Edification for a New Day

Good day in the Lord sisters!

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

1 John 5:4

I like that! Are you overcoming the world?

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."

Ephesians 6:16

 Through Christ we can overcome!

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

John 16:33

 Amen!

And I share some scripture pictures. Some are from a faithful sister in the Lord and some are from me but we don't care but to share them here so that the Lord may be glorified and the sisters edified!

A bit like this maybe...

"And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common."

Acts 4:32

And some of them are joint pictures because one sends a picture and the other sends it back with scripture:-) It is one way that we edify and encourage one another daily. Anyway I share them here for all of us sisters.

(This one's interesting she sent one of frost covers they put on flowers somewhere where she was.)

"Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do."
1 Thessalonians 5:11

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

Ephesians 4:29

I hope those scriptures and God's creation can edify and refresh you.

Praise God for each saint who is striving on, overcoming trials and the flesh and living victorious in the power of the Lord.

"Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you."

Isaiah 35:4

And for some keeper at home, a tea/dinner I made tonight. A chicken stir fry.

It was pretty simple. I just fried two onions and a capsicum/pepper and several crushed garlic cloves in butter. And added chopped chicken. Cooked it all. Roasted some almonds. Added some cornflour, water, and salt to thicken into a sauce...and that's it.

Oh and there was a piece of fresh ginger in the fridge so I used a small bit of it grated.

And served it with brown rice and steamed carrot.

It was delicious! Praise God for good foods!

"Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye : and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"

1 Peter 3:8-15

I hope and pray each of you sisters continues to love the Lord with your whole being. He is worthy!

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Hebrews 12:1-2

Love and peace in Christ,
