Today's Edification (8 December 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

Another day is here for me to share in the Lord! I hope you're doing well and pressing on in hope and courage.

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
Colossians 1:2-6

Indeed we have been called to be saints...which means holy. Just something that is good to understand when we see the word saint. So I am writing to holy women, my sisters in Christ, made righteous by Christ and by abiding in Him, keeping His Word.

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Ephesians 1:4

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:11-14

Yes let us keep preparing for the time when this earth will be no more. We do not want to lay up treasures here for then our heart will be down here. And we know the Lord has given us blessings and He can take them away and we do not want our faith shaken. We would want to be strong like Job when he lost it all. May our Lord always be sufficient for us. And while we can take good care of what He has given us, we can hold it all loosely. And sometimes I think of Jesus' teachings for example about letting people take your stuff and not being concerned about it or asking it back. You can only do that if the Lord is sufficient for you and you know He will provide what we need.

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
Matthew 5:39-42

Yes may we be ready to be able to obey our Lord promptly if these situations arise. And may He give us wisdom and strength and help us to lay up treasures in heaven.

Keep pressing on in your labours sisters! I'm sure a lot of Titus 2 keeper of the home works are going on in your lives too. May we keep being diligent and content and thankful and all things we are to be. Lord willing I will write again tomorrow. Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (7 December 2025)

Hello sisters!

To God be the glory for all His goodness, mercy, love, grace, forgiveness and other blessings in our day today! There's always so much to be thankful for, and including many things that we cannot physically see which are of more value than our physical blessings too. That we have a Saviour is the most wonderful thing in our days! Yes there's always discouraging or hard things in this world but in the Lord alone is our lasting joy. As Jesus said, we can be of good cheer (courage) as He has overcome the world! He is our hope.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 John 3:3

Yes that is our responsibility to strive against sin and that which does not please Him and is of the flesh. We have a high calling and one to keep working on as indeed we are in a covenant with Him and want to do our part to be faithful to Him...unto death.

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:9-11

Let's keep working on that sisters, being guided by His Word and Spirit and our conscience as well. Fearing God will keep us from evil, and that is the beginning of wisdom. So let's be wise women in His sight.

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
Proverbs 16:6

The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Proverbs 14:27

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Proverbs 31:30-31

May we be ready and watching for our Lord at all times. We do not want to get caught up in this world and it's cares, lusts, and pleasures. We are to care about the people though and the Lord has given us much guidance on how to treat those without the body.

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1 Thessalonians 5:15

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
1 Thessalonians 3:12

Hold fast sisters and may we keep being patient and content in the work we have to do no matter how simple or repetitive they are! God sees! Love and mercy unto you in His name.

Today's Edification (6 December 2025)

Hello sisters!

A new day of His mercies is here. And I am back again too in the Lord. Hopefully you're enduring in the faith today and may He keep us all and give us what we need to stand faithful to Him in these perilous times.

I'm a bit late for my monthly picture post but I've been so busy and maybe don't have a whole lot to share. But either way I'm glad to be able to edify daily here and share what I can! I am sure all you sisters are keeping occupied in good things. It is a blessing having things to keep our hands busy.

We have been blessed with more rain and now the weather is warming up so there's a lot of growing going on in the garden.

That was earlier in the month and now it is time to harvest the onions. It is time to do so when they have flopped over.

It can be challenging finding a place to dry and store them all. I'm trying drying them under the new deck that got built on the house here. Hopefully no creatures will find them but hopefully they don't taste good to them, though we have had something nibble them before.

Most of the garlic is also ready for harvest...

Hopeful of a tomato and pumpkin harvest ahead. Fruit and vegetables sitting around outside really are quite vulnerable with all the things that could eat or destroy them! So you're just extra thankful when a harvest actually happens!

Quite a few of the fruit trees seem to be having a year off but there's still some which we need to put nets on. It's lots of work growing your own food...but it is a good and important one really.

I've been appreciating the sunflowers. We haven't grown any here in so long. They are just so amazing flowers He made. This picture is full of His creations with also the birds and sun and tiny crescent moon too. So beautiful.

His mercies are also manifest in a lovely sunny day; for He sends sunshine and rain on the good and the evil.

The Lord is providing and I am sure you're also doing a lot of cooking, sisters.

Luke 11:3

Yes the Lord provides all we need and so much more. We are to be content with food and raiment but we all have so many more blessings!

There is quite a lot about leaven in the Bible too and it's good to ponder.

Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
Matthew 13:33

And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Matthew 16:5-12

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
1 Corinthians 5:6-8

The Lord often teaches us spiritual lessons from physical things and it does make them easier to understand too!

My pictures are kind of randomly in here but either way I'm just dropping them here anyway.

These are unique flowers with big caps that pop off when they open. So amazing creations.

The mornings and evenings of days are just extra refreshing aren't they, especially on hot days.

So that's my pictures dropped off of my month gone by. Yes time is flying and we are to redeem it in good things that please Him. Let's keep doing that and seeking to grow and do better all the time! The Lord help us. Hold fast and keep striving where you are sisters! Let us be content where the Lord has called us and be strengthened in Him and be filled with joy and peace in believing.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:17-19

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Today's Edification (5 December 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I am dropping in to you again on a warm summer's day here but then it was quite cold in the evening. There's so much variety in His creations in all sorts of ways. He is surely an amazing and all powerful Creator! And I am glad to know Him and the ways He wants for His creatures, us!

