Greetings sisters!
I hope you are striving on, humbly learning and growing and being refined in the faith! We know there is always some kind of spiritual battle going on and there's never a time to relax and put down our fight. We should never think there's not going to be trials or issues to resolve. This is a good thing as we are not just sitting back and not striving for truth. Let us not be overly concerned when we go through problems to work out. Let us strive for God's glory and truth always!
Mercy, patience, longsuffering...that's what we all need to be and have a lot of for each other. We never want to think we are something but we know we are human and very fallible. Let's keep striving on to do our best for His glory sisters! That's my goal and I trust it is yours also. One day we can be set free from the flesh and it's limitations. We can only do our best with the Spirit. We see in scripture God using those who were low and not the high and lifted up. Let us be meek and lowly servants before such a great God as ours! He is perfect! But let us also grow to be more perfect as He prunes us. Those whom He loves He chastens! This is a blessing. Hold fast through all things sisters no matter what! Rejoice in trials! We shall have many and various and we got to be ready to die for the truth!
If you're ever trying to do the right thing sisters and get misunderstood...keep pressing on for the Lord as He knows all things! I always find that comforting.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Keep striving on sisters - not growing weary in well doing - and working through any trials and holding on. Get up and keep going if you're down! What is the first question that should come to our minds when we are faced with a decision or asked to give an answer? God's glory! What will glorify, please, and be obedient to Him!
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11
A sister read scriptures yesterday on 'it is written'. If something is spoken and not recorded we can forget it more easily. If we read words on paper (or a screen) it seems a lot more powerful and for sure we can remember it better and read it any time we want. Let us cling to the written word of God and live by it all...not just bits and pieces.
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4
Thankful to have works to occupy in
And the satisfaction of being done finally...
Simple blessings...sewing clothing. Reminds me of the disciple Dorcas...sewing for others. Let us be thankful for what work we can do and thankful and content in whatever our ministry is!
Titus 2 word of the day...chaste. That's not a word we know very well in today's English. But if we look at the Greek word we see it is closely related to holy. That gives us a good idea what it is to do with. It is refering to how we should be innocent and clean. We know generally as believers we are to be holy...set apart unto God too.
Here's some more scriptures with the same Greek word...
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:2
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
1 Peter 3:2
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 John 3:3
That's often something that will help us understand a concept...look at the way the word is used in other scriptures/contexts. Let us keep being chaste and growing in all things!
For those who don't think sin matters much...
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Mark 9:43
We know Jesus taught otherwise about radical action to take (figuratively).
Next Luke reading here...
And I wanted to talk to someone about the things of God so I made you a quick encouragement audio here with a scripture to remember the Lord's grace! Hope it blessed you too!
(Thank you sister for the scripture pictures:-)
Keep striving on as godly women sisters! Lord willing I will be back to you after some travels again tomorrow. God knows what each of our days will bring! Let us trust and submit.
Love in Christ,
Sister Chayil
