of or believe even if they don't say it. Question to ask ourselves...are we acceptable to God? Are we doing that which is acceptable to Him as women, His daughters?

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
2 Corinthians 5:9

But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
1 Timothy 5:4

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Ephesians 5:8-10

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Hebrews 12:28

Let's keep labouring to be accepted of Him sisters...at all times. We don't want to be caught off guard at any time or living in unrepented sin.

I was also pondering how we need to be very careful when we make accusations.

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
Titus 2:3

Obviously what it says there for older women is for all believing women for the most part except perhaps for teaching. Well an older woman that just came to the Lord from a pagan wicked life shouldn't be teaching the younger obviously but we know what it means...those women mature in the faith who will generally be older ones for sure, yes. The older ones in the faith are to be the examples of what the younger ones are growing up to. Doesn't mean a young woman should be less of a godly example but there are things that only come with much time and experience in the Lord.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

And yes sometimes you have to learn things the hard way (and through hard trials etc) and if you've been through much of that then you're not likely to repeat the same things. So if you're in the process of learning various things the hard way, younger sisters...take courage that they will all build upon one another to produce much wisdom and experience if you stand strong and overcome in His power!

So back to the Titus 2 verse, it says not false accusers. And I was pondering how we need to be very careful before we make any accusation against someone. Some things are easy to see and know but others are harder to know. For example, we can't always know if someone is lying or not as we don't know their intent and motives and human limitations. So we have to make sure we are certain they are doing what we claim, as well as we don't want to make false judgements. We are to judge rightly.

Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
Acts 24:13

We sisters in Christ - who IS the truth - are all about truth and we always want to be truthful about everything to the best of our ability. I know for a fact that your conscience and the Spirit does not allow you to say the opposite of truth easily, but we still need to be careful as the command can be deeper than we think. We don't want to even think false accusations or false judgements do we. And we need to be super careful before we speak about others lest we be in sin ourselves.

Also we know in scripture that we are not to be busy bodies and gossips etc, speaking things that we ought not.

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
1 Timothy 5:13

This is a better picture of what we ought to be doing...

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1 Thessalonians 4:11

Sure we expect the world to falsely accuse and not understand us...

Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
1 Peter 3:16

We have Jesus as an example for us...

And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
Mark 15:3

And if we are falsely accused we can rejoice that God knows! That is always our comfort amen sisters! He is going to reward everyone according to their works. Vengeance is His. In the end He will be the final and perfect Judge. Until then we can have the attitude of "lay not this sin to their charge" if anyone wrongs us in any way...which sure will happen. That is humility.

There are many things that should not be once named among us. Our calling is very high isn't it sisters. But there is always mercy and hope in the Lord for those with willing hearts who fail in the flesh. Let us strive to do our best sisters!

Psalm 119 reading here...

There's so much about His Word in there...it's awesome! Let us feed on His Word and live by it all!

Ready to go...

Thankful to get two more batches done!

Peaceful...

Thankful to have godly women's raiment to sew.

Good blessings going out into the sun...

A good warm and hot week ahead for them. And then I bring them in to my little home each night.

So I've had a very busy and fruitful day. Satisfying. Praise God for whatever we can do! Let's see what tomorrow has in it for me. Probably a slower one as the electricity is supposed to be off for a good while. No canning or sewing. It's usually good to have some kind of idea what you might do the next day...if He wills. Helps to redeem the time. How's your days sisters? Hopefully filled with many good works of all sorts in whatever ministry and calling you each have! Good job if that's so sisters! Don't grow weary in it all! Rejoice to be His daughters and know He sees your works and is pleased.

Beautiful sunset to His glory!

I decided to take you with reading some scriptures on quietness.

Hope those blessed you. My sisters and women who want to be fully godly are welcome in my little home always! As we know, we can't be close to those who hate the Lord (ie don't obey Him) or bring false doctrine.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
2 John 1:10-11

Strive on in the truth sisters!

Press on to the kingdom!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
