Today's Edification (17 January 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

2 Peter 1:2-10

There's a lot in that scripture to dig through and meditate on. It speaks of diligence and how when we put on those godly qualities we will not be unfruitful. And it speaks of great and precious promises! And indeed He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. He has done all things He can for us! In fact I just heard this scripture and it's a good one showing all He has done for Israel and how they still didn't bring forth good fruit.

Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?

And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:

And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

Isaiah 5:1-7

May we bring forth fruit unto Him in His grace and mercy.

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
 Romans 7:4

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Luke 8:15

I was pondering this lately about what actually motivates each of us to get out of bed in the morning and do a day all over again? It's a good question. For some it may be hungry children to feed, for others a job to get to on time, for others working before the heat of the day, or needing to find some food, or just a lot of things that need immediate attention. But if there were none of those urgent things, what encourages us to get out of a cozy bed and start the day? It's good to ponder and I would say thinking about the Lord and His goodness is and should be a very large reason for all us! And of course no matter what duties we have, remembering His commands and what pleases Him is also why too. So I guess there's a lot that actually guides how we do things and why and when etc!

A sister sent me some encouragement this morning about how worthy the Lord is and indeed that should get us motivated to press on with more zeal for Him in the good works He has for us don't you agree sisters? He is so worthy to keep doing all we have over and over again serving Him and others and pressing on for the kingdom not growing weary. We have time to redeem as well and if you're blessed with a lot of different good works to do there's always those to work on!

And think of all the blessings we sisters have in the Lord too! We not only have food and raiment which are very important necessary blessings but so much more especially spiritual blessings in Christ! How can we not be thankful!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Indeed life is a gift and so are health and strength. We want to be faithful with them and yet know anything we have may be taken away at any time and we still want to be faithful to Him as it can't be all the blessings that keep us close to Him but God Himself.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Job 1:20-22

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Psalm 73:25-26

I was pondering too how sin has consequences...big and often horrendous ones. It did for Eve. It did for the people in the Flood. It did for the children of Israel in the wilderness. It did for David. It did for Ananias and Sapphira. The wages of sin is ultimately death. But there are other consequences as well. And we know repentance can change that though so there is hope! We know being washed in Christ's blood does forgive sins. This is a most precious gift and indeed Jesus is the only way of escaping the wages of sin. There may still be physical consequences no doubt but God is so merciful to offer cleansing in our Saviour!

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Hebrews 6:18-19

Therefore we have so much hope sisters! But we never want to tempt our Lord nor sin against Him. We want to please Him and strive to walk worthy of Him as He is so worthy! So may we press on sisters, hoping in His grace and mercy and doing that which is well pleasing in His sight.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Greet one another with an holy kiss. All the saints salute you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:11-14

Salutations to my godly sisters!

One more day we get to be God's servants! That is the main thing about us...we are His servants and children and are concerned with serving and obeying Him!

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Luke 4:8

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:17-18

It is an honour and a blessing to be able to serve such a wonderful God! And the inheritance to come is precious. May we strive on to be accounted worthy.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:3-4

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Ephesians 1:18-19

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Acts 26:18

Very great things He has prepared for those who love Him!

May we sisters keep labouring in good works and earning our right to eat what the Lord has provided...

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

2 Thessalonians 3:10-13

So may we keep on walking in the truth steadfastly sisters. And that involves doing our daily duties with thankfulness and contentment and not growing weary in them as it's pleasing to the Lord to be doing them! We don't want to be doing things grudgingly and we need to beat our flesh into submission if we have some of those thoughts as I am sure we will at times. But we may think of what a wonderful Lord we serve and do so with joy even in the every day repetitive chores!

May all our steps, all our hands do, what we say and what we write be pleasing to our Lord!

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1-2

For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Romans 14:18

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:10

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5

For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
1 Peter 2:20

Yes we must be acceptable to our Lord. Let us strive to walk worthy! He is so worthy! Press on one more day sisters! A lifetime of faithfulness will be made up of individual days of it. And yes some days may be better than others and such but we want to be holding fast and growing and overcoming so we will be found faithful when it's our last day. Will we have regrets? Oh yes I know our Saviour is so much more worthy than we can ever give Him glory for and the debt He paid is something we never could begin to pay off but we must do our best to obey Him and He sees if we are and knows our hearts. So strive on steadfastly sisters as good soldiers of His!

Love, peace, and mercy unto you.

Hello sisters!

