Today's Edification (9 May 2024)

Good day sisters!

I hope you are striving on in the Lord and overcoming! Every day if we're doing that is a good day in the Lord and we know all things...yes all things...work for good for us who love Him.

We all need to have discipline for ourselves in everything don't we. It's constant watching out for our own actions and if we see something that needs to change we make corrections. If we see something in our lives that is distracting us unnecessarily we take action to stop it. Of course there's things we need to do which may 'seem' like distractions but really they need doing even if our mind may need to focus on them as earthly things. But the Lord has told us to work and do many physical things so we do them because they're pleasing to Him! But if there's something that isn't necessary we can eliminate as much as we can. We want to focus on Him don't we sisters!

I'm thankful for the armour the Lord has given for us to put on. That means we're in a battle and we know it. So keep fighting sisters! I'd never want one of my sisters to give up, lay down the armour and be totally vulnerable to attack and lost. Don't grow weary in well doing! We know that can happen even if it's the last thing we want to happen, so we need to look after one another best we can too and be vigilant ourselves. Of course we just need the Lord but we sure know from scripture that we are to edify, love, and care for one another and so much more!

I pray the Lord will keep my desire for Him and my love for truth always until the end and I hope and pray the same for you all. Treasure what you have sisters and don't take it for granted. We don't want to be like the servant who buried what the lord gave him but like the ones who did something with what they were given.

Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
Luke 19:16-17

I was thinking how everything good is in the Lord. All the hope we have is...in Him. All the joy we have...is in Him. All the mercy we have...is in Him. All the peace we have...is in Him. All the comfort we have...is in Him. All the life we have...is in Him. And on and on. He truly is everything! Outside of Him is nothing but darkness, hopelessness, despair, death, and all bad things.

I was thinking of life. There's so much life in Christ. Although we die to find life in Him He truly makes us alive!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John 20:31

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1 John 5:11-12

I read some scriptures on eternal and everlasting life!

(Oh, I said the wrong thing on that audio. I said the sheep on His left hand but they're on His right but you know what I mean. I always listen to what I say cuz I don't want to get anything wrong...especially if it's something to do with His truth. I was referring to this scripture, Matthew 25:33
"And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left." Just thought I'd leave a note on that:-)

Keep pressing on the path to eternal life sisters.

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:14

Yeah that's the way we want to be on...the strait and narrow. It's interesting to go look up those words in the Greek as well as 'wide' and 'broad' to describe where most people are on to destruction at the end. Let's keep fighting sisters! It's a tight path with trials and tribulations but much joy in Him, our precious Saviour!

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Proverbs 6:23

Good to ponder on that and how all His commands are for our good for guiding us rightly. We know His commands are not grievous! So many seem to think they are and think we need to be set free from them. But what makes us free sisters? The TRUTH!!

Aren't these dew drops awesome...

Water is an amazing creation! Glory to the Creator!

Pumpkins aren't safe even in the wheelbarrow...

"You can't have them anymore, rats!". Ha.

Another load going up the hill to the safety of the house. Satisfying getting things inside away from predators. When you plant the seeds you never know what will happen in the months following. It's still amazing to ponder how God made His creations to grow from a tiny seed and produce food for mankind and greatly multiplied more seeds for the future!

Sheepdog is obsessed with watching the chicks...

But even if she's gentle she's still a meat-eating creature and a chick would make a tasty snack so I didn't trust her to keep doing that.

Kind of reminds me of the heart of man and how even in the Lord we can all sin so we can't trust in man really. Not fully, even though we sisters try our best to be trustworthy by following His ways. Lessons in nature to ponder as we go about our days and see things in our physical works.

I love this scripture...

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22

...especially about following all those good things 'with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart'. Purity for the Lord is such a rare thing and a blessing when you can know of others like that and get to press one another on and sharpen each other.

The flip side is biblical separation from those who do not follow after those things with a pure heart or are out of order from the holy ways of truth.

I share a favourite scripture...again...

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Matthew 5:8

I probably keep saying but seeing God and being allowed into His presence one day is too much to fathom really. He is too good to His children and He has done so much for us.

One way our heart is purified is by trials right sisters? Of course first of all by being washed in Christ's blood and made new in Him by the Spirit but on going we keep seeking His ways and testing all things, putting away the impure and cleaving to the good and pure. But yes definitely trials refine and purify us. Let us keep learning to embrace them as good.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 1:7

Press on with determination sisters! I hope to be back tomorrow if the Lord has everything in place for me to do so like He has most days for years. There's so much we don't want to take forgranted. We want to be super thankful people, never complaining amen my sisters.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 2:14-15

God's grace, mercy, love, and peace be with you, His holy daughters!

My love be with you in Christ,

Sister Chayil
