Today's Edification (31 August 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here is another day the Lord gave me. And one thing I can do in my day is to come here to share in the Lord and all good and pure and true things.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

Another month and season is over! And it's time for a picture catch up post. Time can go by so fast can't it. So let us redeem it in good things sisters. I'm sure you're occupying in many useful things too! Keep going in all good things sisters! The Lord sees us. Dark are the times but His saints are out there doing good things, few though they may be and many may be the evil works around us.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:15-17

A lot of gardening going on lately. It's that time of year when you get excited to put in spring vegetables etc! Pretty much the end of the winter crops too. It's just amazing how such beautiful things can grow from the soil for our food! Glory to God!

This was such a huge head of cauliflower...

Having to think of many different ways to use it. It's always a blessing when things make it through to harvest through all the pests and predators or lack of moisture or nutrients etc.

This pumpkin curry is one of my favourites...

Maybe I can share the recipe one day!

Some potatoes survived through the whole winter!

Such good blessings from the soil.

And the tomatoes in front of the house have finally decided it's warming up enough to produce fruit...

Major onion planting has been going on...

I wrecked my back pretty good after many days of weeding but I'm thankful it seems to have recovered and I'll just have to be more careful. We humans are so limited and we can't always do the things we need to or want to. Just have to take things slow and patient sometimes.

I would share this treat if I could! It's peanut butter fudge.

All you need is 1 cup peanut butter, 1/4 cup melted coconut oil, and 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup. It stores in the freezer. (Can add vanilla and a sprinkle of salt too.)

I'm still traveling most weeks to help at the children's.

Lots of helping went on here from little ones...

To make these sourdough caramelized onion scrolls. They're so good!

I did a lot of big batches of meals for the freezer too.

Chicks are quite big now and only three hens out of them all which is what was wanted. (But maybe some meat coming up or something from the roosters!)

Took some children on a walk on the farm so their mum could try to nap...

I got to rest outside under a tree a couple times. It was really nice and peaceful with the sun shining and lovely breeze.

Just something so simple and beautiful about it. Good pure and true blessings from the Lord. His mercies are clearly seen in sunshine and rain. He is good!

Youngest child was sad one day after he woke up from his nap. (They had a bad cold.) So I was tasked to take him outside to see the ride-on mower. That cheered him up as he sat on it for awhile. And then we found some soft grass to sit on in the sunshine. I thought he would be bored. But no he loved it and I did too as it was peaceful. "So soft" he would say and run his hand over the grass.

We studied grass and talked about it all and the different types. "Dat's cohver" he would keep saying as he picked clover leaves for me:) Precious and sweet. He wasn't grasping the concept of shadows though:)

I thought this little grass plant was cute.

So many tiny things make up a beautiful big carpet of grass! There's always something to see and marvel at in His creations! Lots in fact!

This is a puzzle my niece made for me:)

So precious are the little ones.

Still working on cleaning jobs too. Lots of windows in this one.

They definitely needed it as this before and after picture shows...

I was using a store-bought window cleaner spray as well as a home-made one and honestly I think I prefer the home made one better. Maybe I can share the recipe here sometime. But you can find some online. It's one which has cornflour in it! Windows are not easy to get streak free as I am sure you know! Well unless you're a professional window cleaner who knows how to wield a squeegee properly and I am not!

Had to clean this old train carriage house someone had out the back of their house too. Interesting.

Unique looking fungi or lichen creation...

And these on the underside of logs...

And just a peaceful river scene...

Glory to God for all good things in this world!

So I think that's all for this post until next time I post pictures. And Lord willing I will keep dropping in daily for some edifying and sharing in the Lord our great God.

So keep pressing on in whatever life the Lord has given each of you! Be encouraged that all of God's sons and daughters are labouring in the life they have. We can pray that all His children will stand strong in these perilous times which can only be getting worse according to the scriptures and what we see happening and could happen. But the Lord's return only draws nearer! May we be of good courage and continue to press on with zeal in the faith! Hold fast sisters! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (30 August 2025)

Hello sisters!

Here is one more day for us to strive to walk in the Spirit and not the flesh! His ways are pure and good!

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 3:17-18

These are the ways we want! And there are many other places in the NT that teach us those things too. We know they are the fruits of the Spirit. We have also been told what the works of the flesh are. Walking in those will not allow us to enter the kingdom of God. No we do not keep the law that was given by Moses but we follow Jesus by faith and all He taught us.

