Hope and Humility

Greetings in Christ to my sisters.

How's things in your life?

And yes sisters...our hope is in the Lord! He is faithful and true and keeps His promises!

hope

That word is so encouraging in this dark world where we see so much going wrong and so many in despair and depression because of sin and the suffering it produces.

I read some scriptures on hope...

My hope is that they also will encourage and edify you, my sisters.

How blessed we are now to have such hope in Christ...

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Ephesians 2:12-14

Praise God! How grateful we are for that. And we don't take it lightly...but live for the One who made it possible for us to have such hope!

And I share some scriptures from sisters...

What a great and holy God who deals with the lowly ones and despises the pride.

Goes along with this one...

Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Psalm 138:6

And this...

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Proverbs 16:5

We women certainly want to be clothed with humility.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

1 Peter 5:5-6

That actually reminds me of how we women of God are to adorn ourselves with good works...surely humility would be one. We know the Lord has made us and we have nothing that we have not received from Him. All our good works are what we are supposed to do and were created for. Our obedience to the Lord is only our reasonable service. All the glory goes to God our Creator.

And it's true that the world would look at us Titus 2 women, who are content to conform our lives to the role God made us for, as having very 'small' and lowly jobs to do. And whether that is a helper to a husband or a keeper at home and serving others and whatever good and godly things we can do we know it doesn't matter what man thinks of us but what the Lord does. It's right where the Lord made us for and so it's the best place to be! Anyway we should only care about what our Creator and Saviour see us as...obedient or disobedient.

Amen let us sisters continue to be zealous for good works and hate evil.

(And thank you for both of these scripture pictures sister:-)

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2 Peter 3:11

Amen...so let us sisters be living holy lives obedient to the Word.

Amen we can indeed overcome in and through Him! Strive on in patient endurance sisters running the race with joy.

That's what I have for today! Hope it blessed you and what a blessed hope we have to come if we endure faithfully! Let us all provoke one another to love and good works daily!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
