Daughters for His Glory

Today's Edification (31 May 2025)

Greetings again sisters!

Here is another day God has granted us in His mercy! We have many of His mercies of rain and sunshine and life and so many other blessings. Yes there are hard things on this earth because of sin and it's effects in the world but we deserve far worse things so let us keep hoping in His mercy and striving to please Him. He has done so much for us in His love and goodness.

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
Isaiah 63:7-9

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 2:4-6

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Romans 11:22

Yes it's not something to be taken lightly or abused at all. Let us abide in His goodness and love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:10

I'm sharing some older scripture pictures today! His Word and His creations are always good! May we be edified with them all. Good to focus on good things in this world that is so often facing other things...like sin and suffering and death. God is good.

His Word and creations are refreshing! Godly saints who are striving on in faith and love refresh me as well!

For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
1 Corinthians 16:18

Today's Edification (30 May 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I am back again to share some edifying with you in the Lord! I hope you're pressing on in the truth. His Word is the truth by which we live.

Good to keep the Lord's goodness before us as we also remember His severity and judgement. He is the author of all good and there is no glory to man.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 3:16

It's just good to remember that...

We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1 John 4:19-21

We do want to be faithful servants though, like in the parable Jesus told where the master said "Well done, good and faithful servant." That is truly like what we ourselves want to be found to be worthy of, as yes we have been called to walk worthy of our high calling. We have our work to do which is obeying Him, and first of all believing in Him of course. But in it all we are just doing our duty and reasonable service yet it pleases Him. Reminds me a bit of this scripture...

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
Proverbs 27:2

Which reminds me of these scripture truths...

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
James 4:10

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 23:12

Let us continue in His ways for He has shown us them!

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8

Hold fast sisters! Let us remember He is a God of all mercies and comfort for His children.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Amen.

Today's Edification (29 May 2025)

Hello again sisters!

I trust you're pressing on in the Lord and His truth. We must endure in the faith until the end to be saved! So let us press forwards.

Jesus said we adults can learn some things from children.

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
Matthew 18:1-7

And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
Luke 18:15-17

Good to ponder how we are to be. We have a heavenly Father to humbly trust in.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Romans 8:13-19

We have an amazing inheritance as His children! Let us fear and honour Him.

And it's interesting that we are also taught to honour our earthly parents as well and indeed all people. There's so many spiritual truths reflected in physical things with marriage being another example of Christ and His bride, the ekklesia. And we see in the book of Hebrews all the shadows that were in the law and how the priests acted and also how the tabernacle was made etc. A lot of depth in the truth indeed!

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:26

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Yes there are conditions to being His children. Let us have reverance and godly fear yet trust and confidence in His love for His children.

Today's Edification (28 May 2025)

Greetings one more day sisters!

I am dropping in again to share some edifying in the Lord who is worthy of all glory and all sharing about! Let us focus on Him through this life by faith. We need a lot of faith in this faithless generation. We know we must fight the good fight of faith and endure faithfully unto the end. We know we are to be faithful servants doing what He wants of us while He is gone and ready for His return.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 25:19-21

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Revelation 2:10

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1 Peter 5:8-9

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Hebrews 10:23

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.

So let is continue in the faith sisters! We shall overcome with it.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Today's Edification (27 May 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are well today and striving on in the faith and truth!

I'm sharing some scriptures of how we are to relate to other people especially when dealing with situations that may be challenging. It's just good to ponder the characteristics and qualities and reactions we should have. We shouldn't be at all like someone people need to be careful of offending or fragile and certainly not getting angry at them at the slightest thing or really ever. This is of the flesh and not the Spirit. It's God's job to be angry at sin and unbelievers. We surely are to have zeal for the Lord and abhoring all evil but we are not the avengers. God is. It's just good to ponder and examine our lives. I think of a rubber band that can be stretched a very long way as how we should be rather than something fragile and easily broken. And it may be easy to say when things are going well but what about how we may react when faced with the greatest evil against us? May the Lord help us. When it's hard is the true test of our faith I believe. It is in many areas really. Our Saviour Himself also was a good example in this! So I will share some of His Word by which we live though there are many more. May we strive to walk worthy of our holy calling as His daughters!

We are to be slow to wrath...

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
James 1:19-20

We are not to be easily provoked...

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Corinthians 13:5

We are to be long suffering...

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Ephesians 4:2

We are to be patient...

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
1 Thessalonians 5:14

We are to be meek and avoiding strife...

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2 Timothy 2:24-25

We are to live at peace...

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans 12:18

We are to be merciful...

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Luke 6:36

We are to love...

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law...Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Romans 13:8,10

We are to do good to all...

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

We are to return good for evil...

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1 Thessalonians 5:15

We are to forgive...

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Mark 11:25-26

And I'm sure there's many more scriptures and qualities we are to have too that are related. We have so very much good guidance the Lord gave us! We are without excuse. Indeed these are His cammands and will for us. Let us obey them for His glory and our good.

Hold fast to all truth sisters! Love to you in His name. He first loved us! Glory to His name alone!

Today's Edification (26 May 2025)

Hello again sisters!

Hope all is well with you and especially that you're pressing forwards in the faith! Let us overcome all things in Him!

