Rejoicing in the Word of God

Greetings sisters!

How are you? Hope you are doing well and are strong in our Lord!

I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Psalm 119:162

Aren't you so glad we have the Word of God? I am! What a blessing and great gift the Lord has given us! And we sisters take that seriously and feed on His Word and obey it don't we.

And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.

1 Samuel 3:19

I like that. If only people today who claim His name would do that too. Precious words they are. It says 'none of His words'. Sadly some pick and chose what they want to hear and obey don't they. A woman may go so far in her obedience to biblical dress...and stop where she feels comfortable...ignoring an area of scripture say for example headcovering. We don't want that do we sisters. God is so much more worthy of half hearted obedience and stopping short when it gets harder in the flesh. Plus wilful disobedience and rebellion (sin) is not going to lead to eternal life either.

...sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

(James 1:15b)

How extra blessed we are today to have the full Word of God revealed in His Son! Let us treasure it and live it in our lives...even unto death!

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 17:15-17

We don't need anything else, no new revelations or 'truths' do we. It's the Spirit Himself who teaches and opens eyes isn't it sisters. We don't need all those books of man of all kinds of opinions and beliefs. The Word is enough! It's from God Himself who is perfect!

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

We know it must be important if God has something included in His Word (especially His instructions for the NT ways). God does nothing idle does He! So we don't take any of His commands lightly. He spent, via Paul, 16 verses (in 1 Corinthians 11) on the place of women and why they should cover their heads. He told women via Paul and Peter how they should not adorn externally (1 Timothy 2, 1 Peter 3). He gave command via Paul how women ought to be silent in the body not teaching men (1 Corinthians 14, 1 Timothy 2). And for wives to submit to husbands (Ephesians 5, Colossians 3).

We shouldn't let any of these or all the many other commands 'fall to the ground' so to speak or ignore them. What would that tell us if we knew that God gave us instructions and commandments but we didn't look and see and then obey them? Wouldn't it tell us we did not love God? It would show we still want to do our own things that's for sure and we are in a way our own god. We must take God seriously mustn't we sisters! I know my sisters do! It's refreshing to see those who do not try to make excuses for what the clear word of God says (or refuse to look). We will be held accountable with what we did with what we had in easy access. We all have the Word and the eyesight and definitely the time (because it's so important) to look and search and then obey...if we love God and are His. He is to be first isn't He sisters and He will have no gods before Him (like ourselves). Let us be a witness, standing against those who take His Word so very lightly. And live giving glory to God who bought us with a great price and calls us to be peculiar people zealous for good works!

Here's this most well known verse for us women...

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:4-5

And we certainly do not want to blaspheme the word of God by our disobedience.

How precious is this...

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Revelation 6:9

And so let us also be willing and ready to die for the word of God. He is so so worthy of it all.

How precious are all the things we have been given. We don't want to trample this all or take it lightly at all do we.

Remember this sisters...

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

John 8:47

Many just will not understand will they. We hope they will seek and God may open their eyes to truth. There is hope through the gospel isn't there sisters!

Quick Titus 2 pic of the day and good provisions from the Lord...

How blessed we all are to have physical food but most importantly the word of God by which man lives.

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

Jeremiah 15:16

I'm sure the longer we walk in this life in Christ the more we see the high ways of God as opposed to man's evil ever changing ways. We see all He says is true. We see how few truly value His Word and truly have any faith in Him and love each other. But sisters what a firm foundation we can have builded upon Christ and His Word and ways.

OK sisters I must go now but I hope you were encouraged by pondering the goodness of the Lord in giving us His Word! And I know we sisters all want to conform our lives to what we are to do as godly women! Lord willing I shall be back here tomorrow...hold fast to the truth of the Word sister soldier saints!

Love in Christ to you!

Sister Michaela
