Today's Edification (11 July 2026)

Hello again sisters!

May our trust be fully in the Lord as we start each day! How blessed we are to have Someone so mighty and strong and good to be our help and shield! He is a rock for us!

In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.
Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
Psalm 31:1-5

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
Psalm 27:5

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

We can keep walking by faith in Him into an unknown future. We shall have much tribulation on this earth we know, but our Saviour has overcome it so we can take courage in that! Fight on, sisters!

Today's Edification (10 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

Glory be unto our great God on this day and forever!

The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 4:10-11

One day He is going to get the praise and glory He deserves.

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Revelation 5:9-10

He is holy, and pure, and good. There is so much evil in this world. May His kingdom come soon.

I have had a busy day so will go get some rest that the Lord gives. I'm sure you sisters have busier and quieter days. But it is a blessing to be able to work with our hands in good things. We are to occupy till He comes and not be lazy. I will share this scripture passage as it is a good one about this.

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

Today's Edification (9 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

Another day of hope in our Lord is here! By faith, we wait for Him from heaven and keep occupied in good works He has called us to! We are to keep ourselves unspotted from this world too. It's something that is always in our face so to speak and we have to make many decisions as to where we draw the line of how far we go in it. Of course there's things that are obviously sinful but then other things that could fall into the lusts of the flesh that we need to be careful of too. For example, we need food to survive and thrive, but we all know there is way too much of it in many places in this world. And there are also things that our flesh may enjoy the taste of but it's useless and even damaging to the body which is the temple of the Spirit. So there are things to deny ourselves of. But we thank God for providing our daily food and other needs!

These scriptures come to mind too...

Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
Ecclesiastes 10:17

When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.
Proverbs 23:1-3

Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
Proverbs 25:16

His Word is our guide through this world.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Today's Edification (8 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

Our God is great and we get to serve Him one more day!

I'm sharing a few sections from the Proverbs 31 woman example to encourage us to press on too!

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:13,17,25-27

She's definitely hard working and presses on in all her labours.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:9-10

Yes we humans are weak and limited compared to our great God but His Word is encouraging to help press us on as we pilgrim through this world.

I was thinking how we are to lay our lives down for the brethren. But there's no doubt much that leads up to that in everyday acts that we do. We are to do good to all people of course too, including our enemies and those that hate us.

These scriptures also help us in what we are to be doing.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:10

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Philippians 2:3-4

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Galatians 5:13-14

These are His ways that we strive for! May we keep going in as much as we can do. We are limited and can only be in one place at a time but may we be strengthened in the Lord to keep going in what's in front of us each day!

Today's Edification (7 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

Another day of hope in our Lord! Let's press on today and be looking for His coming!

Our God is good and He gave us His best.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:16-18

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
John 15:12-14

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

May we keep our focus on Him and His goodness! And His Word helps correct our thinking as we go through our days. Because His ways are good they always bring peace when we obey them, don't they sisters. Yes it may be hard and we fight our flesh, but we focus on the Lord and His rewards to come and also fear Him. He has given us all we need to overcome! Let us do our best for Him with His help in thankful hearts. He has done so much for us whereof we are glad!

Today's Edification (6 July 2026)

Hello sisters!

I get to drop in again here in the Lord. In Him we have much to be grateful for, and can go forth in our days with thankful hearts no matter what! We are the most blessed people on earth!

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psalm 103:1-2

These are good scriptures which show us the truth...

For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
Psalm 125:3-4

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

May we continue to do that which is right according to God! We must continue in the faith and obedience to the end to be delivered. And praise God there is hope for even the chief of sinners! God is good!

Today's Edification (5 July 2026)

Hello sisters!

To God be the glory for all He has done today and forever! I hope this finds you pressing on in the faith again and loving Him above all and ready for His coming. And of course I am talking to myself here too. It is only because of His goodness that we can have hope to keep pressing on and doing better. We know He is a merciful and forgiving God which is why we can keep going to Him. There is so much hopelessness in this world outside of Christ, but rejoice in hope today, sisters, and keep striving for the truth!

For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Colossians 1:5

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Psalm 43:5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:3-4

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1 Peter 1:13

While it can be really puzzling why people don't obey the truth once they know it and flee from God's wrath, you just have to leave people in God's hands honestly. We can do so little or nothing to change people. They need God's Word, His Spirit, and a willing heart to surrender to Him. But we do need to make sure we ourselves are in the truth. That is what we can control. And we need to also guard carefully against any hypocrisy as it can be really subtle as well. It may be easy to see what others are doing wrong but how about ourselves. And we also know our heart and what it could be if we didn't have the Lord and His Word to guide us. We would be there too. It keeps us humble and knowing we are what we are only by the grace of God.

What Jesus said to Peter can help us mind our own business where we should...

Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
John 21:21-22

May we keep our focus on following, pleasing, and loving Him!

I find this scripture encouraging too...

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Hebrews 11:24-26

Today's Edification (4 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

Grace, mercy, and peace to you in Jesus our Lord! It is a new day of His mercies! Just because we get a new day or the many things we get in it over and over, doesn't mean we deserve or want to take them for granted, does it! No, they are His mercies over mankind and when there is death and destruction that is what we all deserve. Sin is serious and it has consequences. But God...

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:4-10

Only a good God would bring redemption out of hopelessness!

