Edifying and Sharing Around the Word

Hello again sister saints!

How are you in the the Lord? I hope and pray you're going strong and well.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Hebrews 10:23-25

Let's be exhorting one another sisters...and provoking unto love and good works!

As my post title says, this is about sharing God's Word and being edified by it as sisters. If our lives are focused on God and loving Him with all that we are so will also our edification be based around God and His Word and our lives as sisters in that.

I have a scripture reading for you sisters here also. I hope it edifies and blesses you.

As I was out in God's creation reading that scripture to you I was messaging with a sister on the other side of the world also. That's a blessing to have technology to use for such things while we can. I sent her some pictures of the clouds and what I could see and a little rainbow I saw. She returned them with these scriptures on (thank you sister:-). Let us all be edified by His Word and creation...to give Him glory.

(Spot the tiny rainbow in that picture:-)

And we also talked about the little trials we have to go through on this earth (like heat and cold and all those other things that we might find 'hard') as being absolutely nothing.

We talked about brother Paul's sufferings and how much he suffered. That's encouraging to remember. He had to fight through it all though and endure till the end...just as we do.

Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.

Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.

Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;

In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

2 Corinthians 11:23-28

And so we know the Lord will also give us what we need to get through if we truly are trusting Him and living holy obedient lives. Nothing can harm us really can it sisters!

I saw this little sparrow taking a bath in the cold wind and rain and thought about how God cares for His creatures.

And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Luke 12:22-24

And so He cares for us, sisters. We know troubled times are upon this world and we know from God's Word that it will be bad in the end times, so let us always learn to fear God instead of what is going on around us. We know we will be persecuted...but that's only potentially damage to our mortal bodies and not our souls.

And I share more scripture pictures from the sister.

And let us ponder them all.

OK, so I hope the scriptures have been encouraging and getting to share them together as sisters who love the Lord.

Until tomorrow Lord willing sisters!

Love to you in Christ,

...from one of God's servants

Greetings sisters who love the Lord!

I'm back again! How was your day? Mine was busy doing housework cleaning up but I'm glad to be done with that for the day and coming here to post some edification for you sisters!

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Mark 12:29-31

That's a great one to ponder...I was thinking about what loving God with all our strength means in practice.

And I love thinking about this one...

And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Luke 21:1-4

That makes me think of what we are giving to God today in our works or something. We have all been given so much haven't we sisters!

(Beautiful sunset clouds I saw tonight.)

(Thank you faithful sister for those scripture pictures! Oh I just realised we picked similar scriptures for our sunset pictures today:-) Amen nothing is too hard for our great God!)

So that is what I have to share with my sisters today! May your day be joyous, peaceful, and fruitful in the Lord.

Stand strong sisters!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:10-11

Love to you in Christ,

Good day sister saints!

How's your day in Christ? Mine was good and I got a lot done. Let's remember how blessed we are daily because our lives could easily be a lot different and harder but we know the Lord will give us what we need in all things if we trust and obey Him. We are blessed to be able to work and walk and look after ourselves and serve others and we have food and raiment and much, much more. We have Job as an example of what we could go through and we know God allowed satan to do that. And being Christians today we know we are told we will be persecuted. So we need to be prepared and expect that or harder situations.

I was reading through the book of Zechariah and wanted to share a few edifying scriptures with you. Praise God for sending His Son into this world! And I share some of His peaceful creations too. Glory to Him!

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Zechariah 9:9

And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord.

Zechariah 11:12-13

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zechariah 12:10

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

Zechariah 13:1

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:16-17

Let us rejoice sisters for the great hope we have in Him! And we carry the precious truth of the gospel to others so they may repent also and have the hope of eternal life!

And just one Titus 2 pic from my day.

And some nice looking clouds...

Well sisters...that is my simple edification for your day! I hope yours is going well and Lord willing I hope to be back again with something else to edify and bless you tommorow.

Love, joy, and peace in Christ,

Sisters Prepared!

Greetings sisters!

What a blessing to serve such a great God that we do! He is so good to us all...to let us live after we sinned against Him so badly. May we humbly serve Him with our whole life! He is worthy sisters, amen!

