Today's Edification (7 August 2026)

Hello sisters!

God granted me another day to write here. So much in that not to take for granted. This world is a troubled one, because humans disobeyed God and ate of the forbidden fruit. There is much suffering and death. But there are still so many of His mercies on earth! His sunshine and rain are two, as well as food and clothing. But most of all are our spiritual blessings in Christ and the hope of eternal life in a better place to come!

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:13-18

You can forget the seriousness of sin if you think there shouldn't be so much suffering on this earth. God created us and everything and man has rebelled greatly against Him. May we fear Him and do that which He has created us to do!

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:4-10

Christ brought hope to a hopeless situation. Glory to God for such a Saviour!

And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Genesis 8:20-22

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Luke 2:10-14

May His coming cause the appropriate response in us where we turn our lives fully to Him with grateful humble holy hearts. He is worthy!

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Revelation 5:11-13

Love, mercy, and peace to you in Jesus our Lord.

Today's Edification (6 August 2026)

Hello sisters!

I get to drop in briefly on a busy day! Some days or seasons are just extra busy or tiring but through it all the Lord sustains us.

It is always good to ponder His grace and how precious it is in our lives. Just thinking of it is encouraging!

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

God's grace is enough for us. Without it we are most lost and hopeless! But glory to His name we have hope through grace!

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Romans 3:24-25

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:11-14

Keep pressing on to be faithful where you are sisters!

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 3:18

Today's Edification (5 August 2026)

Hello sisters!

I'm back to edify in the Lord and His ways! I hope you're pressing on faithfully where you are!

I'm sharing some good scriptures of God's ways for us to walk in...

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Galatians 5:13

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:10-12

Serving/ministering surely are to be what we are to be about. It's good to reflect on our lives and how we are going. We are not our own but the Lord's and to be helping others in various ways and in the opportunities we do have.

Christ is our perfect example to look to!

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 20:25-28

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2:2-8

What a great and precious Saviour we have who did all this! He laid down His life, the just for the unjust. How great forgiveness and love is that!

As in many things, there's always deeper ways for us to grow in our understanding and practice of His Word, and this is no exception. We know we must also fight the flesh which wants to do what's easiest and what we feel like. How blessed we are to have His Word as our guide!

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105

May we be doers of it and not hearers only. The Lord help us!

Love, mercy, and peace unto you in Christ our Lord.

Greetings sisters!

God granted me another day to live for Him!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

1 Peter 1:3-9

That is a wonderful uplifting scripture! God and His Son Jesus Christ are our hope! No matter what goes on in our lives, we can look to Him and be encouraged and filled with hope to keep pressing on! Our God cannot lie and He has promised eternal life to those who love and obey Him through His Son!

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Titus 1:2

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
1 John 2:25

So let us always hope in Him and keep pressing on!

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Psalm 43:5

May we endure hardness as good soldiers of His! We have so many blessings and riches in the Lord. This world is so lost and dark and hopeless but Jesus is our only hope!

Love, mercy, and peace unto you in His name.

Hello sisters!

Praise God for a new day to live in Christ! He is our glorious Saviour who we can rejoice in every day no matter what! I hope you are holding fast wherever the Lord has you!

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Hebrews 10:23

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:1

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:21

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2 Thessalonians 2:15

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:13

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-16

Let us hold fast and be salt and light where the Lord has us with His help! With the Lord on our side who can be against us?!

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13

Strive on, sisters!

Love, mercy, and peace in Christ.

Today's Edification (2 August 2026)

Greetings sisters!

Glory to God for another day of His mercies! He is the reason we live. Indeed, we are not our own.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:17

And we can learn what we can from these two passages despite a somewhat different context...

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Ephesians 6:5-8

Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Colossians 3:22-25

It also does remind me of this...

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:40

It's quite a different perspective of what we do then, isn't it. There's much more to what we see. So may we press on in the work the Lord has set before us and the lives we have with different people in them and around us. We will be judged according to the lives we did have. May we seek to be faithful in them with His help!

Strive on like good soldiers of the Lord, sisters!

Love, mercy, and peace unto you in Jesus' name.

Today's Edification (1 August 2026)

Hello sisters!

I'm back on a new day and month the Lord granted! His mercies are new every morning. I got to go for a morning walk to get my day started today. Something extra beautiful when the sun is shining especially in winter! The birds are happy and there's so many flowers popping out with buzzing bees in them! God's earth and universe keeps doing what He wants it to until He says!

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22

I'm sharing this scripture because it's good. A great picture of the character and spirit we are to be of. May He help us!

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 5:3-12

Beautiful ways of God! It would be a wonderful world if everyone lived like that!

These are good too...

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:12-15

May we keep striving for these with His help!

Love in Christ.

Greetings sisters!

I trust you're all pressing on strong in the Lord wherever you are!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-13

God sees and knows where all His saints are on this earth! Let us keep faithful where we are!