By God's grace and mercy I am back here again! And you too if you're reading this! Let us rejoice and be glad in Him and His goodness!

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Lamentations 3:21-25

I hope you're all strong and striving on in the Lord...in His strength!

Time for a picture catch up post I think! It seems time goes by so fast as it must be already two weeks since my last catch up one. And it's already half way through the first month of the year! May we keep redeeming the time wisely and in good works.

Thought the pears look like little lanterns in the tree! Very fruitful it is just as we want to be in the faith.

That's such bright summer sunshine too! Almost makes your eyes water just looking at that picture! Even small young trees are bearing much fruit here.

Does bring to mind this scripture actually and we still have a big responsibility even if we are young physically and even in the Lord.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

One huge pumpkin plant that is still growing! Couldn't have those in a small garden! Amazing how fast things can grow! And it's all cell by cell. Indeed the little things matter!

Water is so refreshing on a hot day! Simple pleasures and blessings.

Thought the baby pumpkin was cute...

Good blessings the Lord created for food for mankind!

I would share!

The last of the potatoes for now...

And I love to use even the tiniest ones and was thinking about these scriptures...

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
James 5:7
The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
Proverbs 12:27

It is good to be thankful for and use everything the Lord provides and not waste anything if possible. It mentions them being precious.

There's been green apples falling off the tree so I made some apple sauce today...

And used some of it in muffins...

There's usually some kind of use for things even if you can't eat them raw.

I had a busy period of extra cleaning jobs lately which is a blessing too. This one had a nice ocean view...

And the particular woman at that job was extra curious about me and asking all kinds of questions, so naturally that includes my faith. But she was extra happy to have me come back as her new cleaner and even paid me extra so it's always interesting seeing how people react. Of course being in someone else's home you do have to be respectful and considerate but she was asking the questions including if I was Mennonite so I got to give quite a few simple answers to all her questions. She thought it was a good thing that I was standing for what I believe. But no matter when, you're always on duty to be His witness. That is a 24/7 great responsibility we have. May the Lord help us shine His light.

After that I had a bit of extra time before my next job and so got to go to the ocean for a bit. And it was a nice quiet rocky spot and not the type of sandy beach that wouldn't be wise to go to on a warm summer's day.

Always different little creations to see...

Many blessings can be in a simple picture!

Been sewing some more too.

I was able to learn how to do partial button front skirts and shirts so that should be useful ahead.

Fabric scraps are good for practicing on...

I'm thankful to have a variety of things to keep occupied in!

There was an aurora one night and while it's not what the human eye sees it like, it's still there and a beautiful part of His creation!

Thought this lizard was funny trying to make itself big and scary to me...

This was another lizard munching on a bird pecked peach I gave it...

So many different creatures all around the world that He made! And yes there's been a lot of these creatures around too...

That one was under a dog kennel so I had to carefully scare it away! They are one of the most poisonous snakes in the world so you have to tread carefully around here and be aware of your surroundings at all times.

And finally some pretty flowers I saw in a store...

So amazing the thousands of varieties He made! Glory to Him!

So that's what I have to share for now and Lord willing I will keep being able to share here daily and keep going about my works here too. It is not to be taken forgranted all we can do. Keep going in your duties sisters!

I leave with this scripture and encourage us all to do the same...

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
Acts 11:23

Yes may we cleave to the Lord with purpose of heart! Hold fast sisters and strive on as good soldiers in the fight of faith! Love to you.

Today's Edification (14 January 2025)

Greetings again sister saints!

I am back to share good pure and true things in the Lord! I hope it's edifying as that's what we are to be about one to another! It is building each other up in the truth, not in the world or vain things, nor tearing down but building up in the Lord!

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Ephesians 4:29
Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
1 Corinthians 14:12
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:19

I hope you're all pressing on for the kingdom! Heard this scripture today and it's another reminder that it's not physical battles or such affairs that we fight or get entangled in but spiritual ones which we must fight and overcome to the end to be saved.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:12-13

And as Jesus said...

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
John 18:36

And we are soldiers of Christ...

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
2 Timothy 2:3-4

Let us keep fighting the good fight of faith!

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
John 6:51

I'm so thankful He gave His own flesh for the life of the world. And He shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Matthew 26:28

Indeed He came so we might have life more abundantly!

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10

We are in this world and we cannot escape from it. But it is good to know we are not defiled by what we see and hear or are physically near as we walk through this world and need to have dealings with others. But what we do does defile us...or not.

