Be Ye Separate

Good day readers,

I wanted to share a brief post about why I cannot spiritually unite to people who say they are believers but live in sin.

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
2 Corinthians 6:17-18

If people know you are Christian you may be expected to join them in their "worship" or prayer or singing or Bible study. If you know they are not living in sound doctrine and full obedience to scripture then according to God's Word it is not good to do. They may be your earthly family or close friends but God's Word tells us how to handle these situations.

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."
Romans 16:17

1 Timothy 6:5 and 2 Thessalonians 3:6 say withdraw from sinful believers.

1 Corinthians 5:11 and 2 Thessalonians 3:14 say not to keep company of sinful believers.

And there are more commands in scripture to do so. Yes the people say you are welcome to come gather with them to worship...but God's Word says no don't do it. I want to obey God even if people think I am strange.

One thing that comes to mind is that many of these people will be praying to God and women might be there and God says in 1 Corinthians 11 that it is shameful for a woman to pray unto God uncovered. So for a godly covered woman to unite to that shame it would be sinful. Reminds me of this scripture...

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful."
Psalm 1:1

There are many more sins that should cause a godly woman to separate from those claiming to follow Christ who are also keeping sin and false doctrine and traditions as well.

We sisters don't fellowship spiritually with people who do have false ways and sin even at the expense of family togetherness. We are to love God first above people. Remembering, loving God is keeping His commands.

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment."
Matthew 22:37-38

Yes it would be wonderful if more people really wanted to fully follow and obey Christ, but in these last days it is a rare thing so most often saints will be alone (or with few). They can joyfully serve the Lord where He has them. Yes if they are blessed to know of other true believers they will long to gather and be united in true fellowship.

"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."
Acts 2:42

Stay strong godly women! One day if we endure faithful we shall be gathered with multitudes of holy saints!

"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."
Revelation 7:9-17

And then that will be forever! There's just a short bit we need to get through here on this earth showing the power of God and bringing Him glory through our lives. He has died to redeem us. May we not live unto ourselves.

"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
1 Corinthians 6:20

Lord willing, tomorrow, I hope to share some more of God's creation I got to see today.

Love in Christ
