Today's Encouragement (8 November 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I am back again sharing here. Praise God for giving us this day! I hope this finds you all striving on in the faith. In the Lord, our labours are not in vain and we rejoice to be set free from that which is not worthwhile! Christ came to save us out of our sins. Praise God for that!

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Matthew 1:21

Today I am going to share an experience I just went through that I hope can edify you sisters also and help you be on guard yourself. We all should never stop growing and conforming our lives to be obedient to the Lord's ways. There will always be areas we should be working on and growing in so we must never get lazy and sit back and not press on and purge our lives of our weaknesses or sins.

And if you have some saints in your life who care about you to help train you up and teach and bring issues or sins they see in you to you, that is a great gift. Thank the Lord for that! We know how few the true saints are who love the Lord and each other!

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 13:34-35

I am thankful to know some sisters who are in my life who love and care for me. It was needful for them to bring me some correction to help me in some areas recently. I will admit I did not take this well at first and shamefully tried blaming others for my shortcomings. What this did was add more sin on top of the issues I already needed to work on. Not a good thing to do. It reminded me of this scripture where they blamed others for their own sins...

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Genesis 3:12-13

Let that not be so among us sisters and let us humbly accept correction and take action to address what we need to and repent of any sins. We do not want pride to keep us from seeing our need but be humble and teachable so the Lord can show us what we need to see. And He sure can lift us up and restore us with His peace and joy!

Praise God for biblical discipline and separation because it helped me see the depths of what I was doing and had done and I repented. God can do a lot if we sisters have willing hearts...like clay in the Potter's hands.

We know this life is a high calling and we were told the righteous will scarcely be saved. So this is not something we can take lightly...sin in our lives.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8

There are very many scriptures I could share on the subject. We saints are not playing Sunday church (false religion) where you can basically be whoever you like and practice as many sins as you like and just slip in and slip out of the church building one day of the week no one caring whether you are in sin or not. That is wickedness. His ways are good and all over the scriptures we are told to forsake our sins lest we die. Sins lived in without repentance lead to death we see and know.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23

But praise God there is hope through our Saviour if we repent!

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Romans 8:13

This is the job saints have...

Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins .

James 5:19-20

And I am thankful for saints who do that to one another. It can be a hard thing to do in the flesh...give and receive correction but for God's glory and obedience to His Word it must be done. It is godly love. If a saint is in sin and someone knows about it and they just overlook it then in reality that means they don't mind if the person goes to hell. This is a serious thing.

We also know our God is a God of redemption!

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:14

And we saints also have a part in that in helping people be reconciled to God (and to each other).

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

2 Corinthians 5:18

So in conclusion, let us sisters be on guard and careful how we take correction. We all want to be judging ourselves first to make sure we are dealing with our own issues and if it comes to the point where others need to rebuke us, let us be very grateful for that and address what we need to.

Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 9:8-10

And praise God for the unity and forgiveness in the body when we all walk in His ways in the light!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:7

Hold fast sisters and let's keep abiding in the Lord and walking in His truth with joy! Let us not err from the truth.
