Today's Edification (30 September 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

One more day of life we have to live! Our days are numbered and one by one we have less time to live. It is sobering really so let us keep preparing for our never ending existence. May we be forever with the Lord and not sent into a horrible place for our sins. Let us trust in our Saviour for His forgiveness and cleansing in His blood. Let us hope in His precious mercy, grace, and love. No we don't deserve it either but it is available for all who come to Him in repentance. Indeed freely we have received and freely we are to give. He has given us forgiveness and so we freely give that to others who wrong us. He has given us so many wonderful things which we also are to show to those around us including long suffering and mercy etc. May we keep walking in His ways with His help!

Another month is over. And it is time for a picture catch up post. I have been quite busy with a lot of the usual things but each day is a little different isn't it even when we do much of the same things. I sometimes go back and look at these posts myself as it's kind of a journal too and especially for the garden as I am still learning when to plant things here.

The lovely winter rain seemed to suddenly stop here as soon as spring came so there's a lot of watering needing to be going on already. Each year the seasons are a little different and you just have to go with things as of course a lot is outside of our control.

But this is a picture of God's mercies as He did send some rain last night and the flowers are still wet, and the sunshine is His mercy too!

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:44-45

I started some seedlings earlier in a warmer place and planted some of them out in the garden already. Yes I am recycling cardboard and you can just put them in the ground whole without disturbing all the plants roots.

There are some pumpkins, tomatoes and cucumbers there.

So sprouty these potatoes...

And they need to be the last to go into the ground as I learned last year not to plant them too late! They hate heat. Well the high 30s to mid 40s we get here. Hopefully won't get that hot for awhile here though.

Planted more carrots too...

It is satisfying seeing plants grow bigger and beds mostly free of weeds!

Lovely purple cabbage to make into a coleslaw.

I'm thankful for even the smallest potatoes...

It is such a blessing to have healthy things to sustain us physically.

Most important is His Word to feed us spiritually though.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Luke 4:4

I'm thankful the hens are laying again after the winter...

Such good healthy blessings eggs are! The Lord provides so much!

So many flowers around this time of year including the 'weeds'. But they still are pretty.

But they quickly fade too but the things of the Lord are eternal!
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:8

And the sun keeps running it's race each day. And so do we and we want to keep doing it to the end and be found faithful.

My little earthly home under the stars. I'm thankful for all He provides.

The birds here are so loud a lot of mornings. I'm sharing a video of them calling here which doesn't capture how loud they are but it's still nice.

I got myself a skirt sewn.

And I have been busy sewing 8 skirts someone ordered from me and finished them today. Satisfying when those ship out! Actually, shipping to the United States was suspended for awhile recently due to new tariffs coming in. And so now if you notice my shipping is higher to that country it is to include these tariffs. Just have to go with what the world does though. As Jesus said...
Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
Luke 20:24-25

And I leave you with more of His flower creations as there's just so many around here!

The glory be to His name alone!

Keep going in all the good duties the Lord has in the life He called you in sisters! May we all do our best as faithfully as we can as unto the Lord! Keep standing in the truth and be encouraged in what pleases Him! Love and mercy unto you in His name.

Today's Edification (29 September 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are well today and keeping faithful to the Lord! Yes we must keep fighting the good fight of faith and bringing our thoughts and actions into line with His Word! We will always face situations that require us to ponder His will and then obey it. It will teach us to be patient, long suffering, merciful and living at peace with those around us.

I'm sharing this scripture to edify us women today...

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

1 Peter 3:1-6

It is a blessing to have this written for us to be led by. Indeed we live by His every Word. Let us walk in these ways sisters, chaste and with meek and quiet spirits and in submission to first of all the Lord and if any of you have husbands, unto them. It is also interesting how we are to be in subjection to others.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:5-7

It is good to refresh in His ways and test our lives to them.

Keep striving on my sisters! Let us be redeeming the time in good things and preparing for eternity. The Lord help us all stay close to Him in an evil time. May we not grow weary but be renewed in the spirit of our mind day by day. We have so much encouragement in His goodness to keep pressing on! Love and mercy unto you. To God be the glory!

Today's Edification (28 September 2025)

Greetings sisters in Christ!

