Today's Encouragement (5 April 2022)

Greetings in love to my sisters!

I hope today you're holding fast in the Lord and not being hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. What a joy to encourage each other to cling to Christ and His doctrines.

While we have been given many blessings, we know each one is the Lord's as He owns us and created this world. For us as Titus 2 women we may have many things that help us with our work. But we don't want to ever think they are 'ours' or cling to them and be surprised if they are taken away. And there are many other blessings we have. But all these could be taken away and what is left is our eternal soul. So we want to make sure we have our focus on such eternal things of God and our souls.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 16:24-27

But in all our daily life blessings, just as Job said when he lost most all things except his life, we can know the Lord can take them away. But our life is more than these things.

We don't want to hold on to anything but trust in Him, as losing all those things will not separate us from Him (except if we allow them to of course).

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Psalm 24:1

A sister was sharing today (in an audio call I had with some sisters) about how we don't want to be lamenting over the things God does. Like for example if someone dies in their sin and we spend too much time hoping they would have had more time to repent or grieving over them and instead we should leave all things in the Lord's hands as His ways and judgment are His, and everyone's life and breath are in His hands.

Or even in things such as if we have to separate from others over the truth...we don't want to become too affected over it because really they are rejecting God's ways. And we need to see the truth of the matter and the Word strengthens us in this truth. Ultimately we should be concerned about the glory of God most and that His ways and justice and truth are upheld. We know that those who are not saints are outside of God's salvation and His wrath awaits them. And we remember all are without excuse. We just have to trust all these things to the Lord. He is in control! And especially as women we know we aren't the leaders and authorities so will need to trust so much to the Lord knowing things are outside of our control also. But we do have our part in sharing the truth of the gospel and being a shining light and salt, being faithful to God. Keep pressing on in this sisters!

(Thank you sister for sending the beautiful flower creations:-)