May we as women ponder our lives often and make sure we are being faithful in His ways for us. It's a blessing He told us what pleases Him! We have specific commands and instructions for women and of course all the general ways for all His saints to practice.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:11-14

That says it so clearly how we are to be now that there is grace shown to us through Christ!

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

1 Peter 2:9-11

Let us not take all His mercies and love lightly, but with thankful hearts do always those things that please Him. So press on strong, sisters, in the lives the Lord has given you, doing your best! In due season we will reap if we faint not! Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name.

Today's Edification (29 August 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here's another day for us to serve our Lord and God! I hope you are pressing on doing just that!

I was just pondering how in general people dislike authority of any kind over them. And that includes God of course which many don't even believe in anyway. But also the earthly authorities they don't want to submit to but we are commanded to by God and so we do. And that is in all things that do not cause us to sin against God who is higher than all.

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 3:1-2

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Romans 13:1-8

And we may not like or agree with some things but we obey God in this area anyway and submit to authorities and laws of the lands etc. God has called us to live peaceable and quiet lives where we are too. There's so many trouble makers out there and sadly some who name the name of Christ. It brings such reproach upon His name but may He be glorified in us.

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1 Peter 2:11-17

So let us do so. May we hold fast to the truth in such perilous times as these. We do not compare ourselves to others but to the Lord's ways don't we. May we shine as lights in this dark world. Mercy, peace, and love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (28 August 2025)

Hello again sisters!

Just dropping in briefly on a busy day to share some edifying in the Lord. We seek first His kingdom and righteousness and that involves examining our lives frequently to make sure we are being faithful in all He gave us!

Here's some edifying for your day...

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Rejoice evermore.

Pray without ceasing.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Quench not the Spirit.

Despise not prophesyings.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-23

Those are God's ways for us to follow with our whole heart. They are so good! May we not grow weary in any good thing in this present evil world. Our redemption draws nearer sisters! Let us press on with diligence and wisdom. Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name. The glory be to God only wise!

Greetings sister saints!

I hope you're standing strong in the faith and truth and all sound doctrine. We have His Word to guide us through this world. He has given us all we need! Let us seek His good ways to walk in them and not do our own ways!

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 8:1-9

His ways are truly good and we love them!
O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
Psalm 119:97

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
Psalm 119:140

So may we keep walking out our faith in obedience. Let us be ready for His coming, patiently waiting and found faithful.

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

Luke 12:35-37

Hold fast sisters! Love to you in His name, above all names.

Hello sisters in Christ!

I hope you're pressing on in the faith in this corrupt world! So much doesn't matter except fighting for the faith and that eternal prize. Let us keep everything in perspective and live content and peaceful lives on this earth, doing the best we can where we are!

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 16:24-27

Our Saviour came into this troubled world and walked among us. He came unto His own people in fact who received Him not. We too may need to be in places or go to places we don't care for and that bring challenges. This world will always vex us in ways. But we are not our own but here to serve as Jesus did. He is such a good example in so many ways!

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2:5-8

Let us keep growing more and more into His likeness! We have a perfect role model to follow. Let us strive on. Keep going in all your household and other godly women's duties sisters! They please the Lord! Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name.

Hello again sisters!

This is one more day to rejoice and be glad in our wonderful Lord and Saviour! He has done marvelous things in creating everything with His words and sustaining it to this day, and that He sent us a Saviour when we were doomed and most hopeless after we sinned. And He's preparing a place for us so we can be with Him! Glory to His name alone! And let us walk in a worthy manner and with great thankfulness at all times!

The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
Psalm 126:3

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:10-11

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:14-18

And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
1 Corinthians 6:14

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

Indeed He came into this world as one of us, taught us how to live, died for our sins, was raised again for our justification, and is coming back for His own! And so much more! Yes let us rejoice and be glad for His great love and mercy showed to us! May we not receive His grace in vain but love Him - as He first loved us - by keeping His ways that honour Him. Glory to His name!

So strive on wherever you are sisters! Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name.

Today's Edification (24 August 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're striving on and standing in the truth wherever you are and in whatever life the Lord has for you! We have a wonderful Saviour and our God is no respecter of persons as all can come to Him to be saved! It's astounding that more don't really as so much is at stake. Life is so sobering really when you think of the two destinations for all people.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:...

