Today's Edification (13 January 2024)

Hello sisters!

The Lord be glorified in our lives on this day we will never get again! Let us be redeeming it in good works.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Ephesians 5:15-16

Here's some scriptures on forever. Let us labour for that which is eternal!

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

John 6:51

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Romans 11:36

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

 1 Peter 1:23

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:17

And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Revelation 5:14

Next Luke reading here...

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4

Yes we are in a time when false Jesus (and false gospels) abounds. Let us follow the one true Jesus of the scriptures, the great Shepherd of the sheep!

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Hebrews 13:20-21

Awesome scripture and truth that is! Praise God for a Saviour!

Remember our Saviour was tempted greatly...yet without sin! Let that encourage us to keep resisting and overcoming all things for His glory!

And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

Mark 1:11-13

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:15-16

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

James 1:12

We are blessed if we overcome! And we sure can in His strength!

People fear dangerous animals, viruses, cancer, and many other things. But do they fear...SIN. It is eternally deadly if not repented of.

For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:20-23

Let us strive against and flee all sin.

As you quietly watch the sun slip below the horizon...you know time is moving on. Eternity is coming. The time when all shall stand before the judgement seat of Christ. It can be a surreal feeling as it sinks in. Today we walk by faith but let us prepare to meet our God.

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

Amos 4:12

It can be a feeling of excitement and yet fear because we know how holy He is and we haven't finished our race yet. We know our Saviour is our perfect Mediator and without Him we have not a chance to make it into the Lord's presence. Yet we know we have our race to run and the battle to fight in and overcome.

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

1 Peter 4:18-19

Fight on sisters! There is hope in Christ!

Let's keep being...

disciples of Christ
students of the Word
children of the Highest
daughters of the King
soldiers of Christ

And more!

Keep pressing on sisters! Our redemption draws nearer! Watch and be ready for our Lord!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
