Patience, Purity, and Perfection

Greetings in the Lord sisters!

"Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."

2 Corinthians 1:2

How are you going, wherever you are on this earth?

I'm back again and have more of a collection of scriptures than anything. Sometimes I only have a few thoughts that come and then I expand upon them and see what it turns into. And often times it can go all over the place from subject to subject. This post today is no exception but I hope it can bless you in some way! God's words are better than mine anyway so may they edify you sisters!

Amen, we need patience in this life for Christ. And to not be slothful!

I was pondering about some things related to how silence is a good thing but probably not seen as so in the world's eyes. God does that doesn't He, uses things that are not highly esteemed! We know it is important in the life of a godly woman as well. God's ways are so much higher than ours and our flesh's way. And it can therefore be a very powerful thing indeed!

We see that in how we are to treat enemies too...

"Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

Romans 12:20-21

"But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also."

Luke 6:27-29

Amen. And we know one day it all shall be put right and that's God's business and we need to make sure we are right.

"Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."

2 Thessalonians 1:6-12

We can ponder how our Saviour reacted.

"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth."

Isaiah 53:7

"And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled."

Mark 15:3-5

"Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:"

1 Peter 3:1-5

"A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards."

Proverbs 29:11

Let us try our best to think before we speak. Words are indeed powerful and we know we shall give account for any idle ones.

"For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body."

James 3:2

We see the extent of being able to control our words there where it calls such a one perfect. Perfection is indeed what we are to aim for and I'm sure all the saints of God are aiming for it as we are told to. And that is opposite of the false views of our day that says we are just bad and can't help it and all those kinds of things. Especially claimed believers saying we don't have to try to live holy lives because of what Christ did for us because they say you just believe.

"Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?"

James 2:22

"Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him."

Proverbs 24:17-18

All part of being pure and blameless in our walks and before the Lord, which is closely tied to being perfect too. We know from Titus 2 that we women are to be chaste and that is to be pure and holy.

Some Proverbs 31/1 Timothy 2....

I recently finished another skirt for my shop. That one required extra much patience in the making of it.

My ready made skirts waiting to be bought...

(Imagine if there was a biblical clothing store in every town...how easy that would make things! That video just reminded me of that:-)

Yes it certainly does require much patience to sew these things. Well at least new things like I have been recently or trying to learn better ways of doing things. Also patience in waiting for someone to buy them. I don't worry about such things. I just put them on my shop, do the best I can, and hope that someone who needs them will find them. The Lord can direct all that and I just go about other more important things. I praise God and am grateful to be able to sew something for someone and supply a need of clothing.

A bit of God's creation...

I loved seeing the moss sprouting fresh...

And looking at a split tree trunk...

...seeing how it all grew. It's another amazing creation of God.

I was just reading this today (to a sister in the Lord) and it's exactly true today...

"And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake."
Acts 6:10

So they make up false accusations. We can see jealousy and pride in doing that. So let us sisters not be surprised if people do that to us today. We know it's God and His truth in us that they cannot stand against and so they bring falsehoods against us.

A sister sent me this scripture picture...

And shared this...

Amen because it's true and it happens.

Let us be examining ourselves and on guard.

"But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer."

1 Peter 4:7

"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."

1 Corinthians 10:12

"Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."

Mark 13:33-37

Lord willing I shall be back again the next day. May your day go well in seeking after the Lord and His kingdom and righteousness. And in that doing all those duties that we have to do as godly women.

To God be the glory!

Love in Christ,

...from one of God's servants