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:...

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matthew 25:31-34,41,46

Oh how we want to be welcomed into His presence and not sent away. Let us keep fighting the good fight of faith and be on guard for anything that would stumble us or lead us into sin or compromise.

I like looking up the scriptures that are mentioned in the NT from the old. It helps put the two together and there's much that is the Lord's will for us right through the Word though some has changed (mostly the law that was added because of transgression until the promise came!). And they may be worded slightly differently so that may help us get a better understanding of what was meant.

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

1 Peter 3:10-12

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

Psalm 34:11-16

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Peter 1:15-16
For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
Leviticus 11:45

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 Peter 1:24-25

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Isaiah 40:6-8

That's just a few in a short section of the NT. But there's so many and we know our Lord is the same and ultimately His ways remain the same in many ways. So let us keep walking in them.

Hold fast sisters and keep growing and standing where the Lord has called you! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (23 August 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I am back again as the Lord granted me life and all the many things it takes to be here again! His truth is not popular so what I am sharing isn't either but we do all things unto the Lord and nothing in Him or about Him or for Him is in vain!

As our Lord and Master pleased His Father may we also.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
John 8:29

So I am sharing some encouragement for us to keep seeking His will and to walk worthy and in a manner acceptable and pleasing to God. We women have some specific commands also that apply to us don't we so let us seek those diligently too! And it is all by following His ways so there is no glory to man and it is simply what we are supposed to be doing!

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
1 Thessalonians 4:1

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Hebrews 13:16

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1 John 3:22

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Colossians 1:10

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:36

For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
2 Corinthians 10:18

Paul even told Timothy to strive to be approved of God and indeed we are to fight and labour for that eternal prize too!

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

Let us be found faithful in the life we have and do our best in it. We surely will be judged by the opportunities we do have and each of our lives will be different. Let us press on in such a faithless generation where so very few want the whole truth. May we not be discouraged but know the world is in His hands.

Hold fast sisters and let us look to our great God who is our strength and hope and peace and joy! I hope you are going well in the lives the Lord has given you and seeking contentment in it! Love, mercy, and peace to you in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ our Saviour!

Greetings sister saints!

I hope you're pressing on in the life the Lord has for you! I'm here again to ponder on the Lord and His truth and share together. We are to keep our hearts and minds on Him and the things above!

Let us continue to seek and abide in sound doctrine which is the truth and Jesus is the truth and He saves us as we follow Him and the ways He teaches us.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
1 Timothy 4:16

Let us hold fast to the truth!

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:21

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:13

This is all worth striving for and not the vain things of this world and what we were once entangled with.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Hebrews 10:23-24

The truth is always true freedom!

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32

So press on my sisters in the works before you and let us keep seeking to walk in His ways...all of them! Love to you.

Greetings sisters!

Here's another day to share in the Lord and edify!

I hope whatever I share each day can be encouraging one way or another! God has given us a lot to help us through this troubled world.

Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
Proverbs 12:25

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
Proverbs 25:11

God's word is our best encouragement isn't it and fills us with hope if we are faithful to Him having turned from our own ways and continue to do so. God's promises are often very conditional aren't they though some aren't.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

Abounding in hope...what a precious gift despite all what has happened with man falling into sin. We don't deserve any good thing but God is good.

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15

Amen! And let us keep our heart and minds on Him through this world and all its trials and tribulations.

So strive on my sisters in the Lord. Don't grow weary in any good work! Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name.

Greetings sister saints!

God gave another day to edify in the Lord and His truth. I hope you're doing well sisters!

I was pondering on how we practice living peaceably with all as much as lies with us. When you are around children sometimes you need to intervene in mediating between siblings to restore peace. But we adults too, ones born of His Spirit, have a high calling to live up to in this area. It is clear we are to live in a manner as not to stir up strife or anger or disturb the peace unnecessarily. Of course this never means we go along with sin. Nor does it mean we never discuss truth or share truth in the correct manner but His Word guides us a lot in this! His ways guide us to be different from the world and the flesh.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Matthew 5:9

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Proverbs 15:1-2

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 6:16-19

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:18-21

There's so many more scriptures on a variety of similar things. His Word is always good to show us the way to walk in, encouraging us to keep going or convict us to do better. The Lord help us! Keep striving on in the truth sisters. Love to you in His name.