For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

Deuteronomy 10:17-21

I was reading this this morning...

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Colossians 4:5-6

And it's something we sisters are always working on and learning from His Word.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Peter 3:15

That's a command isn't it...be ready always. Obviously we don't know everything straight away after coming to Christ in truth through His gospel but if we truly are seeking, the Lord will help guide us and grow us and we know He will give us wisdom if we ask.

We know it is of the most importance to be ready to share the life saving gospel. And obviously as women, knowing (and first living right of course) and being prepared to give an answer on or teach on the women's subjects is important too. And there may be opportunities for us to speak, giving an answer and defending God's truth in our daily lives as we go about being godly Titus 2 women or with those we reach out to.

All of us sisters have some kind of interactions with others or have to see and hear what they do. We can learn much from that and be preparing in our minds or looking for opportunities to speak God's truth. We know such times will definitely arise in our lives!

We can learn from even simple everyday things.

Today, I heard a family member complaining about the cold and rainy weather so I thought of this scripture...

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1 Corinthians 10:10-12

I want to fear God and not complain about anything. Are we not to give thanks in all things sisters!

And I heard the same family member talking about fighting for freedom and protecting people's lives. So I thought of this verse...because it's sad that they can fight for personal freedoms and a good life here on earth and not fight for people's souls. And this is people who claim to be followers of Christ.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mark 8:36

So if we are constantly thinking about the things of God then we will be not of an earthly mindset. We are to be setting our affections on things above aren't we? And walking in the Spirit not the flesh. And in such situations where we may have an opportunity to share God's truth then we will be more prepared.

Of course all of us sisters are not the same. Some like me, might come from being super quiet and have to work ten times harder in order to be able to speak to people as someone who talks more. On the other hand of course, a super talkative woman may have to talk less especially in certain situations and have to work ten times harder to keep from speaking where she shouldn't or what she shouldn't. We know from 1 Peter 3 and elsewhere that a woman is to have a quiet spirit (and not teach in the body gather per 1 Timothy 2, 1 Corinthians 14) so there are blessings to being a shy woman no doubt but also in this area I am speaking of in being prepared some challenges. We all have to work hard to be in our proper roles in Christ. We know we are to shine our lights and do good works so the Father will be glorified. And we know that God has us in the body all working together edifying and encouraging one another. We are not all the same but we all strive to be holy and blameless, aiming for perfection until the Father takes us home if we endure faithfully.

What a precious treasure of the gospel we sisters carry and as we mature in the faith we will be preparing and ready to give an answer as we learn more of God and His Word as the Spirit guides us.

What a blessing!

(What I write doesn't always fit with my post titles but the good thing is...guess what, it doesn't even matter! If anyone who reads is worried about that well I'm sure they have more serious issues to deal with.)

I thought this was interesting.

Two pictures taken out of my room window 4 months apart. Most all of the grass was brown and dead and now it is full of life. It happens gradually so it's hard to notice it happening. And it's just water that does that! God's amazing creations of the seasons and how the plants grow and respond to that.

It kind of reminded me of our growth in Christ. Sometimes we might think we aren't growing and we know we want to be and we keep seeking in His Word but then when we look back a little we can see it better. Anyway. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Praise God for the living water!

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
John 4:10

Thank you sister for these two pictures! Awesome creations with some of His Words! His power and wisdom is on display for all the world to see!

OK sisters that's all from me for now and I shall go. It seems there's so many things to do right now and I can only do so much but I got to edify and encourage you sisters one more day. Praise God for being able to share here.

Until next time sisters...tomorrow Lord willing...hold fast!

Good day sisters!

How was your day? Mine was busy with lots of housework and such like. You all know there can be a whole lot of things to do with that. And that is a good thing for us women to be about anyway so let us do it joyously.

And every day I enjoy fellowship with a sister.

Sometimes I'm just minding my own business and going for a walk and I find I'm being followed by the lambs...

There's a reason God uses sheep to describe people. I'm sure some other animals do it too but its interesting thinking about it all.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 10:27

And I share just a few of my Titus 2 duties I'm sure you sisters do in one way or another.

