Greetings sisters!
Here is another day the Lord gave me. And one thing I can do in my day is to come here to share in the Lord and all good and pure and true things.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Philippians 4:8
Another month and season is over! And it's time for a picture catch up post. Time can go by so fast can't it. So let us redeem it in good things sisters. I'm sure you're occupying in many useful things too! Keep going in all good things sisters! The Lord sees us. Dark are the times but His saints are out there doing good things, few though they may be and many may be the evil works around us.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15-17
A lot of gardening going on lately. It's that time of year when you get excited to put in spring vegetables etc! Pretty much the end of the winter crops too. It's just amazing how such beautiful things can grow from the soil for our food! Glory to God!
Having to think of many different ways to use it. It's always a blessing when things make it through to harvest through all the pests and predators or lack of moisture or nutrients etc.
Maybe I can share the recipe one day!
Some potatoes survived through the whole winter!
Such good blessings from the soil.
I wrecked my back pretty good after many days of weeding but I'm thankful it seems to have recovered and I'll just have to be more careful. We humans are so limited and we can't always do the things we need to or want to. Just have to take things slow and patient sometimes.
I would share this treat if I could! It's peanut butter fudge.
All you need is 1 cup peanut butter, 1/4 cup melted coconut oil, and 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup. It stores in the freezer. (Can add vanilla and a sprinkle of salt too.)
I'm still traveling most weeks to help at the children's.Lots of helping went on here from little ones...
To make these sourdough caramelized onion scrolls. They're so good!
I did a lot of big batches of meals for the freezer too.
Took some children on a walk on the farm so their mum could try to nap...
I got to rest outside under a tree a couple times. It was really nice and peaceful with the sun shining and lovely breeze.
Just something so simple and beautiful about it. Good pure and true blessings from the Lord. His mercies are clearly seen in sunshine and rain. He is good!
Youngest child was sad one day after he woke up from his nap. (They had a bad cold.) So I was tasked to take him outside to see the ride-on mower. That cheered him up as he sat on it for awhile. And then we found some soft grass to sit on in the sunshine. I thought he would be bored. But no he loved it and I did too as it was peaceful. "So soft" he would say and run his hand over the grass. We studied grass and talked about it all and the different types. "Dat's cohver" he would keep saying as he picked clover leaves for me:) Precious and sweet. He wasn't grasping the concept of shadows though:)
I thought this little grass plant was cute.
So many tiny things make up a beautiful big carpet of grass! There's always something to see and marvel at in His creations! Lots in fact!
This is a puzzle my niece made for me:)So precious are the little ones.
Still working on cleaning jobs too. Lots of windows in this one.
They definitely needed it as this before and after picture shows...
I was using a store-bought window cleaner spray as well as a home-made one and honestly I think I prefer the home made one better. Maybe I can share the recipe here sometime. But you can find some online. It's one which has cornflour in it! Windows are not easy to get streak free as I am sure you know! Well unless you're a professional window cleaner who knows how to wield a squeegee properly and I am not!
Had to clean this old train carriage house someone had out the back of their house too. Interesting.
Unique looking fungi or lichen creation...
Glory to God for all good things in this world!
So I think that's all for this post until next time I post pictures. And Lord willing I will keep dropping in daily for some edifying and sharing in the Lord our great God.
So keep pressing on in whatever life the Lord has given each of you! Be encouraged that all of God's sons and daughters are labouring in the life they have. We can pray that all His children will stand strong in these perilous times which can only be getting worse according to the scriptures and what we see happening and could happen. But the Lord's return only draws nearer! May we be of good courage and continue to press on with zeal in the faith! Hold fast sisters! Love to you in His name.
