Greetings sisters!
I hope your focus is on things above and in doing all things as unto the Lord in all your duties!
Next Psalm readings here...
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Luke 11:9-10
I was looking all over the house for something that was lost that is a great blessing to me. And then after I had stopped looking, something in the house wasn't working, so I went to try to fix that then thought I'd look a little more around the area for the other thing and sure enough it was there! I thanked the Lord as He hears our prayers and all things work for good!
We know people have to seek after the Lord and truth to find it too. And draw near to God for Him to draw near to them.
Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 15:8-10
Pondering again how we are to avoid and withdraw from and not keep company or eat with those in sin (who claim to believe) who will not repent.
Let us sisters keep being obedient in that area even if we are misunderstood for it but we are living for God first! It matters not in the end what people think...even if it isn't true. They thought and said false things about our Master too!
The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
Luke 7:34
Sometimes when you think more deeply about the reality of what is beyond just people's physical existence...you can't help thinking about the place of torment where those not obedient to the Lord will go. Yes sisters, it may be your dad, your mum, your husband, your earthly brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles and cousins and any former friends and everyone else around you or on the other side of the earth not in Christ. And then you balance that horror with the fact that God is holy and just and people are sinning grievously against Him. Jesus talked about hell and so should we too. We cannot force anyone to repent. It must be their own will but we can give them the gospel and shine our lights.
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Luke 12:5
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luke 16:24
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
Luke 13:28
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:15
Let us wisely heed this and fear God and work out our salvation with fear and trembling! (Repent anyone who isn't living fully surrendered to the Lord now.)
Proverbs 31/Titus 2
Let us not forget Him but remember all His mercies in all He bestows upon us!
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
Psalm 103:17-18
Let us cling to the Lord and His truth with diligence. It all can be lost and we will be lost forever if we do.
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Keep pressing forwards...onwards and upwards, sisters!
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:1-3
Love in Christ,
