Greetings sisters!
I hope you're striving on in the Lord on this day!
This is our hope if we endure sisters...
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
1 Corinthians 15:42-44
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
John 11:25
Our Saviour is our hope! But for now we need to rejoice in infirmities so the power of Christ can be shown in us. Keep dragging the corruptible, dishonorable, weak, natural body around sisters:-) One day it will be an incorruptible, glorious, powerful spiritual body if we endure! Glory to God!
I was reading in Acts...
And he called unto him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night; And provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.
Acts 23:23-24
And pondering that account of Paul being escorted to safety with hundreds of soldiers. He sure had an interesting life preaching Christ crucified! Sometimes you think you've read the scriptures over and over and you have but there's always something new to ponder and dig in to.
And was reading the accounts and pondering how he stood before many rulers and people giving his testimony.
But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
Acts 9:15-16
I was pondering on unfaithful servants. That's really what those claiming Christ are around us and all over the world. We know what happened to them in Jesus' parables. You can't just claim the title of servant of Christ without doing what is required! Let us be diligent in our own serving of Him.
I was also thinking about the Pharisee and the publican praying. He was thanking God that He wasn't like other men.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 18:11-14
While I am super thankful of the Lord's pure ways to walk in, we keep ourselves low because we know we have sinned and may still, so we need His mercy always.
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:9
The Lord equips you for the life He has for you. You may know of areas you could grow in and you don't face those situations much. But God knows best and if He has a different life for us then He will be the one to give us what we need when we need it...if we have willing hearts that are striving our best. He is the Potter and we are just the clay. We want to surrender to His will. If we live many years more then of course there will be a great variety of changes within those years for us to learn how to grow in. We know not what the rest of our lives will bring. God does and I am glad He will be there if we are faithful to Him. Let us be patient, and content and thankful to be His!
Next Matthew reading here...
Pretty creations He made...all over the world!
I've had a busy day canning and child-minding. And getting a sewing order sent off. And other usual works. After such days it's a blessing to finally slow down in the evening (big sigh)! And now I'm coming here getting my post finished to edify you, my sisters! (Or any seekers or other women who may be reading. I hope you repent to be obedient to sound doctrine and to the one true faith once delivered through the gospel.)
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
1 Timothy 4:16
I would glady share the treat I was given with my sisters...
I got this amount and a bit more done today...
And hopefully I can do the same amount tomorrow. Let's see. Good blessings the Lord provided!I am blending them, then heating them, then canning them.
Just trying to do it the most time saving way and that fits the most in each jar. Perhaps you sisters may know a better way but whatever works in the end is good I guess! Hopefully I can work on the post about it later...but for now I'm busy actually doing it before they spoil! And hopefully I can put another batch in the dryer too as I 'think' I have another week around here but we'll see. One day at a time right sisters?!
I'm thankful to have good works to do. It's important food works as we are to be content with food and raiment. Even though we don't worry about tomorrow, it's wise to store up what the Lord provides if possible as we don't know the future either. I think of Joseph storing up for seven years, for seven years of famine. We remember when grocery shelves were almost bare just recently too when the world was going crazy. But anyway good works to occupy in and not bad ones anymore. A few things came to mind recently of things I used to do...time wasting vain things. But that was a different person as I am a new creation and I'm thankful to know better and be set free from such things. I'm sure you sisters are super thankful too!! Praise God! I love being a godly woman.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32
Well I think that's all from me now sisters. Lord willing I will be back tomorrow. And I hope you are too...but that's OK too if the Lord took you home as that is gain for you!
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.Philippians 1:21
Just don't fall away sisters...so be on guard. And we don't want to lose our first love either. Strive on stedfast, without wavering! Be lively stones!
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.1 Peter 2:5
Love in Christ,
