Today's Edification (3 February 2024)

Saluting my sisters who love the Lord!

I hope you are strong in Him today!

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:9

In Him, is all the strength we need to press on in this faith race!

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Timothy 2:20-21

That's what's happening in our lives as we grow in the Lord! I love thinking about being 'meet for the master's use and prepared unto every good work'!

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:17

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10

That's awesome to think about Him working in us, and us striving with a willing heart too!

More Psalm readings here...

And some scriptures on patience too...

It made me smile...little 4 year old niece was washing her hands in the bathroom by herself and I walked past and heard her singing a little song about Him being our Saviour and we trust in Him. Precious things in a dark world:-) And smiles of a 3 month old are precious too...I get a lot of those in my serving duties. Extra cute when he's wrapped up in a blanket for bed and supposed to be rocked to sleep and he's smiling up at me:-)

And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,

And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

Matthew 21:15-16

While we naturally start out as babes and novices in the Lord, we don't (or shouldn't) stay there!

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

1 Corinthians 3:1-2

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 5:13-14

Let's keep testing and discerning and therefore growing sisters! And we never want to stop!

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Ephesians 4:15

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Psalm 92:12

Let us always study in context and not just believe what we were once taught or always believed. Test all things!

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

1 Thessalonians 5:21

Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good!
Romans 12:9b

Keep striving on sister saints!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
