Today's Edification (19 December 2024)

Greetings sister saints!

I hope this finds you doing well in the Lord! He is always good and yet reality is that we do sometimes struggle in this life and that's normal too. We know we must through much tribulation enter the kingdom so I like to be real about it and we do not think this life is going to be all easy. But there's always much to be thankful for, to rejoice in...and that is in and for the Lord and all His goodness and mercy and blessings! So keep pressing on however your life is! There are times and seasons in this life.

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
James 5:13

I've had a lot of time to listen to the Word lately and while there's many things to ponder, one thing is that I am thankful God is not partial and a respecter of persons! And neither are we to be. Sharing some scriptures on it.

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Acts 10:34-35

For there is no respect of persons with God.
Romans 2:11

And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
Ephesians 6:9

But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Colossians 3:25

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
1 Peter 1:17

I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
1 Timothy 5:21

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

James 2:1, 9

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17

I'm thankful for His goodness and ways to walk in! It's a blessing to know He knows all things perfectly and will judge completely fairly without bias. That's comforting and yet we know we still need to keep working out our salvation as we haven't finished our race yet!

Sharing a few more scriptures on waiting on the Lord too!

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
Lamentations 3:25

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.
Jeremiah 14:22

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Good ones to encourage us to rest and trust in Him!

Well I shall go now. Keep going strong in all your duties as godly women! I find the scripture about not growing weary in well doing so encouraging to keep me pressing on and I'm sure it does to you too! Our Lord is worthy to be pleased and praised! Hold fast sister saints!
