Today's Encouragement (17 July 2022)

Greetings sister saints!

Hopefully today you're holding fast in the faith! Sometimes we may feel we grow a lot in the Lord and sometimes not so much. But no matter what we keep fighting and as long as we are not going back we are growing stronger in standing in the Lord. And sometimes if we do fall or go back for a short time we learn and overcome and hopefully are stronger from it!

I love this contrast of these two verses...

I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

Psalm 119:158

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

3 John 1:3-4

It's true we can have both sorrow about those who disobey the Lord and then great joy over those who do! And the ones who do are so very rare indeed! So it is great joy and refreshing when we hear of those few keeping walking in truth and overcoming!

We know so many turn away from Jesus and the cost to follow Him, grieved...

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Mark 10:21-22

And then there are those who follow with joy...

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

1 Thessalonians 1:6

That's a blessing to see too! And I know a few of you sisters who walk in truth and joyfully follow Him even if it's hard! Nothing really is too hard for Him is it! He is so worthy!

Thank you for sharing the encouraging scriptures, sister...

We do want the Lord to lead us! We'd be hopeless if we tried to get anywhere ourselves! Praise God that He showed us the way through His Son and we have been called to follow!

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

And we keep seeking to follow and obey Him first and most! And He will lead and guide us!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

OK sisters well I hope those scriptures were edifying and encouraging to think about! Hold fast and keep walking in the truth!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
