Greetings in Christ sisters,
I'm coming back with a little edification for your day in the Lord. Hope yours is going well and you are strong in Him!
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:10-11
We always love that one don't we and want to be like those who search the scriptures! And it says they did it daily too. Knowing we live in an age of great deception we also must cling to the scriptures and the truth in it testing all we come across to the Word don't we sisters, lest we be deceived.
Here's a rose for my sisters who truly love the Lord...
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.Galatians 6:10
And some great and high ways of God for us to aim for here...
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Luke 6:31-36
Aren't God's ways just so perfect sisters? When obeyed how wonderful they are. We know we will always have the world to deal with around us. And our own flesh to fight but we don't give up doing our best to obey His ways.
Yes He knows what He's doing. Reminds me of something some sisters and I were sharing about being consistent in our witness not rushing here and there being swept away in all these different beliefs and doctrines. We can stand on God's Word and not be swayed from it.
Love this scripture and what we are to be...
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:13-15
Amen sisters, let us grow up in Christ and speak the truth in love.
