Today's Encouragement (7 December 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

This is one more day God gave to us! Let us do good in it! 

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Psalms 143:10

 

A new morning of His mercies to go out and serve Him in a brand new day!

Thankful for His Word and we can know that 'it is written'. 

Next years broad beans... 

Amazing miracles seeds are really! Well all His creations are! And we sisters are involved in another type of seed planting...seeds of truth and the gospel! Awesome how there's so many lessons and comparisons to God's creation in the spiritual life. It's like comparing physical things which we know about and can physically see and touch to spiritual things we cannot see but believe by faith. 

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 

Matthew 13:18

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. 

Luke 20:9

I was thinking about truth and how people take so much liberty to change it even in things like children's books, filling them with fantasy and things that are not true. Not much is thought today about lies and this world is packed full of them.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 

John 8:44

Lies are so directly opposite of the truth (obviously). But when you ponder it more deeply you realise it more clearly. There is only one truth in this world of many lies! And that is our God and Saviour Jesus Christ the Creator who created all this and set truth to be truth for ever! We are blessed to have His written Word and also the Spirit of truth given to us. It is not different truths for different people is it sisters as we sometimes hear being said. 

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 

John 14:6

 

I decided to do an audio on patience today! Hope that encourages you also!

Let's keep being patient through all sorts of things in this life, sisters! 

I was cutting out from fabric scraps to make another gospel bag for myself... 

And was pondering how I'm not about to start 'selling' the truth of God for several reasons. For number one reason, freely we have received the truth and we are to freely give. While it may not be sinful to simply ask for someone to cover the cost of something if you couldn't afford to yourself, the next reason is I would not make these bags for anyone who isn't sound in the faith and a true saint living the gospel every day. I once had a woman I got to share the gospel with who was considering wanting me to make her these bags (as she saw me with one)...with a modification to fit her beliefs. This I would never do. 

I'd share my evening meal with you... 

Many garden blessings in there of potato, leek, zucchini and pumpkin. The Lord provides and it's rewarding fruits of labouring too! 

The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

2 Timothy 2:6

Keep striving sister soldiers! Don't grow weary in well doing! Look to the Saviour who is mighty!