Another month has slipped by! It is time for a picture catch up post from me then too! Time really does pass rather quickly. It's just sobering to stop and think about and how our life will be over and past just like all the generations before us. They have returned to dust physically but their spirits continue in eternity. Yes we wait for our Lord's return, but we do not know when that will be, so we keep occupying in what callings He has given to us. But we do need to be ready to meet Him at all times. That of course should be our priority in life. He is worthy to be obeyed and glorified!

There's mostly a lot of creation pictures here for God's glory!

Pretty 'autumn' leaves in winter...

Sunny days in winter can be so beautiful!

Such a huge mushroom! It looks smaller than it actually was. An amazing creation!

Little garden critter...

The garden is still coming along, though growth is slowed in the cooler weather. But it is a blessing to be able to grow things through the winter! There's only been a few mild frosts...so far.

I have been doing so much weeding too. And now it is also time to be getting summer crops sown though in a warmer place than the garden.

The Lord is providing daily bread.

I had travels and helping duties with my nephews and niece. Some of them were quite sick and then I got it, or something bad anyway, so it's been really quite a full month indeed! Health is such a blessing!

I get glimpses of the ocean at some cleaning jobs. Though I usually can't stop and just look as I need to keep working steadily!

Yeah I do admit I really need to press through cleaning jobs, some more than others as yeah it's a lot of cleaning all at once! But I'm really thankful for them though and being able to support myself and not be a burden or sponge off other people when I don't need to. The Lord allowed me to buy my first car this month too so that should help me be more flexible and help where needed.

It is satisfying turning dirty places into shiny clean ones though!

And my clients really appreciate it greatly, so it helps them too, of course, even if they're paying for it. I'm glad I don't have to pay anyone to clean for me though.

I got some sewing finished too so I'm thankful for that.

I appreciate having quite a variety of things to work on! But being able to do everyday necessities is a huge blessing that we have the health and strength for.

There's so many rainbows this time of year, some small and some more brilliant like this one!

A beautiful start to the day. Glory to God!

Rain is such a blessing. They say it will be a drier season here but you never know and even if it is, we do not have anything to complain about. We have life very comfortable compared to many. Most of all we have a Saviour and hope laid up in heaven that we strive for!
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18

A peaceful ending to a day...

So beautiful and good are His creations.

So that's it for pictures for another month. Only the Lord knows what the next one will hold and we trust it to Him. If He wills, I will continue to post edifying here daily. Keep striving on in your own duties as unto the Lord, sisters!

Love, mercy, and peace unto you in Jesus our Lord.

Today's Edification (30 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are settled in the Lord in peace and hope and joy. Praise God that we can take our cares to Him and be grounded in Him as our Rock!

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Romans 5:1

These are huge blessings indeed!

I was reading this scripture and it's one we really want to keep in mind.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:14-15

No one can say there isn't conditions to salvation. There clearly is. But as Jesus also told us, we compare the great debt of Christ's forgiveness to us to the puny wrong doings our fellow humans may do to one another. It's incomparable really so we are blind if we cannot forgive one another!

I want to encourage you sisters to keep pressing on in whatever life the Lord gave you. Whether you are a wife or mother or a single person we all have different challenges but we each need to be faithful in what we have. May we not grow weary in any good thing, sisters! It is also just encouraging to know what pleases the Lord and be content in doing those things over and over!

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 4:1-2

Love unto you in Christ our Lord and Saviour.

Hello sisters!

The Lord granted me another day to be back and share in the truth! Yes, our days have many of the same things in them and one of them for me is writing my blog post. It's good to be thankful to be able to do normal life things as we have so much not to take for granted! Our lives are filled with many blessings! If we complain, we are very blind to them indeed. It displeases the Lord if we grumble and complain too of course. He has bestowed many mercies upon us.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 5:43-45

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

Isiah 63:7-9

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Ephesians 2:4-5

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

Psalm 103:8-13

We clearly see His great mercy shown to us in Christ and all He did for us! How can we ever complain or think we have anything to complain about! Yes, there will always be situations and circumstances that we don't care for and that are hard, but through them all we hope in Christ our Lord and have joy and hope!

Keep pressing on in all your daily duties, sisters! There are a lot of physical labours to work in and we know the Lord is pleased that we do these diligently and not be lazy.

Love in Christ.

Today's Edification (28 July 2026)

Greetings sisters!

The Lord granted me another day on this earth, and you too! We have so much not to take for granted, so many blessings and good things we don't deserve. Yes there are trials and pain and sorrows but despite that we still have hope and joy in Christ who is our Saviour!

I'm sharing some good scriptures on what we are to be, especially on meekness.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1 Peter 5:5-6

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:1-3

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter 3:15

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Galatians 6:1

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2 Timothy 2:24-25

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 3:1-2

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

1 Peter 3:1-4

Definitely good to reflect on in our lives as it is clearly shown the character and spirit we are to have. And we look for that trait in other believers also. Meekness is one of many we are to have. It is a blessing to have so much guidance from His Word!

Hold fast where you are sisters and keep striving on in the faith of Jesus!

Love, mercy, and peace to you in His name.