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
1 John 3:22-24

It is clear from that which is written what the Lord wants from us. We have so much guidance from the Word, our consciences, and the Spirit that we know we can know the way He has for us. Yes there are many decisions and discernments we need to make through life, and things we will wonder what His will is for us, but let us ponder what His Word would teach us on them all. No it doesn't tell us every little thing but we must indeed pass everything we do through the test of His Word and apply His commands correctly, the best we can and He knows our hearts. May He help us and let us seek Him in humility and surrendered to His will.

Today's Edification (4 December 2025)

Hello again sisters!

I hope you're pressing on for the Lord wherever you are. We are children of light and not of the darkness around us. The Lord help us keep our lights bright in His truth and ways. May we be careful that they be not dimmed by sin and the ways of this world. May we fear the Lord and keep in His ways, reflecting His light as we do not have any of our own, for we have nothing in ourselves to boast in.

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Luke 12:35-37

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

His Word always says it best. We are so richly blessed to have as much guidance in His word as we do! Let us feed on it and live, being doers of it and not hearers only. Love, mercy, and peace unto you in His name, which is above every name!

Today's Edification (3 December 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here is another day for us to walk in truth and to seek first His kingdom and righteousness. And yes He has also commanded us to live righteous lives in His ways and cleansed by Christ's precious blood. So let's keep focusing on doing that.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
2 Corinthians 5:20-21

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24

Good scriptures to encourage us to keep living in His ways which are not very popular in this world. But they are so good and precious. Let us keep pressing on in the truth and ready for our Lord at all times. We do not want to be caught up in the cares of this life and unprepared. There is nothing worth losing our soul over. Hold fast where you are sisters! The Lord sees and knows His own.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2 Timothy 2:19

Mercy and love unto you in His name. I have been having some really busy days but Lord willing I will still be back again to edify here in the Lord.

Today's Edification (2 December 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here is another day in the Lord on whom we believe! We know the truth that He has come into this world as our Saviour! We have great confidence in this as our Lord is truth.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
2 Peter 1:16-19

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John 20:29-31

It's just encouraging that we can have full confidence in faith of all the truth that is written by His eyewitnesses. And so we, and all people, are without excuse.

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
Hebrews 2:1-4

So may we treasure the good news of Christ that we have heard and believed! I'm glad we can fully trust something in this ever changing fake world!

Today's Edification (1 December 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Time is moving on steadily. The last month of the year is here and eternity for each of us is closer. It just makes you reflect on life and how you're spending it, and to make sure you're ready.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Psalm 90:12

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15-17

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
Colossians 4:5

There is a lot about wisdom and time in those!

There may be a lot we don't like going on in the world and of course much that is plain sin but we are responsible for our own life. We need to focus on ourselves and be aware of hypocrisy and how easy it could be to slip into it. It may be easy to think and worry about what other people are doing but there's nothing we can do about it but instead focus on our own walk with the Lord. Focus on Him of course, but keep our own hearts with all diligence.

I sometimes think about envy and what it really is and looks like. It is clearly a work of the flesh and not of God, and we need to keep ourselves from it too of course.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
James 3:14-16

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
1 Corinthians 3:3

For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
2 Corinthians 12:20

There's more scriptures on it to show us it isn't good but it's another thing we want to keep ourselves from and test our hearts for including any subtle forms of it too. The Lord help us be purified and holy unto Him, walking in the fruits of the Spirit from above.

This is a good scripture to encourage us to be diligent.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2 Peter 1:5-10

Yes we must put in effort and indeed fight the good fight of faith.

Today's Edification (30 November 2025)

Greetings in Christ, sisters!

Hopefully you're holding fast in the truth in your corner of the earth! One day all shall come from the north and from the south, from the east and from the west and be gathered to His kingdom! But we must be walking worthy of it now indeed as many things will not be allowed to enter His kingdom. It is a pure and holy one.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Yes we are to be holy and pure unto our God, walking in all His ways and washed in the precious blood of the Lamb. It is all unto His glory of course as without Him we know how evil the heart of man is all over the world. All good things are from above.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1-2

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 John 3:2-3

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Matthew 5:8

So may we sisters keep seeking to keep ourselves pure and unspotted for our Lord. His Word is there to guide and correct us in it all, so we are so blessed!

Today's Edification (29 November 2025)

Hello sisters!

In God's mercy and grace I am back to edify in Him. Hopefully my sisters are still pressing on in the faith and all good works possible!

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

This scripture reminds me how we do good as we have opportunity. We all have different ones and different lives too so the Lord knows if we are doing our best. He sees us everywhere of course including when others don't. He is whom we please and live unto. But we do please people too in the work we do for them etc. No we don't please them by doing everything they want us to and such because that may go against God and our faith and conscience but in all good things we can do our work well.

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
Ephesians 6:5-8

The many teachings written to servants can help us see how God wants us to work for others.

Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 23:10-12

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;.
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Matthew 20:25-28

It's always good to bring these things into our remembrance and it is encouraging to know that is what God wants. Jesus as usual is such a perfect example. He did so much for us...although He thought it not robbery to be equal with God. He lowered Himself so much to become a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death. He is so good.

Let us keep following hard after our glorious Saviour! We are here on earth still and shall have much tribulation but may we be of good cheer as He has overcome the world! He is risen and given us this hope too! Press on sisters.
