Better Things

Hello sisters!

I'm popping in briefly today to say hello and hope you are all overcoming all what we need to in this life! We all have trials and issues to overcome some more and some less and sometimes more or sometimes less. But this life is short and the Lord gives us what we need if we trust in Him.

I thought I'd share some verses from Proverbs and the wisdom in them on some things that are 'better'. I'm sure we can all agree and relate to these in our Christian lives.

Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.

Proverbs 15:16-17

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

Proverbs 16:8

Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Proverbs 16:19

Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Proverbs 19:1

Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.

Proverbs 17:1

Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Proverbs 27:5-6

And a verse from the NT that a sister and I often talk about.

It's far better to depart and be with Christ...but we have work to do here including encouraging others on too!

Well sisters I'm sure that's edifying and encouraging to think on all the better things. And even if we have to live in situations that are not 'ideal' (in our flesh) we know God's ways are true and far better! Reminds me of what a sister posted on how few true believers there really are (what Jesus said about how few would find the narrow road). It's better to strive on alone than to compromise. Praise God for His Word!

And thank you sister for sharing this verse and picture which goes along with the scripture I just shared above.

Let us labour faithfully for the Lord until He takes us home sisters!

OK sisters, time for me to go. Some days I have more to share and some less. Either way it's a blessing to share in our lives in the Lord. Hold fast holy sisters!

Love to you,

Sister Michaela