Hopefully you are standing faithful to the Lord where you are. One day all His faithful ones shall be gathered from the four corners of the earth into one place with Him for ever! For now, let us keep striving, though so few want Him and all His words and ways. But with the Lord who can be against us? Yes we may feel alone but by faith we believe in His precious promises to come and that He is a very present help. We truly believe that any losses or sufferings here are not worthy to be compared to our future gain. One day, we shall see Him as He is but today it is walking by faith. But we have His Word and eyewitness testimonies of His majesty, and the witness of Him in His creations around us. We hope to pass all the tests to our faith too. And live out our faith in our actions, for if we do not have appropriate actions, our faith is dead and that is tragic.

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

James 3:13-18

One day, the books shall be opened and all shall be judged according to their works. God is watching all people. Nothing goes unnoticed. May we wisely fear Him now and seek to please Him. We do not want our names blotted out of the book of life.

I'm sharing some encouragement for us to keep watching and being ready for our Lord's return...or our death for that matter too.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 25:1-13

This just makes me think that we each need to be fully responsible for ourselves. It is wise to think and plan ahead and we indeed are preparing for eternity. Reminds me of Noah and Lot as well because the people in their days were just living life as usual and destruction came. Had there been any more righteous people they would have been saved from those acts of God's wrath no doubt. So few there were and are. Let us be ready and watching and found worthy through Christ to escape His wrath.

And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

Remember Lot's wife.

Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Luke 17:26-33

So let us women keep pressing on in all our physical duties too. But let us not get too comfortable here as this is not our true home as we are just passing through. We don't have to have everything 'just right'. Yes we should have order and be diligent in what we need to do like keeping the house, but it is all temporary and we aren't living for this life but for the next, indeed for Christ. Let us remember we are His, members of His body, the chaste virgin for Him. Let us keep ourselves pure and unspotted from the world. We are just strangers and pilgrims in this world so let's not get too settled here. May our hearts and minds be above where Christ is!

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Colossians 3:1-4

So keep pressing on sisters! Love and mercy unto you.

Today's Edification (27 September 2025)

Hello again sisters!

I hope you are serving the Lord with joy and gladness today! I am dropping in with some edifying in the faith.

Here's some encouragement for us sisters on serving. Indeed let us look to our Saviour who gave us this perfect example in Himself!

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 20:25-28

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2:3-8

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Galatians 5:13-14

May we keep seeking to walk in His ways diligently. Our God is watching! May we please Him in all our ways. Hold fast sisters! Be strong and of good courage to keep doing what is right! My love to you in Christ Jesus.

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're doing well wherever you are and standing strong in Christ and His truth! May our faith be strong in Him as we do not see Him, but He said, "Blessed are they who have not seen and yet have believed."! Yes we need strong faith in this time when so few believe. Faith is foolishness to the world. But we become fools for Christ but are truly wise in God's sight and that is what matters!

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18-24

To fear the Lord is true wisdom so let us keep fearing and departing from evil.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7

Keep pressing on in the truth my sisters! The Lord give us all courage and strength to stand firm in the truth. Let us feed on His Word and live!

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Ephesians 6:23-24

Today's Edification (25 September 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here is another day to be thankful for all the wonderful things the Lord has done for us! It is good to always keep Him and His goodness in our hearts and minds because it is easy sometimes to have so much to do and needing to focus on that and do it well too that it takes a lot of our thoughts. But He is the reason for all we do as He doesn't want us to just be sitting around either. It will take much discipline for us to enter the kingdom too won't it. It takes denying ourselves, crucifying the flesh and indeed we are to be temperate which is a fruit of the Spirit. We need strong faith in such a faithless evil world.

But the mercies of God are clearly seen if we are humble and do not believe we deserve anything good in this life. Mankind could easily not exist had it not been for His longsuffering and mercy. Yet there is so much good on this earth still despite the horrendous suffering and darkness. There is so much beauty in His creations. Even to see a dew-covered rose in the morning is amazing and there's so very much more than that! And we have sunshine and rain and food and clothing and many many more blessings of comfort on this earth. He is merciful. May He receive all the glory!

