Edification for 21 September

(You can see the moon in that picture too if you look close. Awesome creations doing what they were created for:-)

Well hello sister saints!

How are you? I trust you are striving on in the truth and not allowing the flesh and fear to overcome your joy in Christ. Yes there may be things going on in the world which we don't like, and we don't know about most of it, but we know it's dark! But that shouldn't be surprising should it. We know God told us of dark times with great apostasy and we also know it is no new thing that man is wicked. We know about the Flood, we know about Sodom and Gomorrah and I find this sobering too...

There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Luke 13:1-5

There are people who seem 'not so sinful' but unless they repent they too will likewise perish. Let us not be deceived by them or people who claim Christ but have false ways and sins. Let's cling to God's Word as there is only one narrow way isn't there sisters. That is Christ Jesus and His gospel!

I'm so thankful for those in the body of Christ who care for one another daily! We already know the world is filled with empty and vain things. But what a blessing for us to each be seeking after that which is eternal! And to edify and press each other on in that is a real blessing and is worthwhile.

I was thinking about this verse and how it is tied with our loving of others.

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Luke 6:31

We want to be humble servants don't we sisters serving the Lord and others.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Romans 13:10

I was studying my way through 1 Corinthians 13 the other day. Praise God for that one. It's good to ponder each point...and see if we are cultivating them all in our lives.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine ; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

1 Chronicles 29:11-13

And a beautiful butterfly I saw today when I was pulling some weeds...

Glory to God for all His creatures and creations! What an almighty Creator He is!

And more beautiful roses...

(the air around them smells beautiful too!)

Dishes washing...

And some good food to share...

Just some simple Titus 2 pics:-) and thankfulness to the Father for food and clothing and so many more blessings we all have!

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

1 Timothy 6:6-9

And I share these scripture pictures from a faithful sister...

I love that one! Paul rejoiced to see their stedfast faith and order. And one particular one comes to mind in terms of order of godly women being silent in the gatherings and in their proper order wearing a covering too. It's a joyous thing when God's ways are followed! He is holy...so may we be too!

Right sisters! Let's bring forth good works and good fruits of the Spirit!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

And it also reminds me of this in watching our words...

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

James 3:10-12

Amen sisters...we haven't got to the end yet.

And I'll leave you with this one...

Strive on sisters!

Love to you all!

Sister Michaela