And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Mark 7:20-23

So let us keep ourselves from commiting sin, set apart unto our God and being lights in a dark world.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
John 17:15

This is a good scripture to guide us as well...

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

1 Corinthians 5:6-13

His Word is our guide and what we live by...every word.

I heard this scripture which stood out too...

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Philippians 4:5

It is to be well known our 'moderation' which doesn't appear to be exactly the word we know it today, you can look up the definition, but it's just good to ponder on. These scriptures are the same word...

Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
1 Peter 2:18

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 3:2

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17

If everyone is meant to know that about us then it must be important! So let us keep seeking His good ways to walk in! He is our Creator and we submit to His ways. We are not our own but bought with a price! He is our Master.

Peace, mercy, and love to my sisters who obey Him in meekness and godly fear. Hold fast to the truth!

Greetings sister saints!

One more day to live for the one who died for us to give us life! And we also die to ourselves and live unto Him! We are crucified with Him and risen to new life with Him!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

I always think it's ironic how it says they killed the Prince of life...

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
Acts 3:14-15

Yet we know He laid down His life Himself and no man took it from Him. He is in control!

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

John 10:17-18

How thankful we are He surrendered to the Father's will to go through it all for us. And it was a lot to go through for sure. May we keep hoping in Him as He is our one and only hope...there is no Saviour besides Him.

Sharing some scriptures on seeking the Lord and there's some promises there as well for those who seek Him!

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalm 9:10

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
Psalm 34:10

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
Psalm 40:16

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psalm 63:1

The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
Psalm 69:32

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD
Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Psalm 105:3-4

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
Psalm 119:2

May we keep seeking Him and His kingdom and righteousness sisters! May we walk in the light of Christ that we stumble not. Peace, love, and mercy to you, in His name.

Salutations to my sisters in the Lord!

I really hope you're all striving on in the faith. It is such a joy to hear of anyone holding fast to the faith and not denying His name and truth in this dark world filled with compromise and sin.

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Revelation 3:8

We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
Colossians 1:3-4

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
Ephesians 1:15-16

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

1 Thessalonians 3:5-9

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:3-4

It is a great joy for us to hear of, so I can understand how the Lord is pleased with His obedient children!

How are we all doing? Are there things the Lord is convicting us about that we need to address? May we be always humble and have willing hearts and listening ears to His word of truth as we have many responsibilities now that we know the truth and have opportunity to seek it out.

As Jesus said...

"For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."
(Luke 12:48b)

How are we redeeming the time? Minutes matter. Are we faithful in little?

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
Luke 16:10

There will and should always be a mixture of fear of God and confidence, and good cheer and sorrow, and soberness and rejoicing, and many things in this faith life. We find that is the way in the Word.

Let us be diligent to be found of Him in peace...

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14

We must be diligent spiritually as well as physically.

By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
Ecclesiastes 10:18

I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.

Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

Proverbs 24:30-34

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Proverbs 6:6

This scripture came to mind and it's a good one for us women of having unfeigned faith...

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
2 Timothy 1:5

I'm sure Timothy's mother was a great influence on him.

Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
Acts 16:1-2

May we sisters continue faithful to the Lord our God and in every good work that we have opportunity for. And if any of you sisters are mothers you can be a great influence on your children and in raising them in the Lord! It is good works!

This stood out to me as quite a statement of how much more glorious Christ is...

For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
Hebrews 3:3

I love thinking about the Lord being our hiding place!

Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

Psalm 119:114-117

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Psalm 32:7-11

May He be our shelter through this dark world.

And may we love His Word and treasure it and obey it.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

Psalm 119:127-129

Sometimes phrases of scripture come to mind and I was thinking of how it says "in wrath remember mercy". We know God's wrath is real and just but we also hope in His precious mercy and grace. He is good to His children.

Another phrase that was in my mind is the one that says "strong is the Lord that judges her". (And I'm sure you can find the contexts if you want to) Indeed no one will be able to escape in their own power from Him. His power is so incredible that nothing is impossible to Him and yet He is gentle and kind and caring with His children, His sheep.

Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Isaiah 40:10-11

Just sharing all sorts of bits and pieces today. I had a quieter day so that was nice and more time to be in the Word too! Hopefully it's edifying as His Word is!

Amen!

Keep fighting the good fight of faith sisters! My love be with you, my beloved sisters who walk in the truth. A sister hug to you as well. Peace to you.

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Numbers 6:24-26
