Hello again sisters!
I'm here one more day to share some edifying and encouraging in the Lord! And all we do is to be for His glory and as unto Him, so nothing good and true is in vain is it! We do so many things over and over and over and so we don't want to grow weary in any of it do we. Not that sometimes we may need to change things in our lives or the Lord changes things or leads us differently but just because we repeat something again doesn't mean we should feel like "Oh I said that already so I shouldn't again". In fact I was listening to the Word and there's things about repeating things as well. We can be very forgetful creatures can't we!
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.Philippians 3:1
This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:2 Peter 3:1-2
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.1 Corinthians 15:1-2
It is good to keep all good things fresh in our minds!
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Hebrews 3:12-14
And no I don't think that you need me to keep standing and striving on in the Lord but it surely is a correct biblical concept to be encouraged by other saints! We all have to be faithful before the Lord and examine our own lives and make changes needed but we surely can encourage one another if we have those opportunities which I really do also understand are rare in these lasts days.
Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.2 Corinthians 1:24
I like that...helpers of your joy! Just some extra joy to know of saints striving on and be able to encourage each other! We have much to be joyful about in our Saviour who God sent us and the hope we have through Him but there's even more blessings He gives us on top of those! Truly we are rich in the Lord!
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.James 1:26-27
We know what we do defiles us not what we are near or among as we must still live on this earth. We are to keep ourselves unspotted from the evils of it and not love it.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:15-17
It's just all so vain what man is striving after. May we seek after that which is eternal and do the will of God.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.Proverbs 31:30
God is good to have shown us the way.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?Micah 6:8
Yes, let us walk humbly with our God, submitted to Him, living by faith, content and thankful in a quiet and simple life, free from the world and the lusts thereof. His ways are precious sisters. May we hold fast to what we have and take heed of the warnings of what can happen if we aren't careful.
