Today's Edification (16 March 2024)

Salutations to my fellow sisters!

A new day and another post to edify you and help press you on in the faith!

I love that scripture above. We see the living dead all around us. But we are the living living in Christ!

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:11-13

Let us fully receive the real biblical Jesus! Then we can have the right to be children of God!

I love this scripture too!

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Titus 3:4-6

I love that...washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Ghost shed on us through Christ! It's all about Him!

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Colossians 2:9

I was pondering on the word and concept of Saviour. A Saviour saves! Saves from sin.

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Philippians 3:20

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:13-14

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:25

I took you with sharing random thoughts on a morning walk...

And here's Matthew 22 reading...

I looked up into the tree I was reading under and it looked really majestic or something...

Awesome creations He made! And it's 'just' one tree. Think about all His creations added together! Mind blowing.

Pretty evening Titus 2 view...

And feather creation...

So much amazing design in His creation! We know it did not all make itself (can't believe I even need to write that but some have faith in that). And we know He made it all in six literal days.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Genesis 1:31

Many things in this life on this earth which is cursed by sin do not endure; health, relationships, marriages, faith, life, and more. But what does sisters?
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 1:24-25
His Word!

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 10:22
And we can also!

We don't want to be this...
And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Mark 4:17
Let our roots be deep in Christ!
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:12

This scripture came to mind about calling to rememberance. Let's also remember all the Lord has done in our faith walk! It can be good to look back in that regard. And it can encourage us to keep pressing on! Think of all He has brought us through already!

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:32-36

I love that too...'took joyfully the spoiling of your goods'. Yeah we know what we have is the Lord's and we have treasure in the heavens! Yeah and having need of patience is good to remember too! Much much patience needed! Be patient sisters. Wait on the Lord. Rest in Him. Trust. Endure a great fight of afflictions!

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:19-21

Be strong sisters! I plan to be till the end!

That, my biblical name, is a strengthening reminder to me:-)

And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous {chayil} woman.

Ruth 3:11

It is God that girdeth me with strength {chayil}, and maketh my way perfect.

Psalm 18:32

Who can find a virtuous {chayil} woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Proverbs 31:10

The LORD God is my strength {chayil}, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Habakkuk 3:19

Be strong sisters, be strong! And where do we get our strength from? From the Lord who made heaven and earth! He has unlimited strength to help us! Praise God! Let us rise up every day and not grow weary in well doing!

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 4:16

I'm thankful for brother Paul's love of the saints which we can still be blessed today by what he wrote to them via the Spirit!

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

2 Corinthians 2:4

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Acts 20:31

I'm sure he got his good reward and crown of life!

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 4:7

I love my neighbors...which includes the saints, the lost, and my enemies!

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Luke 6:35

I hope you're all striving on, sisters, and all your good works are going well! Mine are here. Any one else I hope you give up all false ways and sins and come to the knowledge of the truth!

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:4

And not like this....

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Timothy 3:7

Or this...

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Hebrews 10:26

The Word is the truth sisters! Hold fast to that! Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and we get the Spirit of truth!

I was just thinking...there's something much different than writing a post than reading one. It is really edifying writing one...in a different way to reading although they both are edifying. And you have to think more deeply than if you were just reading one. And there's a difference between reading scriptures quietly than out loud. You always seem to get more if you read them aloud yourself:-)

Keep striving on sisters, no matter if you have to be alone, or if you know other saints afar, or with you physically. We know few are the holy believers and the days are perilous and the time short.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18

Rise up and shine right where you are for the Lord sees and knows His own! Hold fast to what you have sisters. Tightly. Let nothing go. It will be worth it all! He is worthy!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