Let us be ready to stand before the Lord and be judged.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
2 Corinthians 5:9-11

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Romans 14:10-11

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Revelation 14:6-7

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
1 Peter 1:17

Let us keep pressing on sisters, knowing we will face the judgment. May our good works be evidence of our faith on that great day. Hold fast sisters. Love to you.

Today's Edification (24 September 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I hope you are standing strong in the truth today and pressing on in all good things!

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:4

And so it also is a joy to hear of others walking in truth, few though they may be. May we hold tightly to the Lord and His truth and not let it go. It is so precious and so much is at stake if we let it go.

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Hebrews 2:1

Here is a faith strengthening scripture...

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Peter 1:16-21

We can rest and trust in the truth of our glorious Saviour! So let us follow Him in strong faith. Keep going in that where you are sisters! Mercy, peace, and love unto you in His name. He first loved us!

Today's Edification (23 September 2025)

Hello again sisters!

I'm just dropping in briefly on a really busy day here. I'm sure you have those yourselves and some are more full of necessary duties than others. But it is good to keep occupied in useful and essential duties of life isn't it sisters. Let us not grow weary in well doing!

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Titus 3:8

This is always encouraging of the godly widows...

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
1 Timothy 5:10

So let us also do our best with the circumstances we have. Our Lord knows and sees all things. Let us rest and trust in Him.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58

Love to my sisters who honour and obey our Lord! If He wills I will drop in tomorrow also. Keep striving in all truth where you are! Our reward is to come!

Today's Edification (22 September 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here is another day of God's mercies and goodness! We have received so much from Him haven't we! We too are to be givers in a variety of good things including love and forgiveness and mercy and serving and of our substance where we can.

I'm sharing this scripture as it's good...

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Romans 15:1-7

His Word and ways are so pure and good! Let's keep living in them!

I hope your duties are going well sisters. There's a lot of physical things we need to be busy in and we need to do those well too! The Lord help us all! Keep striving in all the truth sisters. Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (21 September 2025)

Hello sisters!

Here is another day to walk in His good ways! We know His ways are ones of righteousness and holiness and light and truth. They are of love, peace, joy, goodness, kindness, patience, and mercy. It is good to reflect on them all and go forth in our days practicing them. We never know what a day may bring forth and when we may face a sudden trial which would require us to practice His ways when it was really hard to do so. Following His ways means denying our own ways of our flesh and choosing His instead. As we know, faith without the fitting actions is no faith at all! We have taken the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ and therefore all we do must be under His authority. We are no longer our own. As His servants we want to be faithful to our Master in the ways He has left us with while He is 'gone'.

I'm sharing some scriptures that directly tell us what to follow!

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

1 Peter 2:21-23

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1 Thessalonians 5:15

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1 Timothy 6:11

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Hebrews 12:14

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:19

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Ephesians 5:1-2

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:27-28

Let us keep following our Shepherd and God and all His good ways! They have a great reward at the end don't they if we don't give up and of course they are also for our good and for the good of those around us. Let us hold fast to His ways in an evil time. Lord willing I will drop in again tomorrow with some edifying from the Word for my sisters! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (20 September 2025)

Hello sisters!

Here I am dropping in again with some encouragement for us all to keep running our race with patience! We need a lot of that, and endurance and long suffering and such like. But we must in order to be saved in the end. We will not reap if we faint in the faith. Let us take heed to the warnings given that we could fall away even in the very last hour of our lives. That would be so tragic so let us fight on. He is so worthy!

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:35-36

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
1 Corinthians 9:24

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 21:7

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Hebrews 12:1-3

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Matthew 24:12-13

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 3:5

Those are so encouraging! And there's so much more in His Word like that. Our God is so good and has given us all we need to endure if only we will lay hold of it and fight on! Let's remember our spiritual armour and use it!

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Colossians 1:10-14

That is precious! Glory to God!

And I am so thankful that our Lord is not a respecter of persons too as all will give account to Him and be judged equally, Jews and Gentiles.

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

For there is no respect of persons with God.

Romans 2:7-11

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Acts 10:34-35

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:11-13

So keep pressing on in hope sisters! May the Lord give us strength and peace and joy to continue to do His will in a faithless and dark time. Hold fast where you are sisters! My love to you in Christ Jesus our Lord and Master.
