Greetings sisters!
How are you doing in the Lord? I hope standing strong in Him wherever you are and shining your light in a dark world. That's what I'm striving to do daily and I rejoice in the Lord and all the many blessings that come in this life in Him. It can all depend where we put our focus can't it. If we focus on the Lord and seek first His kingdom and righteousness then the trials whatever they are that we have to go through seem much smaller. Much can be overlooked when we set our minds on Christ and things above and also loving and caring for the saints we know. It all helps to take our focus off of ourselves where we don't want it anyway.
Today I am sharing some scriptures on some areas we are to rejoice in. We can rejoice in so many things! We are so blessed in the Lord. I just share a few of those here in hopes to edify and encourage you in your lives.
We rejoice in the Lord Himself!
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Psalm 97:12
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
1 Peter 1:8
We rejoice in persecutions!
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Matthew 5:11-12
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye ; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
1 Peter 4:13-14
Rejoice when a lost sheep is found (when a sinner repents)!
What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Luke 15:4-7
Rejoice for our names written in heaven!
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Luke 10:20
Rejoice in the hope of Christ!
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:2
Rejoice with the brethren who rejoice!
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Romans 12:15
Rejoice in the truth!
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1 Corinthians 13:6
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
2 John 1:4
And we see rejoicing to come!
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Revelation 19:7-9
Praise God for all the hope and joy we can have through His mercy and grace when we only deserved death and destruction. Let us joyfully serve this awesome God and Saviour and strive to please Him!
OK sisters I hope that encouraged you! I know it can be harder to feel like rejoicing sometimes as when we are physically tired or weak or sick or being hated or hurt by others but we can still have God's peace and power in our lives and have joy even in the midst of sorrow. Our Saviour knows about the sorrows but it is in Him we can also rejoice!
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isaiah 53:3
Rejoice evermore.
1 Thessalonians 5:16
Amen sisters...let us do so!
Hold fast in this wicked world sister soldiers. Shine your lights of obedience to the Lord brightly where you are so that He is glorified. His ways are good and what a blessing we get to bear His Name. Let us take this seriously and bring Him honour and not shame by our lives as obedient godly quiet women.
Love in Christ,
Sister Michaela
