Good day sisters!
Hope your day in the Lord is going well (or went well)!
I was reading this verse last night...
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
1 Corinthians 3:18
That's a deep one to ponder isn't it sisters! And how true is that! I was thinking also in regards to those sisters who live with others who are not believers or who call themselves believers (but the fruit of their lives isn't becoming of one). That verse is right...you feel like a fool for sure because everyone thinks you're half crazy or worse for living the way you do. And of course living in the world everywhere we go many will think we are foolish for believing in the true God and obeying Him fully. As that verse says sisters, let us become fools that we may be wise!!!
Of course we know we aren't to go on what man (family, friends, neighbours, or the world) thinks of us but it's all part of losing our lives for Christ amen sisters?
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
Luke 9:23-26
We know don't we that man is seeking after earthly wisdom and knowledge and it is highly esteemed with them. But we seek after Christ and Him crucified and risen first! And with that comes the hope of eternal life sisters!
We are truly wise if we fear God and follow and obey Him in spirit and in truth. Yes the world thinks we are foolish and the religious people of our day think we are legalistic and going too far just for obeying what God tells us to. But we have to let them think whatever they want! One day the Father will put everything right!
So sisters, let's be fools in the world's eyes and in so doing we will be pleasing to God!! Isn't that the best thing? Yes it may be hard in our flesh but if we overcome we will be richly rewarded and glorify God in it all!
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1 John 3:22
Of course we are not actually acting or living foolishly no but that the world thinks we are for following Christ and being zealous for Him!
We know we are to be wise and live godly but just because we are Christian, obeying all the ways we are commanded to, we become foolish to the world. God's ways are so much higher than ours aren't they sisters! And it is through the new mind and heart the Spirit gives us that we can understand and follow these things of God which are to be obeyed.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2:14
I read you 1 Corinthians 1:17-31...

Yes the gospel message we have to share with the world is also foolishness to them!
And the way we are keepers at home and cover our bodies and head, in a feminist and uncovered and evil world, is foolish to them too. But we live to please God, amen sisters! Let's also remember that as women who are to have a meek and quiet spirit and we don't have the authority as the godly men do for sure but God will use us if we are ready and obedient. God uses things the world calls foolish for His purposes!
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
Luke 6:26
They said Jesus had a devil...so we know we shouldn't be surprised if people think we are crazy too sisters. Christ is worthy to be suffered for and thought foolish for! It's only for a time and then we shall spend eternity with Him! Let us rejoice and overcome through Him!
