Greetings sisters!
I hope the Lord is your portion today! Let's be content and thankful in Him and whatever calling He has given us!
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Psalm 73:25-26
Next Luke reading here...
As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
Acts 8:3-4
Pondering the women that were imprisoned or killed for Christ's sake and how even in the persecution the Word spread as the believers were scattered! Let us be ready to die for our precious Saviour and not deny His holy name for anything! The Lord will give us grace to bear whatever we need to when we need it if we trust in Him!
Let this be our heart also...
He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:30
Less of us and more of Christ! We take up our stake daily, crucifying the flesh, and submitting to the Lord.
We can glory in the Lord!
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Galatians 6:14
Praise Him for all He has done in our lives!
I also wanted to read some scriptures on words. Just a thought that was in my mind the other day and I got some more scriptures together today to add to them. I hope they edify you too!
There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
Proverbs 20:15
Keep striving on towards the Lord and the prize of the high calling!
Love in Christ,
Sister Chayil
