Greetings sisters!
Good to be back another day to help press you on in the kingdom! Of course all we do is for His glory and unto Him but He wants us to edify and exhort and such daily if He gave us that blessing to do so! The early saints were about the things of God daily and all the time and so should we be.
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
Acts 5:42
(Yes and He commands us to work and do other physical things too. We do them unto the Lord and in the right way and that is still being about the things of God as it glorifies Him!)
I was pondering this scripture...
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:46-48
And about the high calling we have in that area and all others (loving the unloving and greeting those other than our brethren). It is an area I needed to grow in and still need to keep in remembrance when I do get out into the world in actually putting forth effort to be open to be greeting and friendly to those around us, and not just go about our business, even if it is just a smile or saying hello etc.
There is a time when you cannot physically leave disobedient believers either and you just have to do your best in balancing the friendliness and the withdrawing and live at peace and just do your works and mind your own business while being salt and light. I know there are circumstances and a time to not talk to people anymore also. We know Jesus brought a sword to divide. Every situation is different and we use wisdom and obviously God's word to help us.
Of course we greet and are friendly to the saints as Paul often talked about and modelled himself.
Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
Philippians 4:21
I love greeting my sisters daily here on my blog or via our communication.
A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
Proverbs 17:17
It's a world where love has waxed cold and people like to keep to themselves a lot and such but we can do our best to obey the Lord's commands in how we relate to others and love our neighbors (try our best anyway). The greatest love we can give is the gospel! Yep even if they think it's the most revolting thing in the world for you to give them, let us do it unto God.
(pretty leaf creation:-)
Would dish you all up a bowl of buckwheat soup if I could...
Thankful for physical blessings from the Lord too...but most of all spiritual ones though!
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
John 6:27
I was thinking of this scripture too...
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Peter 2:2-3
I was reminded of that because sometimes I have a ravenously hungry 2 month old baby on my hands, hungry for milk (seems to be a lot of the time:-), who I'm trying to put to sleep but to no avail. Doesn't even nature teach us? Let us desire the Word with as much eagerness as babies after milk! Let us grow by it as they sure do physically!
Next Luke reading here....
Thankful for a Saviour who laid down His life for us.
And here's a sunset creation walk with a few scripture verses and some encouragement to remind us that this life is temporal and look to the life that is to come if we endure! It will be worth it all sisters! Press on!
This thought struck me yesterday....
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
And I was thinking that we can and should rejoice and rest in His forgiveness! Isn't His forgiveness enough for us? Read that slowly again...He...is...faithful...and...just to forgive and cleanse from ALL unrighteousness! Makes me think it could be a kind of unbelief if we don't fully believe and trust in His forgiveness. We kind of doubt it, even subconsciously. We can hold onto shame and guilt for way too long when He is one of instant redemption and remembers sins no more when we repent!
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Psalm 103:12-14
Praise God! And if He has forgiven us who are we to keep dwelling on any of our past failings. I believe satan would have us do that and bring condemnation. So if I may put it this way, we need to 'forgive ourselves'. We can learn and remember lessons from them going forward but not let them hinder us or steal our joy!
I hope to have an audio on my testimony and also a post on how to be a good servant coming in the next few weeks, Lord willing! And there's always much to share daily here! Praise God for all good things to share. I would be close to speechless if trying to talk in depth about anything else other than spiritual things as I was not a natural writer and couldn't care less about most other things...so all for His glory! Let us use whatever abilities the Lord allows us to have. Of course we have to press on in things sometimes when it doesn't come easy but I have found the more spiritual battles/trials in my life, the more quantity I have to share here which is a good thing as I can edify you also! His Word is a treasure to dig into and may we discern all things and test all things to it.
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
Psalm 40:16
May He be magnified in our lives as we live out His ways by faith until it turns into sight and we see Him face to face!
And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
Revelation 22:4
I leave you for the day with a scripture picture from a sister (thank you) ...
Amen!
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.Psalm 103:1