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Lamentations 3:21-26

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Matthew 5:43-48

These scriptures are just so good! They are our authority. It is refreshing to know the way and what pleases our Creator! His truth makes us free and gives us peace. We trust all people and situations into His hands knowing He sees and knows all things.

Love unto you in Jesus our Lord. He first loved us and laid down His own life for us. Everything good is of Him and for His glory!

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
Psalm 115:1

Today's Edification (3 July 2026)

Hello sisters!

I get to drop in here again as the Lord granted. Hopefully you're pressing on in the faith in your corner of the earth!

I'm sharing a few scriptures today on what is profitable and what is not.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:24-26

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
2 Timothy 2:14

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? Hebrews 12:9-11

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
1 Timothy 4:8

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
James 2:14-17

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Titus 3:8

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Praise God to know what is profitable and what is not. And we need to keep evaluating how we spend our time on a daily basis as well. And while this world is passing away we are to work and not be lazy. It reminds me too of Ecclesiastes where it talks about the vanity of many things. May we strive for that which eternal and obey the Lord in all our earthly duties as well.

Today's Edification (2 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

I am back again on another day the Lord granted. I hope you are pressing on faithfully right where the Lord has you! It's rainy and cold here but it's winter and God is merciful to water the land! It needs it so much after a hot dry summer! It is refreshing and restful to the land and plants...and us humans who use food grown off the land.

I'm sharing some scriptures on comfort! It is a blessing we can have it in the Lord!

Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:2-5

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
2 Thessalonians 2:15-17

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
2 Corinthians 13:11

It would honestly be most horrible to not know the Lord! But we do, so let us stay close to Him in an evil time and keep walking by faith. We can overcome to the end as He has overcome the world! His Word and Spirit guide us!

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:26-27

Today's Edification (1 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

I'm back again on this new day and month that the Lord gave! This is the day we have and let's do our best in it! The past is gone and we don't know how much time on this earth we get, but we do know what the future is for those who love Him! And for that we press on for! As brother Paul said, "Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth to those which are before". Jesus also said, "No man having put his hand to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God". It is good to let the past go, though learn what we can and focus on today and our Lord and His kingdom to come!

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In Christ we are new creatures, forgiven and washed clean in His blood! Glory to God!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

So our hope is ahead, so we look in that direction! Of course we have His written word which is much which happened in the past and we remember His death until we come. The past is important but there are some things we need to overlook to strive on for the kingdom!

And we must forgive in order to be forgiven by God! And when we remember how serious sin is against such a holy God and that we have been forgiven even that, then it makes any wrong doings people do against us seem puny. Jesus forgave His torturers too and so we can forgive all of our fellow humans where needed.

May we keep seeking and pressing on in the truth, sisters! It makes us free indeed!

Today's Edification (30 June 2026)

Greetings sisters!

I hope this post finds you well and pressing on in the faith and all the Lord has given you.

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24

That's encouraging isn't it! It also reminds me of this one...

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Let us be renewed with zeal to do good unto all!

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

And if we are so blessed as to know of other believers we are to focus on doing good to them. But God knows the opportunities we do and don't have! We need to focus on being faithful with what we have and content and thankful.

Another month has come to an end! Time moves on steadily for sure. And it's time for me to drop off pictures here. Hopefully they're just encouraging or edifying and most of all God-glorifying in some way or another!

Lots of general garden pictures. It's just nice to see things growing! Not everything does well and there's always creatures out to get things and unfavourable conditions where some things don't thrive, so it is a blessing and refreshing when things do grow! God is merciful and good to allow us such good things!

He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

Psalm 104:13-15

So much weeding to be done this time of year!

Finally picked all the pumpkins. 34 more to be exact. There's been a few really mild frosts but the vines were still going a bit. So that's around 70 or so pumpkins for the year! Have to give some away!

Yes He is good to provide food for mankind!

It is satisfying using the fruit of your labours!

I'm trying to use the pumpkin seeds too. It's easy to roast them in the oven with a bit of salt and oil or whatever seasonings you like.

My latest adventure is yoghurt and kefir making.

Regular 'greek' yoghurt...

And also you can grow particular strains of bacteria with different health benefits so that's interesting too! I'm literally farming germs! Good creations and food God made! It's also interesting to think that our human bodies are made up of so many other creatures as well. But God made us and all the members and creatures working together!

I got some free kefir grains that a lady was giving away, so now it will be an almost daily process for me, Lord willing. But it's so easy and the health benefits are great.

Amazing all the different things God made!

Here's some more sauerkraut too. I hope to post a recipe here soon...which will also help me remember as some of the recipes online seem complex and I want to make it super simple which it really is.

My little place on this earth that I currently call 'home' and where I write my blog posts from. Having shelter and a place to live is such an extra blessing! I'm thankful!

God made so many unique and beautiful things!

We have been blessed with more rain but yeah not driving through that!

Been some beautiful sunny winter days here in between cold and cloudy ones.

Simply stunning! Glory to God!

And that is all I have in pictures for another month. We don't know how many more months or days we have left, so let us make good use of our time right now. (I'm linking last month's picture post here too. It kind of ends up as a diary for me too!)

Keep going strong and faithfully in whatever the Lord has given you where you are, sisters! The Lord sees! He will judge all one day and it will be according to our works. May we be abiding in Christ the Vine and bearing much good fruit for His glory!