I made this scripture for a sister but I share it here too.

Yes one of my grandmothers taught me how to knit a little bit (which I don't do anymore because it doesn't seem very practical in today's world for making clothing really) but I'd rather be knit together in love in the body of Christ. That's way better!

I was just thinking that people often expect you to esteem more highly your earthly family than anyone else. Obviously Titus 2 calls for women to love their husband and children but it's not true that you have to be closer to your earthly family and extended earthly family than the family of God (particularly if they aren't biblical believers). There's lots of family partiality and pride around, which then leads to a lack of love for others and looking down on them even. But praise God for the true family of His who will be together for all eternity!!

I think of Jesus in such cases...

While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Matthew 12:46-50

This didn't used to make any sense to me that we were to love fervently in the body of Christ and yet the people who called themselves believers were loving things you hated and what God hates (sin). Of course we love everyone but when our focus is on loving God first and living holy lives then we all can have a godly love that cannot be found where sin is not taken seriously and strived to be overcome.

Sometimes I start out writing things and don't know where I'm going so I hoped I made sense. That's alright just read the Words of God and that will be good sisters:-) Maybe you understand and get what I say. Anyway.

That's my simple post today reaching out to you sister saints who love the Lord. How precious is God's true family and rare are those who truly love Him. One day we shall all be together safe with the Lord if we endure through all of this.

Until tomorrow sisters...Lord willing.

Love to you in Christ,

...from one of God's daughters.

New Things

Greetings one more day sisters!

I hope yours is going well or went well which ever it is:-)

I was wondering what to share with you all but then I thought we'd be uplifted and encouraged by looking at some verses about new things in the New Testament. How blessed we are to be living in these time. We get to be new creations in the new covenant! Anyway I hope these bless you as they did me.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Matthew 26:28-29

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 13:34-35

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Romans 7:6

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

2 Corinthians 3:6

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Galatians 6:15

In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 8:13

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Revelation 21:1

Praise God sisters! Precious words of truth! There's so many more verses which would be a good thing to spend some time looking up. Glory to God!

I recently had an encounter with a Torah keeping/Hebrew root woman who I had reached out to with the gospel and some truth. Sad how they don't focus on Christ and the new and living way He revealed to us through His blood. Just be prepared sisters to encounter these people and be ready to give an answer of the hope we have.

(Thank you sister for sharing those beautiful scripture pictures with me:-)

Birds outside my window today...

Amazing creations just quietly going about doing what they need to do.

Well sisters...let us cling to God's Word and truth found there in these dark days of deception. Lord willing I will be back tomorrow.

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 1:3-5

Love, joy, and peace to you,

Bits and Pieces for Edification

Greetings sisters!

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Romans 6:4-8

Amen sisters! Let us walk in newness of life!

I hope you sisters are doing well in the Lord. We know not to expect things to be perfect here don't we. We know there are physical weaknesses, limitations, and sufferings. We know we have a spiritual battle to fight too. And we know the faith we follow will mean we will face opposition and persecution for it.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:5-7

I went on a walk on the property today and saw these and other pretty flowers...

And an interesting fungi...

Amen and may our fruits show that we are abiding in Christ!

Winter vegetables in the garden...

All awesome creations doing what they are supposed to be and feeding mankind.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Genesis 1:29

And a veggie tuna bake I made tonight using pumpkin, cauliflower, cabbage, garlic and parsley from the garden (and other ingredients being onion, tuna, breadcrumbs, and cheese)

And some free juicy mandarins...

And this is an interesting snack...

I made some of these chocolate chia seed puddings; a delicious and healthy treat. I made these ones with coconut cream/milk, chia seeds, cocao powder, maple syrup, vanilla, and let it sit overnight. 😋

Well I guess that is some of my Titus 2 work as well as God's blessings of provisions and produce from the garden and His creations to give Him glory for.

Last night's sunset...

Thank you sister for sending me this scripture picture...I love that verse!

And I leave you with this precious truth!

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

And having an high priest over the house of God;

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:19-22