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John 5:4

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 3:5

There are many promises for those who overcome! Our Saviour has overcome the world and we can overcome all we need to as well and be faithful unto death! The Lord help us!

Sharing some psalms because they're good!

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Psalm 130:1-8

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

We have so much hope in Him to keep pressing on! Let's keep doing that one day at a time! Eternity with our Lord and God in an exceeding better place will be worth it all! Strive on my sisters as good soldiers of Christ! My love to you in His name. Rejoice in hope!

Today's Edification (25 May 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're walking in the truth and light diligently today! It's just good to stop and reflect on our life and all we do and make sure it's in order under the Lord's will. We have a lot to strive to be faithful in. And it is all unto the Lord, or should be anyway, as we purge out that which is not pleasing to Him.

Let all things be done decently and in order.
1 Corinthians 14:40

It's good to ponder that our God is one of order and not of chaos or confusion or lack of control. The Word tells us some about this but of course a lot of it is telling us what is His order and ways even if it doesn't use the exact word.

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
Titus 1:5

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
1 Corinthians 11:34

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
Colossians 2:5

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
1 Timothy 3:15

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
1 Corinthians 14:33

And we have some admonition for those who are disorderly...

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
2 Thessalonians 3:6-15

So let us strive to be in God's order as saints and also as women. And there's everyday physical things too to make sure we have order in as well. Our whole life is for the Lord and we are not our own so every part of it is to be brought into line with His order and ways! Let's strive to do our best and He knows our hearts! It is a blessing to keep growing and learning for He is indeed so worthy!

I'm just sharing these scriptures too as they are good...

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1 Timothy 6:11

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22

We're blessed to have so much guidance and plain truth for us to know how to walk through this life and to please God!

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
1 Thessalonians 4:1

Let us strive on in this sisters! Hold fast. Love to you.

Today's Edification (24 May 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

Yes I am back again as the Lord allowed it! Humans surely are limited and our times are in His hands. Our life is but a vapor and we may be here today and gone tomorrow. All humans are heading towards eternity. When you're out in the world and you see people rushing about their lives, you can't help thinking death and the grave is coming for them. God wants none to perish we know but man's heart is hard and evil and few want the truth.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1 Timothy 2:1-6

I'm thankful there is a mediator and we can be reconciled back to God! There is hope...in Christ! May we press on in the faith and obedience.

Let us remember the trials here are nothing compared to the glory to come!

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Yes all we can see can sometimes be in our minds a lot but let us look past it all to the things that we can't see which are eternal.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Colossians 3:1-2

I read 2 Corinthians 5 for us here today. I know I have all the new testament readings elsewhere on my blog (here) but it's always good to share His Word again! It's just a good and encouraging chapter with a warning for us too and a reminder of our wonderful Saviour!

Today's Edification (23 May 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here's another day to go forth in His goodness!

Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
Psalm 31:19

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psalm 107:8-15

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
Psalm 145:3-12

Just some good scriptures for our day! His goodness leads us to have hope and comfort in following Him, repenting of any sinful ways that lead to Him being angry at us. Let us remember the severity of sinning against Him who is such a holy God. He had to send His beloved Son to suffer and die as our way of escaping His wrath if we believe and follow Him. Praise God there is hope! But there is only one narrow way and let us strive to find and enter it!

Yes I got to see some really beautiful autumn colours lately! There's not really many trees that change their colour in autumn here but some here and there. So I am sharing some pictures (and a video) so the Lord can be glorified in His wonderful creations!

This was just a town I had to go to to take my sewing machine in for a service and repair. Just one more beautiful thing in His creation! Let us be His obedient creations too!

I have had a busy day so will go now and will keep finishing up my day here. Keep seeking after the truth sisters and walking in it! Our Lord is worthy. Love to you, mercy and peace.

Today's Edification (22 May 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I hope this finds you pressing on in the truth! No there's not many who love the truth and it has been recorded in His Word throughout history that man's heart is evil and goes astray, loving the flesh and this life. There's no new thing. We don't look for big numbers or any number in fact. We each need to be faithful to God alone. We do not seek the approval of man and to fit in to this world. Jesus said many would try to enter but only few would be able. Let us consider ourselves thoroughly warned and be wise to heed the truth.

Indeed our Lord and Saviour has been ordained as the judge of all. May we abide in His love lest we be under His wrath.

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Acts 10:42

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Acts 17:30-31

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
2 Corinthians 5:9-11

Let us be ready, sisters. Let us heed the One whom the Father sent us. He is precious and His love great but His just wrath is coming on the ungodly. Keep walking in the truth sisters. Love to you in the Lord.

Today's Edification (21 May 2025)

Hello sisters!

I'm dropping in again with some of His Word to edify! I have had a busy day but there's always His Word to share!

I was just thinking of how we have been told there's going to be much deception and falling away. So I share some scriptures here to remind us of this truth. Let us be so aware of this and be careful, testing all things and people to the Word of truth. We shall be judged to the Word.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Acts 20:28-31

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1 Timothy 4:1

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:3

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Lots of admonition for us. Let us be wise and hear them. Hold fast sisters and strive on! Love to you in the Lord.
